Chapter 2 2
Sasha Castillo.
The entire club seemed to buzz with the music and the flashing lights. It almost felt as though the world was spinning under my feet, and I was surprised how I managed to get through the people and spot the restroom sign down one hallway.
I made my way down the hall, realizing the further I went down, the dimmer the music from the club became and I could not be more grateful for that. Whoever thought of that certainly knew what he was doing.
I spotted a slightly open door towards the end, and about two ladies rushed out, sprinting past me. I watched thier retreating figure over my shoulder with lips pressed forward. Geez, what were they in a rush for like that?
I sighed, shaking the thought out of my head. Whatever. I headed towards where I saw them come out of, assuming it was the female bathroom.
My phone buzzed in my bag, just as it had been doing for the past hour. A hiss eaaped my lips as I shoved my hand into the purse, pulling out the small device that came to life.
The phone’s brightness had me squinting my eyes before it zoned on the messages that decorated my screen, one after another—a total of twenty three messages all from one person.
I could hear her voice in my head as I skimmed through it, reading the ones that caught my attention.
Mamá: Sasha, where are you? I just came to your room and you’re not here.
Mamá: It’s late and you are not back yet. Where did you go to? You are not picking your calls either.
Mamá: Look, darling, I know you are upset but throwing a tantrum would not change things. I have made my decision and it is final.
Mamá: I have left your for tomorrow dress on your bed. It is a big day for us.
Mamá: You are young so you won’t understand what I am trying to do. But I am doing this for your sake. You will thank me one day.
A scoff escaped my lips as I read the last message, my annoyance making some of my hazy mind to clear. I hissed, shoving the phone back into the purse without replying. There is no point. My silence is answer loud enough.
Running a hand through my hair, I took a hold of the handle and pushed the door open, stepping in without a second thought. Another throb from my head had my eyes flicking close momentarily.
A chilling feeling suddenly washed over me, and I found myself peeling my eyes open, my gaze falling on the sight in front of me. Except, instead of the stalls and faucets I was expecting, I was met with something else entirely.
It took a second for my mind to register the scene and the countless eyes that landed on me.
The room was filled with men, one on each side, standing seemingly in a face off—holding something in their hands each. I blinked through my blurry gaze, trying to figure out what was in their hands. Why does it look like a—gun??
A slight gasp escaped my lips, but it ceased just as quickly when I felt something cold being pressed against the back of my head, an arm being wrapped around my shoulder as I was pulled in a hard, rough body with a jerk. The smell of cigarette instantly penetrated my hazy mind, followed by a gruff voice.
“One move, and this bitch dies.” The owner of the voice said harshly, moving towards the group on the left side, seemingly his partners given the way they flocked around him…well, us.
Now facing the other group, only then did I notice there was someone else there, calmly seated on the sofa at the far end. Legs spread wide and smoke swirling in the air around him, it took a moment for the smoke to clear and for my gaze to fall on the dangerously handsome devil there.
Our eyes met, and then his head tilted to the side slightly, the corner of his lips slowly curling into a smirk that was anything but warm.
I found myself releasing a breath I didn’t know I was holding.
Well fuck. This certainly is not the restroom.
Screw my life.
