Logan's soldiers approached him, their faces grim and worried. " Alpha, we have news, " one of them said, his voice low and serious. " We lost her. "
Logan's eyes narrowed, his jaw clenched in frustration. " What do you mean you lost her? " he growled, his voice menacing.
The soldier swallowed hard, his eyes darting around the room. " We were tracking her, Alpha, but she vanished into thin air. We searched the entire forest, but there was no sign of her. "
Logan's face turned red with anger, his fists clenched at his sides. " Find her, " he snarled, his voice barely controlled. " I want her found before we leave for the palace. "
The soldier nodded, his face pale. " Yes, Alpha. We'll find her. "
Logan turned away, his mind racing with thoughts of the mysterious woman in the trees. Who was she? And why was she hiding from him?
As he paced back and forth in his chambers, his thoughts were interrupted by a knock at the door. " Enter, " he growled, his voice still rough with anger.
One of his soldiers entered, his face solemn. " Alpha, it's time to leave for the palace. The king awaits. "
Logan nodded, his mind still on the woman in the trees. But he knew he had to put that aside for now. He had a duty to his pack and to the king.
" Let's go, " he said, his voice firm. " We have a long ride ahead of us. "
As they rode towards the palace, Logan's mind raced with thoughts of the woman and the king.
The ride was long and arduous, but finally, they arrived at the palace gates. Logan dismounted his horse, his eyes fixed on the grand entrance.
" Let's get this over with, " he muttered to his soldiers, his voice low and menacing.
As they entered the palace, Logan's eyes scanned the room, searching for any sign of the mysterious woman. But she was nowhere to be found, there was many people there, More alphas that he could smell, laughing and having drinks, lots of ladies that were seeking attention.
Instead, he saw the king, sitting on his throne, a smile on his face. " Ah, Logan, " he said, his voice warm and welcoming. " It's good to see you. I trust you had a pleasant journey. "
Logan nodded, his eyes still scanning the room. " Yes, Your Majesty, I did. "
The king nodded, his eyes gleaming with amusement. " Good. I have a surprise for you. A special guest, one who will change your life forever. "
Logan's eyes narrowed, his mind racing with thoughts of the mysterious woman. Could it be her?
As the night progressed, the palace ballroom buzzed with laughter and music. The crowd resembled a sea of colorful dresses and suits, Logan standing out like a beacon of masculinity among them. Clad in a tailored black suit that accentuated his broad shoulders and chiseled chest, his muscles rippled beneath the fabric as he moved. His tattoos, a testament to his strength and power, peeked out from beneath his sleeves and collar, drawing the eye of every woman in the room. His piercing yellow eyes sparkled like gold in the light, and his features seemed to be carved from granite, his dark hair slicked back to reveal a prominent forehead and sharp jawline. He was a vision of male perfection, irresistibly drawing the attention of the women in the room like moths to a flame.
As he navigated through the crowd, alphas from other packs approached him, attempting to forge alliances and curry favor. But Logan was no fool, he knew exactly what they were after. With a smile and a nod, his eyes never leaving theirs, he expertly deflected their attempts at flattery.
Meanwhile, the king sat on his throne, already deep in his cups. His wife, the queen, attempted to keep him upright, but he resisted, slurring his words and laughing nonsensically as he gestured wildly with his hands. Logan's eyes rolled in amusement as he watched the spectacle. Having witnessed the king in this state before, he knew it was only a matter of time before he passed out. He made a mental note to keep an eye on the queen, in case she needed assistance, the music grew louder and the dancing more frenzied. Logan found himself surrounded by a throng of admirers, all vying for his attention.
Le-Finya swept into the ballroom, her red dress shimmering like a fiery ember. Her white hair was pulled back into a tight bun, revealing her age-lined face, her white hair was a indicator that she was a mage, she made it a little darker to fool the people. Despite her advanced years, her eyes sparkled with a knowing glint. Logan's eyes locked onto her, and he strode across the room, his long legs eating up the distance. He grasped her arm, his grip firm but gentle, and led her to a quiet corner.
" Why were you staring at me in the trees? " he demanded, his voice low and urgent. Le-Finya smiled, her eyes glinting with amusement. " Oh, Alpha Logan, " she said, her voice husky. " You're so eager to know secrets. "
" I need to know, " he pressed, his eyes burning with intensity. Le-Finya chuckled, her eyes never leaving his. " Look at the door, Logan, " she said, her voice mysterious.
Logan's gaze flicked to the entrance, and his heart stopped. Scotty stood in the doorway. Her black gown was a masterpiece of design that was made, hugging her curves in all the right places. The fabric was sleek and shimmering, reminiscent of the night sky filled with stars. Strapless, it showcased her smooth shoulders and delicate neck, bestowing upon her the grace of a swan.
Tight around her bust, the dress accentuated her full breasts before cinching at the waist, highlighting her hourglass figure. The skirt fell in soft folds to the floor, resembling a dark waterfall, split on one side to offer a tantalizing glimpse of her slender leg.
