Eliana's Point of View

I barely got any sleep that night because of the nightmares. Even though I was exhausted, I had to get up and get ready for my first day of school. I thought I would be able to move on from my past after leaving my father's home, but it seemed I was wrong. It looked like it would now haunt me in my dreams.

After taking a shower, I put on a pair of blue shorts and a black T-shirt. I put my long hair in a high ponytail. Then, I grabbed my cell and bag and headed downstairs. I was about to leave when I heard Ashley speak

"Eliana, hey," Ashley said. I was hoping to leave without seeing anyone. I turned around to see her and Killian. They looked like the perfect couple. He was wearing a pair of light blue jeans and a blue T-shirt. His short blond hair was styled back neatly. Ashley was wearing a pink sundress, and her long blond hair was hanging loose down her back.

"Hello," I said

"Are you leaving already?" she asked.

"Yeah, I want to make sure I make it to my first class on time, I replied

"Killian, can you take us today? I know you don't like getting up early..."

"I will take you," Killian replied. I looked up, shocked that he agreed to take me to class. Ashley seemed to be shocked as well

"Really?" Ashley asked

"Yeah, I will go get ready," Killian replied, and he walked away

"I am shocked. I have asked him so many times to take me to school in the morning, but he always said he was too tired. He must be really falling for me. I knew it," Ashley said cheerfully.

About ten minutes later, we got into Killian's car. I didn't know much about cars, but I knew his must have cost a fortune. He had a Tesla. I got into the back seat, while Kiliian got into the driver's seat and Ashley got into the passenger seat.

"So what is your first class?" Ashley asked

"History of Supernatural creatures," I said. Enchanted Academy was the number one supernatural school in the world. Every supernatural being wanted to go there. They had different majors. Mine were spells and potions. There were classes that everyone had to take, no matter what their major was, and Supernatural Creatures was one of them. They wanted all of us to learn about each other.

It was crazy to me that all supernatural beings wanted to go there because not all got along. Vampires, Werewolves, and Dragons didn't get along. It seemed that they learned how to coexist had at Enchanted Academy because there was no bloodshed there. Witches pretty much got along with everyone, and so did fairies, so I didn't have anything to worry about.

"Oh, we are in the same class. Killian is in our class as well, but he is usually late," Ashley said. I looked at Killian through the rearview mirror to see that he was looking at me. When our eyes connected, we both quickly looked away. Why did I feel a shiver when our eyes met? I shook my head. I shouldn't even be thinking about him.

Once we arrived at the building where our class was in we got out of the car and headed inside. Everyone was staring as we passed by. I just ignored them. I knew they were staring at me.

We went into the classroom, and I took a seat. Ashley sat next to me, and Killian sat behind us. We were about five minutes early. At eight oclock on the dot, the teacher walked into the room. "Hello, I am Mr. Mann. I will be your teacher this semester. I will start off the day by having everyone introduce themselves. I would like for you to tell us your name, where you are from, and something interesting about yourself."

Everyone started to introduce themselves. When it got to me, Mr. Mann seemed to get excited. "You are Eliana Rose. You have no idea how happy everyone is that you are here this year," Mr. Mann said. Everyone was already looking at me, but now it seemed they were all wondering why he was so happy I was there. I hated having all the attention on me. I just sat down and let the next person introduce themself.

The first half of the day went by quickly. Ashley and I were in the same classes but I had no other classes with Killian. He was Junior, and I learned the only reason we had the first class together was that he missed too many days the year before and had to redo the class. I did learn that Ashley and I would have PE with him after lunch. James ended up being in all of our classes as well. He seemed cool. He was quiet and didn't ask a lot of questions. Ashley was nice, but she was very talkative. The crazy thing was that she didn't annoy me.

When it was time for lunch, Ashley, James, and I headed to the cafeteria. "Here, Ashley, I brought you these," James said as he handed her a container. She opened it and cheered. I looked at it to see chocolate chip cookies inside

"Oh, thank you. I love these cookies. They are the best," Ashley said. I didn't miss how James smiled at Ashley. It was obvious he liked her. Not the way he should like his brother's girlfriend, or fuck buddy, or whatever she was to him.

We went to the line to get our food. While in line, I saw Killian sitting at a table. There was a girl sitting close to him, giggling. She was flirting with him, and he didn't seem to mind.

"I can't stand her," Ashley said, annoyed. I looked over there again to see him touching her cheek. I looked at Ashley to see if she looked hurt. I wanted to ask her why she put up with that, but I didn't want to overstep. She was already upset.

We got our food and headed to the table where he was sitting with the girl.

"Eliana." I looked up to see Lilian standing there. I was honestly shocked she was speaking to me. Especially, after what happened the day before.

"Hey, Lilian," I replied

"Can we talk?" She asked

"Sure," I replied
