Chapter 4: Ignoring Armor-Piercing Bullets Sweeping the Ground, One Sword Slash Annihilates the Many Enemies

As Ryan's words filled with killing intent fell, the air in the laboratory seemed to instantly drop to freezing point.

But after a brief moment of shock, Jack burst into a piercing, maniacal laugh, as if he'd heard the funniest joke in the world.

"Wipe out the Spencer family? Lock down Harmony City? Who do you think you are? The chairman of the United Council?"

Jack pointed at Ryan, his face full of mockery and contempt. "You're just a loser who disappeared five years ago! Got some strength, put on a piece of scrap metal, and you dare act tough in front of Harmony City's top elite? Today I'll show you the unbridgeable gap between bottom-feeding trash and the upper-class elite!"

Ryan didn't even glance at Jack.

Holding the weak Ella in one arm, he walked steadily to the corner. He bent down and extended his right hand to the blood-covered Sophia.

Looking at this man standing tall like a demon god before her, Sophia's tears burst forth like a breaking dam.

Five years of grievance, fear, and longing completely erupted in this moment.

She tremblingly grasped Ryan's broad palm, used his strength to stand up, and leaned tightly against his shoulder.

"It's really you... Ryan... you came to save us..." Sophia sobbed uncontrollably, her hands gripping Ryan's black armor tightly, as if afraid this was all a dream.

"I'm here. No one can hurt you anymore." Ryan's voice was incredibly gentle, but when he raised his head to look at Jack again, his eyes had turned as cold as looking at a dead man.

Completely enraged at being ignored, Jack pressed the communicator by his ear and roared frantically, "Security team! Everyone out! Kill this idiot in black armor!"

The walls around the laboratory instantly slid open to both sides, and fifty fully armed heavy mercenaries rushed out from the shadows. Each wore thick bulletproof armor and carried large-caliber armor-piercing heavy machine guns that could easily tear through armored vehicles!

The dark gun barrels all aimed at Ryan's back at the same time!

"Go to hell and have a family reunion!" Jack shrieked with a twisted face.

"Fire!"

All fifty mercenaries pulled their triggers simultaneously! Deafening gunfire echoed madly in the sealed underground laboratory. Dense armor-piercing rounds wove into a web of death, screaming through the air as they shot toward Ryan and his family!

Sophia let out a desperate cry, instinctively wanting to close her eyes.

But at the critical moment before the bullets hit, Ryan suddenly turned around. He used his broad back as a shield, protecting Sophia and Ella tightly in front of him!

Dense metallic clanging sounds erupted like a violent storm.

Countless special armor-piercing rounds capable of penetrating 15 inches of steel plate frantically struck the black armor on Ryan's back. Yet that seemingly thin armor didn't even show a single scratch!

All the high-speed bullets, the instant they touched the armor's surface, were like hitting the hardest substance in the world, directly crushed into flat pieces of iron by the terrible recoil force.

Dozens of seconds later, the gunfire stopped.

The gun barrels emitted white smoke from overheating. The fifty mercenaries stared in disbelief at what was before them.

Ryan still stood upright in place, at his feet a thick layer of deformed, spent bullets had piled up.

"This... how is this possible?!" The arrogance on Jack's face completely froze.

His legs began trembling uncontrollably, like a duck being strangled by the neck, unable to say a word.

These were military-grade armor-piercing rounds the Spencer family had bought at great cost! Even light tanks would be riddled with holes!

"Is that all you have for last words? Just this pile of scrap metal?"

Ryan slowly turned around, his deep eyes seeming to burn with black flames from hell.

He slowly raised the black broken sword in his right hand and casually swung it at the fifty heavily armed mercenaries still in extreme shock.

Without deafening sound, only a black sword energy over ten meters long, like Death's scythe, lightly left the blade and swept across the laboratory!

A flash of light, too fast for the eye to catch, passed through the waists of the fifty mercenaries.

The entire laboratory fell into deathly silence.

The next second, the fifty large, burly heavily armed mercenaries, without even managing a scream, had their upper bodies slide off along the smooth cut and fall to the ground in unison.

The bulletproof armor they were so proud of was more fragile than paper before that black sword energy! Blood instantly stained the entire metal floor.

Fifty people, instantly dead!

Jack's pupils contracted violently, his heart nearly jumping out of his throat.

Monster! This was a complete and utter monster!

Strong survival instinct overcame Jack's reason. He scrambled toward the control panel and slammed his palm on a glaring red button.

"Beep—beep—underground base self-destruct sequence initiated! Countdown: one hundred twenty seconds!"

A cold mechanical synthesized voice echoed in the laboratory, and all the lights instantly turned warning blood-red.

Taking advantage of the chaos, Jack didn't hesitate to turn and rush toward the exclusive escape passage behind the wall.

As Jack rushed into the passage, a titanium alloy security door two feet thick crashed down, completely sealing it.

This was an absolute safe room the Spencer family had prepared for core members—this door couldn't be budged even by the most powerful explosives.

Hiding behind the door, Jack gasped for breath, his entire body soaked in cold sweat.

He leaned against the cold wall, showing a bitter smile of survival: "So what if you're strong? When the self-destruct bomb explodes, your whole family will be buried in this underground tomb..."

Before Jack could finish, the titanium alloy security door behind him suddenly made a deafening explosion!

A black sword light directly penetrated the two-foot-thick titanium alloy, tearing the entire door in half like cutting tofu!

Dozens of heavy metal fragments flew in all directions, smashing into the passage walls.

Through the drifting metal dust, Ryan, holding his daughter and stepping on the scrap metal, entered the passage like the Grim Reaper.

"No... don't..." Jack was so scared his legs gave out, and he collapsed to the ground, losing control of his bowels.

Ryan said nothing, suddenly reached out his left hand, grabbed Jack by the throat, and lifted him into the air with one hand like picking up a chicken for slaughter.

"Cough cough... let go... of me..." Jack's feet kicked wildly, his hands desperately trying to pry Ryan's fingers loose, his face turning purple-red from suffocation, his eyes filled with undisguised extreme terror.

Ryan's five fingers slowly tightened, his eyes cold to the extreme: "Now, tell me, where are the people of the Spencer family?"

Jack rolled his eyes, the bones in his neck making cracking sounds under the strain, death's shadow completely enveloping him.

However, just as Ryan was about to crush this scum's throat.

Ella in his arms suddenly convulsed weakly. Then, her originally warm little body's temperature began dropping at an incredible speed, becoming cold as ice.

The little girl's originally weak breathing completely disappeared in this moment!

Ryan's heart seized, panic flashing in his eyes for the first time!
