Chapter 4 Four
Eric came back from abroad because his father was suddenly killed by a werewolf from the Moon-crest pack, he had to become the Alpha of his pack.
The identity of the werewolf who brutally killed his father was unknown and the Moon-crest’s Alpha kept defending his pack members even though he knew what one of them had done.
To secure his pack, Eric has to stay in New-York and lead his pack, the Silver-belt, but he could not forget Lilly.
He transferred to Prestige university because of Lilly.
Eric already determined to bury his feelings for Lilly coming back, but the moment he saw her, his defense was broken.
He wanted her and will do anything to have her.
And now that he is the Alpha of his pack, he will protect her and keep his secret from her no matter how.
But wanting to approach Lilly, she kissed Dave which makes him green with Jealousy.
"Lilly must be doing that because of me right?"
He told himself but he was not satisfied with the strange feeling he had about Dave.
Looking at Dave, Eric felt something different about him but he could still not place it.
"I need to let Lilly know I still have feelings for her." Eric immediately followed Lilly and Dave.
"Will you like a walk?"
Dave said more like a whisper to Lilly as the finally leave the noisy area.
"Umm" Lilly smile softly.
The two walked hand in hand, their footsteps quiet. The only sound was the soft footsteps.
Lilly stopped and slowly turned towards Dave.
“Why did you do that?” Curiosity fills her eyes staring at him.
“Because you’re worth it.” he looked down at her calmly.
Eric blinks, stunned at his answer.
“She’s your girlfriend and she’s se…x…y.”
She mutters half-way.
“And you are pretty,” Dave said quietly, his eyes locking onto hers.
Lilly’s heart skipped dangerously.
Something about the way he looked at her made her nervous.
Lilly couldn't help but feel drawn to Dave's charming smile and piercing eyes.
She felt like she was melting into his gaze, like nothing else mattered except for that.
Dave, sensing her nervousness, smiled.
He rise his brows; his lips curled up in a gentle curve.
Lilly's heart skipped a beat as he leaned in closer, his breath whispering against her ear.
"You're beautiful, Lilly," he whispered seductively.
"Inside and out."
Lilly's cheeks flushed as she felt a shiver run down her spine.
No one had ever made her feel so alive ever since Eric left her three years ago.
She gets carried away, her eyes never leaving his, and she smiled.
"You're not so bad yourself, Dave," she replied, her voice softens.
Dave chuckled and pulled her closer, his arms wrapping around her waist.
Lilly looks surprise, but she felt like she was exactly where she belongs.
In Dave arms.
As they stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, the world seemed to fade away, leaving only the two of them, lost in the beauty of the night.
Dave leaned in closer, his lips brushing against Lilly's ear.
"I want to kiss you again," he whispered, his breath sending her shivers.
Lilly's heart skipped another beat but she nodded shyly.
Dave's lips met hers in a gentle, placing his lips on hers.
Just as they were getting lost in the moment, a voice cut through the air, shattering the moment.
"Well, well, well. Look what we have here."
Lilly's eyes snapped open to see Eric standing in front of them, his eyes blazing with anger. Dave's arms tightened around Lilly’s waist, holding her close.
"Eric, what are you doing here?" Lilly asked, trying to keep her voice steady.
"I could ask you the same thing," Eric sneered, his eyes fixed on Dave.
"Who's this guy? Your new toy?"
Dave's eyes narrowed; his jaw clenched.
"I'm someone who actually cares about Lilly, unlike you," he said, his voice low and even.
Eric took a step closer, his fists clenched.
"You think you can just walk in here and steal her away from me? I don't think so."
Lilly's heart sank as she realized where this was going.
"Eric, stop.”
She sighed frustrated.
“This isn't about you and me anymore."
But Eric was not having it, he lunged at Dave, his fists flying in the air.
Dave dodged the blow swiftly and fast, then Eric knew that feeling.
“He is not a human!”
Eric frown, he knew all his pack members, which means Dave is from the enemy's pack, Moon-crest, the enemy’s pack.
In New-York only two packs of werewolf dominate it, which is Silver-belt and Moon-crest.
Knowing Dave belongs to the enemy’s pack who killed his father and also denying it, Eric’s anger intensified.
He lunged another blow on Dave, but Dave blocks it firmly with his fist.
Lilly screamed, trying to stop Eric, but it was no use.
Then something deeper stirred Eric’s senses, Dave wasn’t just some werewolf.
“He smelled like an Alpha” the kind Eric knew too well.
"You!" Eric’s voice rang out like thunder across the parking lot, sharp enough to deafening the ears.
Dave turned slowly, his grip on Lilly’s hand tightening protectively, his dark eyes narrowed.
“Eric, something you need?”
"He knew my name!" Eric looks more angered now.
Lilly stepped back, uneasy at the sudden change in Dave’s posture.
“What’s going on with you two?”
Neither answered, instead, Dave leaned and whispered something in Lilly’s ear.
She frowned but nodded and left hurriedly.
The moment she was far enough, the tension broke out like a fire.
Eric’s hand shot forward, gripping Dave’s collar.
“You’re not with her.”
Eric said, grinning his teeth.
“Looks like she disagrees. And who are you to say otherwise? You left her, didn’t you?”
“I left to protect her!” Eric growled, his eyes flashing amber under the streetlight.
“You think I wanted to walk away?”
“You had your chance,” Dave snarled.
“Now she’s with me.” he mocked.
Without warning, Eric shoved him back, and Dave staggered, landing with a grin of strength.
Then he lunged at him.
Their bodies collided, a blur of fists, claws, and snarled clashed.
They couldn’t shift fully, too risky with humans nearby but their Alpha strength resounded to the surface.
Dave charges a wild punch, came up with a vicious uppercut that sent Eric sliding back.
Eric wiped blood from his mouth and laughed darkly.
“You’re strong,” he admitted.
“But she’s not yours.”
“She will be,” Dave growled, voice deepening with wolf-like aura.
“Unless you want to lose more than a few teeth.”
Eric roared and charged again, this time tackling Dave into the side of a parked car.
Metal crunched beneath them; the impact triggered a car alarm that howled in the distance like a siren for war.
Their eyes met for a moment in the chaos, golden and glowing with fury.
“This isn’t over,” Eric hissed and hurriedly left before the police will arrive.
Dave chest heaving.
“It just started.” he shouted at him.
