Chapter 1 Prolog: The Bet

“Here’s her picture and all the information you need to make her fall for you.” David Nelson handed Henry Hamilton the photos.

“Wow, she’s hot and sexy! But you didn’t tell me what you want me to do exactly?” Henry was curious, his best friend David called him and asked him a favour urgently.

“I want you to… Ruin her completely.”David said with hatred filling every word coming out of his mouth.

Henry asked, confused, “But why and who is she?”

Henry continued asking, “What do you need exactly?”

“I want you to take her virginity and make her fall in love with you, then break her heart and ….” David was painfully heartbroken, but he couldn’t forget how she humiliated him 3 days ago at her birthday party.

Flashback 3 days ago

“Wow! Elissa, you look so pretty in that dress! You look like a real princess! Can you give me your first dance tonight?” David Nelson was so head over heels for his cousin Elissa. The way he adored her for the recent years, watching her grow up until she became one of the hottest girls in their social circle, until he finally was able to stand up in front of her and confess his love!

“David. Sure, you are my cousin for sure. I am giving you the first dance.” Elissa smiled gorgeously and innocently.

David pulled his courage to take her smooth hands in his, and suddenly he bent on one of his knees. She stood there, confused. “David? What are you doing?”

He gulped nervously, took a diamond ring from his pocket, and said in front of everyone at the birthday party, “Finally, you're turning 18 tonight. Do you know how many months I have waited for this night? Elissa, I know I am your distant cousin, but we have grown up together, and I have been looking after you even in high school. I have been watching you day and night until I realised I couldn’t live without you…” David took a breath away.

Elissa blinked, trying to pull her hand away, “David! What are you saying?”

David smiled sweetly, inhaling and exhaling, then he decided to finish his confession, “I love you, Elissa. I want you to be with me forever. I want you to be my wife. I promise I will pamper you and…”

She cut off his words immediately, looking around her in rage, and pulled her hand all of a sudden, “David! I never had any feelings for you! Is this kind of my birthday prank?! because if so, it’s not funny at all.”

Feeling shocked from her reaction, he stood up, looking into her eyes, “Elissa, it’s not a prank. I really want to marry you.”

She crossed her arms around her chest and then pushed his ring away, making it fall on the marble floor, and there was silence from her relatives and friends around them.

She then said coldly, “I am so young! I just finished high school. I am about to go to college. Why do you think I would ruin my life early and get married? And besides, I always saw you as an elder cousin. I will never be….”

She emphasized looking deeply into his eyes while stepping forward, “I will never be with you. Ever.”

Back to the present.

David remembered the humiliation over and over, and he said to his best friend, Playboy Henry, “I have thought about it. She’s my dear pampered cousin. The only heiress to her family. Loved by everyone, but she never cared about anyone. She humiliated me 3 days ago at her party. Now it’s her time to pay the price. Are you in or not?”

Henry Hamilton smiled, looking at her pictures again and then batting David’s shoulder, “We are friends for life. Of course, I am in. Besides, she's a hottie. Why wouldn't I have fun with her? Sure, I am in.”

As Playboy, Henry never thought that playing with Elissa meant playing with fire and that the hunter would be the prey.

“Give me her cellphone number, her college location, schedule, and also her house location. Everything about her,” Henry asked David, who had already prepared everything.

“Here it is, I will send you the file to your cellphone. Can you make it a public humiliation after 3 months?” David was so eager not to just break her, but he had high hopes that when Henry breaks her heart, he could comfort her, and she might choose him. He was crazy about her. He knew the stakes were high, and he wouldn’t be her first man after this bet, but he didn’t care.

Henry asked him for the last time, “Are you sure you won’t regret it later?”

David Nelson nodded, saying confidently, “I am sure. Just don’t make her pregnant.”

Henry narrowed his eyes, “Don’t worry, she’s just a plaything. I would never give her a thing to cling to me.”
