Chapter 2 Chapter 2) Cry for vengeance/ Mate pull.

Her eyes swung open, but what came next was a sharp pain in her abdomen, and a heavy gasp for air. She was breathing fast, as if she was running out of oxygen.

‘Am- am I still alive?’. This was the thought that ran through her mind.

She tried to sit up, but it felt like hell to her. Her stomach was still injured, even though the bleeding had strangely stopped.

But after a struggle, she sat up and stared around the familiar forest, which was only some kilometers away from Joaken pack.

“He threw me away? Did he think I was dead?”. She muttered.

The pain was eating her up like a locust.

She wanted to return right at this moment and confront him, but her condition did not let her.

Most especially, as someone who wanted revenge for being wronged and betrayed ruthlessly, she did not want him to appear and see that she was still alive.

She was afraid that he might try to finish the job and make her disappear from the world if he saw her right now.

Her eyes were bloodshot as she rose to her feet and ignored the ripping pain in her abdomen.

The human city was the closest city to the Joaken pack, so she dragged her feet.

Step by step, she made her way there, ignoring the danger that awaited her over there, as she didn't have any other choice.

Humans were sworn enemies to werewolves and could kill them once they spotted one.

The same thing applied to the werewolves.

Any human who intruded on their pack might be killed by them when spotted.

After many agonizing minutes of walking and enduring the pain, she arrived at the human city. Paradise City.

A city which was so lovely and filled with humans, even at night.

Not wanting to attract unnecessary attention to herself, and because she desperately needed a place to rest, since she feared that she might collapse, she blended in with the shadows and walked through dangerous alleys, just to avoid the humans’ eyes.

Until she saw a place she could rest.

It looked like an abandoned building, so without thinking, she went there to stay, hoping that she would get a little better in the morning and find the strength to leave Paradise City and go to another werewolf pack, where she could stay and focus herself on getting better, until she became strong enough to make him pay.

{Back to the present}

Demira tried to force herself to go to sleep, but every single time she shut her eyes, beads of sweat formed on her forehead and slid down her temples, and all she could see was a scene of him stabbing her over and over again, with an unremorseful look on his face, especially in his eyes, like he was disgusted with her very existence.

What was worse was that she had lost a lot of blood and was feeling dizzy.

She was afraid that if she did not go to a hospital, she might die, because even though she was no longer bleeding, her injury had not been treated.

But then again, because of her identity as a werewolf, she was afraid that if she went to a hospital, rather than being treated by the doctors, they might kill her because of who she was.

“I- I can't die here. It's unfair”. She choked on her saliva as she said and curled her body on the floor.

Her eyes were red. “M- Moon goddess, why did you allow this to happen to me? I never mistreated him. I always stood by his side. I had always sacrificed my best things and gave them to him”.

“I had always saved him whenever he was about to die or get hurt in whatever missions the previous Alpha sent us to do. I- I never did anything wrong to him, but he betrayed me for her”.

“If you are real, you must avenge me, or you must allow me to avenge myself”. She pleaded.

Almost all her life, she never believed that the moon goddess existed, because if she existed, why did she allow the previous Alpha of Joaken pack to commit all those atrocities? Why did she allow her to be an orphan from the start?

She did nothing wrong to deserve any of that.

Just when she thought that all hope had been lost, because she might not survive if she waited there till morning, something unexpected happened.

She felt a very strong pull which she had never felt before in her life, causing her to open her eyes.

‘Go. Your request has been granted’.

She heard a voice say to her inside her head, but she was too weak to react, and felt dead inside to be shocked.

Maybe she was not surprised because she thought that the voice belonged to her wolf. Actually, she wasn't in her right mind.

Her instinct told her to hurry up outside, and that was what she did.

She desperately dragged herself and crawled toward the door, and the second after she opened the door and attempted to crawl down the small stairs, she lost consciousness and collapsed.

With a rhyming thud, her body rolled down the small stairs and blocked the path of a figure dressed in black and had red eyes, which glowered dangerously in the night like a hot volcano.

He halted and stared at the pale looking lady in front of him.

“A different person? What a joke”. He frowned and turned around, about to leave, but the sharp pain in his chest said otherwise.
