Chapter 3 Bitten
CLARISSE
Another week gone. Same as always. I was always drunk. It was the only way to get through the days. My salary from the bar? It barely covered anything. A small, shitty room, enough food to keep me alive, and, of course, booze.
Tonight was payday, though. So, I decided to treat myself. I went to a different bar, one a little louder, a little more crowded. I wanted to forget everything, even if just for a few hours.
I met two women there, Maya and Chloe. We started talking, laughing, and drinking. They were fun, easy to be around. I felt… good. For the first time in a while, I felt good.
We left the bar together, the noise fading behind us. We were all pretty drunk, stumbling down the street. Maya pointed to a big, bushy tree. "Let's go there," she said, giggling.
We went behind the tree, hidden from the street. The music from the bar was still loud, but it felt muffled, distant. Maya and Chloe started kissing. Then, they turned to me.
"You want to play?" Chloe asked, her eyes sparkling.
I nodded, my heart pounding. They started kissing me, their hands moving over my body. It felt good, so good. I kissed them back, my own hands exploring their curves.
We sank to the ground, the rough bark of the tree digging into my back. It didn't matter. Nothing mattered but the feeling, the heat, the touch of their skin against mine.
Maya started licking my neck, sending shivers down my spine. Chloe unbuttoned my shirt, her fingers brushing against my breasts. I moaned, arching my back.
"You're so hot," Maya whispered in my ear.
"Yeah," Chloe said, "we want you."
They started kissing me again, their tongues dancing in my mouth, teasing and tantalizing. I lost myself in the moment, in the pleasure, in the feeling of being wanted. It was a welcome escape from the harsh reality of my life.
Then, Maya pulled back slightly, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Can we taste you?" she whispered, her voice husky.
Chloe nodded in agreement. "Please? You're so beautiful."
Before I could answer, Maya's lips were on my left nipple, her tongue circling and teasing. A jolt of electricity shot through me, making me gasp.
"Oh god," I moaned, "that feels amazing."
Chloe didn't waste any time. She leaned in and began to lavish attention on my other nipple, her tongue flicking and swirling. The sensation was almost overwhelming, a delicious combination of pleasure and pain.
"You like that, Clarisse?" Chloe whispered against my skin.
"Yes," I gasped, "more… please, more."
Their ministrations were driving me wild, pushing me closer and closer to the edge. I arched my back, wanting more, needing more.
We kept going, faster and harder, until we all reached our breaking point. We lay there, breathless and sweaty, the noise from the bar fading into a distant hum.
Suddenly, a growl ripped through the night, a sound that made my blood run cold.
"What was that?" Chloe whispered, her eyes wide with fear.
I sat up, my heart pounding. Maya did the same. Then, we saw it.
A massive wolf. It appeared out of nowhere, its yellow eyes glowing in the dark.
"Shit!" Maya gasped.
Before I could react, the wolf lunged. It came straight for me, its teeth bared.
The wolf's teeth sank into my arm.
Pain exploded through me. I screamed.
"Help me!" I cried, struggling to pull away.
"What the hell is that thing?" Chloe yelled, her voice shaking.
"I don't know! Run!" Maya screamed, and they both took off, disappearing into the night.
"No! Come back! Help me!" I cried after them, my voice raw with terror. But they were gone, swallowed by the darkness, their footsteps fading into the night.
"Please! Somebody! Help me!" I screamed, my voice cracking, tears streaming down my face. "There's a wolf! Please, someone, help me!"
My cries echoed through the night, but there was no response. The music from the bar was too loud, the people too drunk, too caught up in their own worlds to hear my desperate pleas.
I was alone. Completely and utterly alone.
"Help me! Please! I'm going to die!" I screamed again, my voice hoarse, my throat burning. I was losing hope, succumbing to the despair that threatened to engulf me.
The wolf watched me, its yellow eyes glowing with a predatory hunger. It knew I was helpless. It knew I was trapped.
"Please," I whispered, tears streaming down my face, "somebody help me."
Then, I saw him.
A man. He appeared from nowhere, strong and handsome, with dark, intense eyes.
"Please," I said, my voice barely audible, "the wolf bit me. Help me!"
He didn't say a word. He just stepped forward, his body tense.
The wolf reappeared, snarling.
"Get away from her!" the man growled, his voice deep and commanding.
The wolf lunged again, and the man met it head-on. They fought, a brutal, savage dance of teeth and fists.
"Stay back!" the man yelled at me, his eyes flashing. "Get out of here!"
I couldn't move. I just watched, terrified, as he fought the wolf, driving it away. Finally, the wolf turned and fled.
The man stood there, panting, his clothes torn. He turned to me, his eyes filled with concern.
"Are you okay?" he asked, his voice surprisingly gentle.
"I… I don't know," I stammered, my arm throbbing with agonizing pain. "It bit me… it hurts so much."
He knelt down beside me, his touch gentle as he examined my wound. His fingers brushed against my skin, sending a shiver through me that had nothing to do with fear.
"I'll get you somewhere safe," he said, his eyes locking with mine, holding a promise I couldn't quite decipher.
His presence was magnetic, almost overwhelming, yet somehow… comforting. Despite the fear, despite the pain, I felt a strange sense of security in his presence.
"Who are you?" I asked, my voice trembling, my eyes searching his.
He didn't answer. He simply scooped me up into his arms, lifting me with effortless ease. His touch sent another shiver through me, a confusing mix of pain, fear, and something else… something akin to desire.
He carried me away from the tree, away from the bar, away from the shadows and the horrors they concealed. He carried me into the night, into the unknown.
