Autumn Bamboo Shoots · Ongoing · 58.8k Words
Introduction
His enemies laugh at him for being insane. His wife's family calls him a fool. Even his father-in-law is just waiting for him to be carried out in a coffin.
But on the wedding night, Caesar watches the ancient secret arts dancing at his fingertips, and a cold smile curls on his lips.
No one knows that he accepted this "doomed marriage" only to borrow the power of a top-tier family, so he can personally slaughter the ancient beast that killed his parents years ago.
Even fewer know that the bloodstained jade pendant in his pocket has already been engraved with the names of every single member of his enemy's family.
The night of the bridal chamber is the first night of a bloodbath against the Nine-Star Clan.
Chapter 1
"Please stay, Commander!!"
Western Pacific Ocean, above the raging waves, a steel-beast-like aircraft carrier fleet cut through the waves.
On the deck, dozens of generals in deep blue military uniforms knelt on one knee in unison, their armor colliding with the deck in dull thuds. Their shoulder insignias all bore five golden stars—the symbol of the Republic of Arcadia's highest military honor, Five-Star Generals.
And in the direction they were kneeling, a young man stood with his hands clasped behind his back.
The sea wind howled, whipping the black marshal's coat draped over his shoulders, its hem rolling like a battle flag.
He was tall and lean, his face stern, with a weariness and authority in his features that didn't belong to someone his age. His deep eyes gazed toward where sea met sky, as if able to see through storms thousands of miles away.
Caesar Julius.
Controller of the Holy Fleet, Arcadia's youngest "Imperial Marshal" in history.
Ten years ago, he was just a castaway exiled by his family, sent overseas to atone for his sins. No one knew how he had transformed Arcadia, this mysterious overseas force, into a global nightmare in just ten years.
Vice Commander Unai Nunez's eyes reddened, his voice trembling: "Marshal, are you really leaving? The Holy Fleet cannot exist without you!"
Caesar slowly turned around, his gaze sweeping over each familiar face.
"Everyone, stand up."
No one dared move.
Caesar narrowed his eyes slightly, a faint smile tugging at his lips: "What, my words don't count anymore?"
"Marshal!" Unai kowtowed heavily.
Caesar bent down to help him up, patting his shoulder.
"My ten-year term is up. I have a personal matter I must attend to." Caesar looked at his staff officer. "In my absence, the Holy Fleet remains the Empire's blade. Your primary mission is to protect our homeland. Understood?"
The staff officer stood at attention. Unai stood at attention. Everyone stood at attention.
Saluting with the highest military honor.
"Understood!"
He sat alone in the stealth carrier aircraft's cabin, closing his eyes. His mind drifted back to that day ten years ago when he had offended a powerful enemy, and his parents could only exile him overseas to the most brutal military force for training.
But this escape brought no safety.
Soon after, his parents died in an "accident."
Rumors circulated that someone had seen the Julius family patriarch's car parked at the enemy's mansion that night, personally delivering his parents' heads.
He remembered how, before leaving, his parents had pressed an ancient coin into his palm and whispered in his ear: "Caesar, never come back, never seek revenge. That person... has a black star on their left shoulder. You can't afford to cross them."
In the cabin, Caesar opened his eyes and whispered softly.
"Mom, Dad, I've come back to see you!"
...
The Republic of Arcadia
In Silverlight City, the Julius family was holding an emergency family meeting.
The current family head, Khalil Julius, looked deeply troubled: "Tomorrow, if we don't select someone, the Julius family will cease to exist in Silverlight City."