Her raven hair cascaded down her back like a waterfall of night, with a few stray strands framing her face. So black it seemed to absorb the light around her, her hair made her skin appear even paler by contrast. ( her hair was colored, to hide her true self )
Smooth and unblemished, her skin resembled porcelain, with a subtle sheen that hinted at her magic. Her eyes, like diamonds, sparkled with a light that seemed almost otherworldly. Deep and piercing blue, they resembled the night sky on a clear summer evening. Her full lips, painted red like a rose in full bloom, curved into a shy smile, evoking the image of a goddess. Her nose, small and slightly upturned, lent her a playful look, even in moments of seriousness. Long and thick, her eyelashes resembled a fan of black silk, while her eyebrows were shaped like a crescent moon, adding to her ethereal beauty. She was a vision of loveliness, a true beauty, and Logan couldn't tear his eyes away from her., and her full lips curved into a shy smile. Logan's grip on Le-Finya's arm tightened. " Who is she? " he growled, his voice barely controlled.
Le-Finya's smile grew wider. "Ah, Logan. You'll find out soon enough." And with that, she slipped from his grasp and disappeared into the crowd, leaving Logan to stare at Scotty in wonder.
As Scotty stood there, a group of men approached her, attempting to catch her eye. However, before they could even reach her, Logan growled low in his throat, his eyes flashing a warning.
" Back off, " he said, his voice firm yet controlled. " She's not interested. "
The men hesitated, then backed away, their eyes fixed on Logan with a mixture of fear and respect. Turning to Scotty, Logan's demeanor softened.
" You're new around here, aren't you? " he asked, his voice gentle.
Scotty raised an eyebrow, her eyes sparkling with amusement. " What makes you think that? " she asked, her voice playful.
Logan smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. " I've never seen you before, " he said simply. " And I would have remembered if I had. "
Scotty chuckled, her eyes dancing with mirth. " Well, I'm Scotty, " she said, her voice husky. " And I'm not afraid of you, like those men where. "
Logan's eyes narrowed, his face intrigued. " Most people are afraid of me, " he remarked, his voice low. " What makes you different? "
Scotty shrugged, her shoulders bare and smooth. " I'm not most people, " she stated confidently. " And I don't take crap from anyone, specially when they try and make small talks with me like you are doing now "
Logan laughed, his eyes gleaming with approval. " I like that, " he said warmly. " But what brings you to our neck of the woods? " he could not stop starring at her neck line, as she spoke it moved, he so badly wanted to sink his teeth into her.
Scotty smiled, her eyes glinting with mischief. " Let's just say I'm looking for something, " she said mysteriously. " And I won't stop until I find it. "
Logan's eyes narrowed, his face intense. " What are you looking for? " he asked firmly.
Scotty leaned in, her voice barely above a whisper. " That's for me to know and you not to find out, " she replied challengingly, her eyes sparkling.
Logan growled, his eyes flashing with frustration, but Scotty simply laughed, her eyes dancing with amusement. She turned and walked away, leaving Logan staring after her, his face a mixture of confusion and admiration.
Logan's eyes followed Scotty as she walked away, his mind swirling with thoughts of her. He couldn't shake the feeling that she was concealing something, that there was a hidden aspect to her identity. Then, like a bolt of lightning, it struck him—a primal, instinctual sense he had never encountered before.
" MATE! " he roared, his voice reverberating through the ballroom.
Scotty froze in her tracks, her eyes widening with surprise, as Logan strode purposefully toward her, his gaze blazing with intensity.
" You're my mate, " he growled, his voice resonating with possessiveness. " I can feel it. You're withholding something from me, Scotty. But it doesn't matter. You belong to me now. "
Defiance flickered in Scotty's eyes, but fear lurked behind them. She understood what Logan was, what he was capable of. And she knew she stood no chance against him.
" I... I don't understand, " she stammered, her voice trembling.
Logan chuckled, amusement gleaming in his eyes. " Don't deceive me, Scotty, " he asserted, his tone unwavering. " I can sense it. You're my mate. And I'll do whatever it takes to protect you, to claim you. "
Realization dawned on Scotty as Logan's words sank in he held her hand, her eyes widened in alarm as Logan's grip on her hand tightened. She didn't understand what being a "mate" entailed, but she knew she didn't want to be one. Desperately, she attempted to pull away, but Logan's hold was unyielding.
With a surge of adrenaline, Scotty vanished into thin air, leaving Logan stunned and furious. In the blink of an eye, Le-Finya materialized beside her, seizing Scotty's hand, and together they fled, their footsteps echoing through the palace halls.
Logan roared with anger, his soldiers giving chase. Yet, Scotty and Le-Finya proved too swift, navigating the palace corridors with agility until they reached the safety of the outside world.
In a field, Logan and his soldiers were left panting and frustrated. " Find her! " he bellowed, his eyes blazing with fury. " Search every inch of this land until she's back in my grasp! "
The guards scattered, but Scotty had vanished beyond their reach. Le-Finya had ensured their escape, using her magic to obscure their tracks and erase any trace of their passage.
Meanwhile, within the palace, the king was alerted to the turmoil. His countenance stern, he ordered a lockdown, sealing every exit. However, they had already slipped through their grasp.
Logan seethed with rage as he realized his mate had slipped through his fingers. Why would she run? she must have know how cruel of a man he was, even the king was delighted when he found out that Logan had found his mate, and would make sure she will be found. The king and Alpha Logan Go a long way back, they are good friends, and they have a understanding.
At the Cottage, the first thing Scotty done was to reveal her true self an fall on the bed laughing w
