Chapter 26 Twenty six

Calista's POV

" What are you talking about?" I asked in shock.

Did he hit his head or something?

Asking me such a question was not only dumb of him but also stupid if him.

Did he just called himself my fated mate?

I examined his expression and he seemed to be enjoying whatever thing this was.

" I don't share and will never share my mate with anyone." I said in a stern tone and the Conner of his lips curled into a smile.

Too thin to be called a smile and too beautiful to be called a scoff.

" What else do you want to know?" I asked, hanging my hand above my waist as I watched his expression with nothing but annoyance.

" If you are done, I will like to return to what I was doing?" I stayed but he didn't move.

" I will stay got a while." He said, shocking me.

I parted my lips to say something but shut it as he sat in the couch at tbr corner.

I couldn't believe I was dealing with this ruthless alpha among everyone else.

" Beautiful."

I looked up as he heard him say something and just as expected he was looking back at me like I was a puzzle he was trying to solve.

" You are beautiful,Calista." He said with a serious expression.

My brow raised slight as I looked back at him.

He didn't just call me beautiful.

Isla howl in head but I shut her up before she passed her excitement to me.

" You are beautiful and I want to have you again." He was standing before my desk with his acqua blue eyes looking deep into my soul.

He was beautiful as his ruthlessness.

" I will pretend I didn't hear that." I swallowed and shook off my stupid thoughts.

" You don't need to pretend." He said, softly. His voice deliberately.

He leaned towards me and and whispered.

My body immediately reacted to his sweetness and I stood up in annoyance.

" What do you want, Zane?" I couldn't condone this anymore.

He didn't want me and I have managed to pull through the pain of his rejection and here he was trying to play games with me.

" I already have what I want." He gave the same reply as before.

I tried to walk out of the office but he grabbed my hand and yanked me into himself.

His warm body collided with mine. His strong hand rested at the back of my waist.

" You smell fucking beauy." He dropped his face at the crock of my neck and deeply inhaled my scent.

I stiffened in his hold, my body reacting to his touch.

The sparks travelled down every vein in my body. And the butterflies flooded my belly as his scent flashed down inside me without permission.

My eyes shut instinctively.

' Mate.' Isla growled in my head and my eyes snapped opened.

I tried to pull away but he held me close." Don't." He growled and I froze.

Zane's POV

My beast growled when she was about to pull away.

For some reasons her body stiffened in my arm and I continued smalling her.

" Mate." I said it out out and she pulled away from me.

Just then a knock came on the door and immediately smelled Sternly.

With one last look at her I walked out into the car.

I hated the I terription but I k ew Sternly had a good reason.

" I'm listening." I said as the car pulled out of the mansion and onto the road.

Sternly told me everything he has discovered but that still didn't answer my question.

After getting back I to the back I didn't wast time in calling alpha Thomas.

I told him Calista's reply and the line went dead in an indtant.

His next words wasn't important tor so I shoved the phone somewhere and to continue smoking my cigarette.

My gaze stayed out through the window. My face voice of emotion.

The following days I didn't go to see Calista but I knew she was okay.

Alpha Thomas tried to talk to me but I always turned down hus meeting.

It continued until his daughter,my ex fiance showed up in my pack demanding wny I cancelled our engagement.

I didn't say much.

I only yf her tbr truth.

Tbe same truth she didn't want to hear. The same truth I wasn't going to hide from her or anyone who asked.

She wasn't as much surprise as I thought she would be but she was. At least a little, my like I cared.

Sternly still hadn't found out about my grandfather's plans.

The silver wolf I heard him mention.

Now that I have cancelled the engagement I have another matter to handle and that was what I was going to handle.

After a few hours on the road I arrived in the east.

The wild pack.

Cletus didn't seem pleased to see me but I didn't fucking care about whatever he thought or think.

I dropped my hands in my pocket adyer getting off the car.

Cletus stood with his beta behind him ." What do I own this visit?" I didn't reply immediately but I did eventually.

" Stay away from her." I said sternly and clearly.

" Who are talking about?" He asked and with a serd of lightening I was right under his eyes.

" Calista is mine." I told him and he chuckled.

" Are we I tested in the same female?" He has an amusing smile on.

" Finally, got the first time we have something in common." He stepped back with a step.

" I didn't know she is this interesting. Interesting enough to grab your attention." He smiled sheepishly.

I didn't wany anything more than to just punch him in the face.

" Interesting? " I whispered and turned to look at Sternly who immediately nodded.

He opened the car and brought out the gift I had brought for him.

His face paled tbr moment he saw what was I side my trunk.