"When Augustus made that marriage arrangement with the Adams family years ago, the Adams family's daughter was only three years old. Now the Adams family is demanding we honor the agreement—but who could have known it would be a death sentence?"
"How about sending Phillip?" one brother suggested.
Phillip was Khalil's eldest son, the right age.
"Absolutely not. Phillip's career is taking off, he's pursuing the Rockefeller family's daughter and about to succeed. How can we ruin his bright future at this critical moment?" Khalil's wife jumped out in opposition.
Khalil said gravely: "Right, whether the Julius family can return to mid-tier status depends on Phillip."
"My child is only fifteen, too young to go!"
"Right, and me, I have a daughter."
"My son is already married. If the Adams family's daughter is willing to be a mistress, that's fine."
"Haha."
"Ha, do you dare ask?" Khalil sneered at his brother.
The man shut up awkwardly.
The Republic of Arcadia's flag represented the country's foundation.
Forty-eight stars covered the entire flag.
The nine in the front row shone brightest.
These were the Republic of Arcadia's top nine families.
The Adams family was one of the nine stars, a top-tier family.
Crushing a small family like the Julius was like crushing an ant.
Facing pressure from the Adams family, their refusal would be digging their own grave.
But this demand was too outrageous.
Living at Adams Manor after marriage was one thing, but the bride was a vegetative patient!
The Adams family's Viya Adams had become a vegetative patient after an accident last year. Somehow they found a Mayan shaman who said that through a substitution spell, if Viya's husband became the vegetative patient, Viya would slowly awaken.
Who would dare become her husband now?
So even though Viya was rumored to be a stunning beauty, no one dared be tempted.
Wealth and glory were minor concerns.
Having the life to enjoy them was what mattered.
But the Adams family was powerful. If they didn't deliver someone by tomorrow, Viya's father threatened to make the Silverlight City Julius family extinct!
"It's all Augustus's fault for making that marriage arrangement with the Adams family. He's dead, but still dragging us down. Now the Adams family demands we help him fulfill the agreement. What are we going to do?"
Everyone cursed and complained.
Just as everyone was worrying about this matter, the butler walked in.
"Sir, Mr. Caesar Julius has returned."
"Caesar?"
"What Caesar?"
The butler explained: "Augustus's son, the one exiled overseas to atone for his sins ten years ago."
Everyone finally remembered who he was.
"So it's Augustus's son. That kid's still alive?!"
"Augustus thought exiling him overseas would keep him safe, had no idea who he'd offended. Not only is he alive, he's come back. Does he want to harm the Julius family again?"
The family was filled with disgust.
"Tell him to get lost. If not for him, the Julius family wouldn't have fallen this far." Khalil gritted his teeth: "He dares come back!"
"Wait, honey, wasn't Caesar the original party to the Adams family arrangement?" Khalil's wife reminded him.
Everyone's eyes lit up.
"Right, by the rules, he's still part of the Julius family."
"Exactly, someone like him should repay his debt with his life!"
Everyone agreed unanimously.
"Use my life to repay a debt?"
An icy voice suddenly echoed through the conference room.
Everyone froze simultaneously.
The conference room door was pushed open.
A young man stood with his hands clasped behind his back, his black coat billowing. His gaze swept slowly from left to right across every face present.
Khalil instinctively stood up: "You—"
Caesar didn't look at him.
He lowered his head to glance at the ancient coin in his palm, then raised his head, a slight smile curving his lips.
The smile was faint, yet it made the temperature in the entire conference room plummet to freezing.
"Are you talking about yourselves?"

