Chapter 6 Episode 6

“You…?” Emeli’s voice caught.

The man stood right in front of her. His face was firm, neat, and still radiated the same authority she remembered.

“Emeli?” His tone was warm.

Emeli froze for a few seconds, then quickly nodded. “Y-yes… Mr. Victor…”

Victor Valdes smiled faintly. “You’re Emeli, right? I was a bit unsure earlier,” he said casually.

Emeli’s heart immediately beat faster. It had been a year. Since the last time she saw that man on campus. And now… he suddenly appeared in front of her.

“Yes… I’m Emeli,” she answered softly.

Victor glanced around. “Why are you here?” he asked. “This road is quiet, you know.”

Emeli turned to the taxi behind her. “The taxi I was riding broke down,” she explained briefly.

Victor nodded slowly. “Oh, I see.” He looked back at Emeli.

“Do you need a ride?”

Emeli fell silent for a moment. She was actually hesitant. But the situation around her did not allow much choice. The road was quiet, there were no other vehicles.

“Mmm… if it’s not troublesome,” she finally replied.

Victor smiled. “Not at all. Come on.”

He opened the car door for Emeli.

Emeli got in with a bit of awkwardness. Not long after, the car started moving again. The atmosphere inside the car was silent for a while. Emeli looked out the window, trying to calm herself.

Victor glanced briefly. “Are you still living at the same address?” he asked.

Emeli nodded. “Yes, Sir.”

“You don’t have to use ‘Sir’ anymore,” Victor said casually. “I’m not your lecturer anymore.”

Emeli felt a little nervous. “Mmm okay, Vic…tor.”

Victor smiled slightly at her reaction. “You’re still the same,” he said. In his heart he continued, “Still as adorable!”

Emeli turned. “What do you mean?”

“You’re still stiff when talking to me.”

Emeli’s face immediately turned red. “Ah, not really, that’s just your feeling.”

Victor just smiled and did not discuss it further.

A few minutes later, the car stopped in front of Emeli’s simple house.

“We’ve arrived,” Victor said.

Emeli unfastened her seatbelt. “Thank you… for taking me.”

Victor nodded. “You’re welcome.”

Emeli was about to get out, but Victor’s hand grabbed her hand.

“Emeli.”

Emeli stopped and turned. “Yes?”

Victor looked slightly hesitant, but still spoke. “Can I have your number?”

Emeli was stunned. Her eyes widened slightly. “My number…?”

“Yes,” Victor replied casually. “If someday I need something, I can contact you.”

The reason was simple. But it still made Emeli nervous.

“…Alright.” She told him her number.

Victor immediately saved it. “Done.”

Emeli nodded. “Thank you once again,” she said softly.

Victor smiled faintly. “Okay.”

Emeli got out of the car. She stood for a moment, watching the car drive away. Her heart was still pounding.

“Why is today… so strange, meeting my ex and meeting the handsome lecturer I admire…” She let out a long breath, then went into the house.

Meanwhile, in another car, Juna sat in the front seat. Ken was at the back, looking at the tablet screen in his hand.

“This is the data, Sir,” Juna said.

Ken read quickly. Full name and address. Of course, all information about Emeli.

His eyes narrowed. “So her name is Emeli Catrine…” he muttered softly.

A faint smile appeared. “Finally, I found you.” He lifted his gaze. “We’re going to this address.”

“Yes, Sir.”

The car immediately turned. But Juna spoke again.

“Sir, there is one more thing.”

Ken did not turn. “What is it?”

“Victor Valdes has arrived in this city.”

Ken’s movement stopped. His eyes turned cold. “He…” his voice was low.

“Yes, Sir. It is said that he will return to the old house. To gather with the Master and Madam.”

Silence for a few seconds. Then… “For now, Victor’s matter is not important,” Ken cut him off coldly. His tone was firm.

Juna immediately fell silent.

Ken looked back out the window. But his gaze had clearly changed. There was something he did not like about that news.

“Still go to that address,” he said briefly.

“Yes, Sir.”

At Emeli’s house, she had just entered her room. She dropped her body onto the bed.

“So tired…” She closed her eyes.

All the events today felt too fast.

She was helped by Alexa Ken, and had to give her virginity to that powerful man.

Then, she met Aric—her ex-lover, her first love.

And met Victor, her former lecturer. The man Emeli admired.

All appeared at the same time. She let out a long breath.

“Why did those three men appear at the same time?”

Before she could think further, the sound of knocking on the door was heard.

Knock.

Knock.

Knock.

The sound of the door knocking was very clear. Emeli opened her eyes.

“Who else…?” She got up slowly. Her steps were still a bit weak. She walked toward the door.

Then opened it. And Emeli’s eyes immediately widened. Her body froze.

“M-Mr. Ken…?”

Ken stood in front of the door. His gaze was sharp. Without waiting, he stepped inside.

His hand immediately gripped Emeli’s chin. His movement was fast.

“How dare you run away.” His voice was low, but full of pressure.

Emeli was shocked. “Sir—it hurts…”

She tried to break free. But Ken’s grip was too strong.

“My duty was only to sleep with you for one night, wasn’t it?” Emeli said, trying to remain firm even though her voice trembled slightly.

Ken stared at her intently. Then he smirked. “Only one night?” His tone sounded mocking. “That will not be enough.”

Emeli frowned. “What do you mean?”

Ken moved a little closer. His gaze was sharp and piercing.

“To pay your father’s debt to me, one night is not enough.”

Thud.

Emeli’s heart felt like it stopped. “What…?” her voice weakened.

She looked at Ken in confusion. “Huh… why did it become like this?”

Her thoughts were chaotic. “What do you mean? I’m really confused. Weren’t those debt collectors already releasing my father’s debt? Why do I still have to pay it?”

Ken did not answer immediately. He just looked at Emeli in silence. His smile was faint, but full of meaning.
