The emergency phone in my FBI office was ringing when the lights went out.

I grabbed it in the dark. "Kane here."

"Director, this is Agent Martinez. The entire city just lost power. Every single grid."

"Terrorist attack?"

"Unknown. But sir, there's something else. We lost contac...