Why does being near him make my skin feel too tight, like I’m wearing a sweater two sizes too small?
It’s just newness, I tell myself firmly.

This is Tyler’s family.
I’m not going to let one cold stare undo that.
**

**
I hate girls like her.
Entitled.
Delicate.
And still—
Still.
The image of her standing in the doorway, clutching her cardigan tighter around her narrow shoulders, trying to smile through the awkwardness, won’t leave me.
Neither does the memory of Tyler. Leaving her here without a second thought.
I shouldn’t care.
I don’t care.
It’s not my problem if Tyler’s an idiot.
It’s not my business if some spoiled little princess has to walk home in the dark.
I’m not here to rescue anyone.
Especially not her.
Especially not someone like her.
She’s not my problem.
And I’ll make damn sure she never becomes one.
But when my eyes fell on her lips, I wanted her to be mine.
How Not To Fall For A Dragon
Which is why it was more than a little confusing when a letter arrived with my name already printed on a schedule, a dorm waiting, and classes picked out as if someone knew me better than I knew myself. Everyone knows the Academy, it’s where witches sharpen their spells, shifters master their forms, and every kind of magical creature learns to control their gifts.
Everyone except me.
I don’t even know what I am. No shifting, no magic tricks, nothing. Just a girl surrounded by people who can fly, conjure fire, or heal with a touch. So I sit through classes pretending I belong, and I listen hard for any clue that might tell me what’s hidden in my blood.
The only person more curious than me is Blake Nyvas, tall, golden-eyed, and very much a Dragon. People whisper that he’s dangerous, warn me to keep my distance. But Blake seems determined to solve the mystery of me, and somehow I trust him more than anyone else.
Maybe it’s reckless. Maybe it’s dangerous.
But when everyone else looks at me like I don’t belong, Blake looks at me like I’m a riddle worth solving.
Alpha Nicholas's Little Mate
What? No—wait… oh Moon Goddess, no.
Please tell me you're joking, Lex.
But she's not. I can feel her excitement bubbling under my skin, while all I feel is dread.
We turn the corner, and the scent hits me like a punch to the chest—cinnamon and something impossibly warm. My eyes scan the room until they land on him. Tall. Commanding. Beautiful.
And then, just as quickly… he sees me.
His expression twists.
"Fuck no."
He turns—and runs.
My mate sees me and runs.

Can they both work on letting go of the past and moving forward together or will fate have different plans and keep them apart?
Goddess Of The Underworld

Peace lasts exactly one lullaby. This is the story of an orphan pup who became a goddess by choosing her family; of four imperfect alphas learning how to be better. Steamy, fierce, and full of heart, Goddess of the Underworld is a reverse harem, found-family paranormal romance where love writes the rules and keeps three realms from falling apart.
Falling For The Biker: The Vice President's Girl
His eyes darken, flicking to my mouth.
"It's wrong. Your brother would slit my throat for just standing this close. But tell me, little bird" his breath ghosts my skin, "are you trembling because you hate me… or because you've wanted this just as much as I have?"
Wren thought she'd buried the chaos of New Orleans for good—the clubs, the blood-soaked loyalties, the men who lived and died by their kuttes. Seattle gave her everything she ever wanted: freedom, love, a future.
But one betrayal shatters it all.
Dragged home by tragedy, Wren finds herself under the watchful eye of Ezra Jax—the Raven Reapers MC's vice president and her brother's best friend. He's infuriating, dangerous, and far too tempting for a man she should never touch.
And the deeper Wren is pulled back into his world, the more she realizes nothing about her past—or about Ezra—is what she believed.
In the chaos of gang wars, mounting debts, and old betrayals, he becomes the one constant. The more she fights him, the harder she falls. And the more he pushes her away, the more lethal his pull becomes.
Because in this world, love isn't sweet.
It's brutal. Bloody.
And it's bound to break them both.
When loyalty is everything and love can cost your life, will Wren risk her heart on the one man she was never meant to love?
The mafia princess return
The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."
New to the world of shifters, Draven is human on the run. A beautiful girl who no one could protect. Domonic is the cold Alpha of the Red Wolf Pack. A brotherhood of twelve wolves that live by twelve rules. Rules which they vowed could NEVER be broken.

But she doesn’t know about the child she’s carrying or that the moment she left, Domonic decided rules were made to be broken - and now will he ever find her again? Will she forgive him?
Let Them Kneel
Cast out by her pack. Forgotten by the Lycans.
She lived among humans—quiet, invisible, tucked away in a town no one looked at twice.
But when her first heat comes without warning, everything changes.
Her body ignites. Her instincts scream. And something primal stirs beneath her skin—
summoning a big, bad Alpha who knows exactly how to quench her fire.
When he claims her, it’s ecstasy and ruin.
For the first time, she believes she’s been accepted.
Seen.
Chosen.
Until he leaves her the next morning—
like a secret never to be spoken.
But Kaelani is not what they thought.
Not wolfless. Not weak.
There is something ancient inside her. Something powerful. And it’s waking.
And when it does—
they’ll all remember the girl they tried to erase.
Especially him.
She’ll be the dream he keeps chasing… the one thing that ever made him feel alive.
Because secrets never stay buried.
And neither do dreams.
The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.
