Chapter 23 Twenty three

Zane's POV

I watched the anger in her eyes.

The furry and the annoyance building inside her.

That was a true alpha heat.

She was fucking beautiful as always and I fucking missed her scent.

Sweet villa and a hint of garden smell.

" Unfortunately, I'm not here to ask for reasons, Alpha." My beast flickered in my eyes.

As much as I enjoyed her fierce personality, I fucking hated it when she calls me by my title.

That mouth of hers. I wanted to put them into good use but who was I kidding?

" Unfortunately, I don't plan on removing my warriors from your ack so learn to trust them." I whispered, leaning towards her face.

I shut my eyes and let my nose inhale her scent like a made beast.

" I don't trust anyone." He stated and I let out a chuckle.

" You can trust me." I said in a small calm tone.

Her eyes stared at me like I was some mad creature.

Yes I was fucking mad because of her.

The mate hound has never been fair or light with anyone.

I was only gone for days and I came back to hear how my mate has been attacked by both insiders and outsiders.

I could have lost her but I wasn't going to let that happen especially now.

She wasn't safe in her pack.

Her warriors could easily turn on her because she was a female.

They could manipulate the pack members into their favor and that would be bad for her.

" You are the last person I will ever trust, Zane Bluemede." She turned towards the door.

Sternly didn't move away from the door, she looked back at me as if telling me to get my dog put of her way and that made me chuckle.

She really has guts and I fucking love it.

" Get out of my way." She demanded and Sternly immediately moved.

My eyes narrowed at how she handled it.

Wow!

She didn't throw a tantrum like most females.

She let her wolf handle.

" I'm sorry, Alpha " Sternly apologized with his gaze buried on the floor.

" I'm impressed, Sternly." I whispered and he looked up at me as if he knew I would behave like this.

" She is my mate." I added and Sternly nodded.

" What is going on in the kingdom?" I asked, unfortunately interested in my grandfather's plans and dealings.

I have been on high alert ever since I heard him mention a silver wolf.

" He usual meets with Azu."

Azu was the grand witch, the healer and the eyes of the moon goddess.

They were definitely up to something and I hope it didn't have anything to do with Calista because if it did I would fucking end him before the moon goddess ever things of ending him.

" Any idea what they talked about?" I asked, curious.

" No, Alpha." I nodded in annoyance but I could direct my anger towards my beta.

I hate it when things weren't in my reach and that was exactly what was happening.

" Why would he suddenly make a silver wolf a topic of discussion?"

What was he after?

Before Sternly could say anything a loud growl echoed through the building.

I walked out with the Sternly behind me only to be greeted with the most beautiful sight of all.

Calista was standing in the middle of my warriors, a few were in the floor while those on their feet bowed their heads in submission.

My eyes flashed in amusement.

What the fuck did they do to her?

I stood at the entrance of tbe mention with both my hands in my pocket.

My eyes stared at her small figure as she managed to put my warriors under her control.

" Alpha Calista is hurt." Sternly says and my eyes drifted down to her waist where her dress had been slashed opened, blood stains and her wound slowly closing.

My list curled into a small smile at I watched the wouldn't closed up leaving only an OEM dress and blood stain.

" She will be okay." I whispered.

She suddenly turned her head, her burning gaze settled on me and I titled my head to the side.

In a speed of light she grabbed my collar and growled at my face.

" Stay away from me " She warned as if that would even happened.

" And my pack." She finished a d suddenly started to rain.

She stormed through the heavy rain I yo her cat, her silver hair slowly fading out of my sight.

My beast growled and I redirected my gaze to my warriors who were currently shaking under my gaze.

I stepped further out.

The cold rain hitting my hot skin.

" Who hurt her!" I growled, looking amount the seven warriors who dared pointed their fucking claws at my mate.

I notice one with his claws stairs with blood.

I didn't need to smell it to know who's blood it was.

He has her silver blood on him.

I looked at his terrified face as I walked towards him, grabbed him by the neck and shoved him onto the cold floor, ruthlessly.

" You hurt my mate in my fucking pack." I growled and grabbed him by his throat.

I looked into his eyes while I crushed every bone in his neck until his flesh couldn't hold him alive before letting.g him off.

I strode into my car and drove out of tbe mansion, right after her.

The rain was growing heavy at every second and my beast was turning restless each padding minutes.

I followed the oath I knew very well until I spotted her car on the road.

I followed behind her.

I entered the crystal pack territory after her and waited in front of the mansion.

In the mansion, my men were there so I knew she would be safe at least until I figure out what my grandfather want with her.

I still couldn't think of anything else aside her silver wolf blood that could not only cure sickness and heal injuries but also make a wolf stronger and powerful in every sense.
