Chapter 5 Trenton

I was dreaming about chasing a white tiger thru our woods when she stopped and turned around to face me and what I saw made me stop dead in my tracks. Looking straight at me were the bluest eyes I’ve ever seen and all I could do was suck in a breath. She turned her head a little to the left then said " We will meet soon my alpha, It will be a shock to you but know it will be to my human and your friends to. Till then goodbye Zane." Right after she said that she touched her snout to mine and ran off. When I was about to chase her, I was woken up by banging on my door and someone shouting, " Trenton it’s time to get up I have to talk to you before school son so get up or you won’t have time for food." It was dad shouting so I yelled " I'm up give me 20 dad and I’ll meet you in your office." Dad said ok and walked off. I just flopped back in bed and thought back on my dream. She knew my status and my wolf's name it was weird. I shook my head and got up to shower I needed a clear my head so that I can be somewhat awake to listen to what dad had to said. It sounded important. I turned my shower on and then handled my business, brushed my teeth and jumped in. I washed quickly and got out and went to get dressed. The entire time Zane was quiet in my head. " You ok Zane?" I asked as I picked out a pair of black jeans and a White T-Shirt with my black adidas. Zane answered with a shake of is head and a sigh.

" Yeah, Trent I'm ok just thinking about that tiger. I think she is ours and the guy’s mate Trent. I mean if you remember what she said it was mentioned that it would be a shock to us, her human and the guys. So maybe we just met our mate in our dreams." Zane mentioned while I was drying my hair and styling it back. I thought about what he was saying and realized that he may be right. I’ll need to talk to the guys to know for sure but it’s a good start to be able to untangle this mess with the dreams. " I’ll ask the guys when we pick them up let's go see what dad needs to talk about, so we don’t miss breakfast." I said as I left my room on the second floor and walked straight to dad’s office.

I knocked on the door and waited for him to answer. While I was waiting, I could smell and hear mom in the kitchen humming while she cooked. I smiled and heard dad shout "Come in." I opened the door and looked around. Dad's office was set up like a principles office with the desk sitting in front of the window and some books shelves all along the wall with leather seats. Dad was sitting behind the desk looking at papers when I sat down. " Good morning dad." I said as I reclined back and was watching him finish the paper. "Good morning son, sorry to wake you up earlier than normal but I wanted to mention to you about the new student starting school with you today." Dad said as he finally looked up and saw a shocked look on my face. " When did someone move into territory and why didn’t I know about this?" I asked with an attitude behind it and it didn’t go unnoticed by my dad. " Now Trenton I know that wasn’t a growl to your words. And to answer your question the family did not move into the territory they wanted to live on the border. I am mentioning it because the parents had talked to me and told me a little about their past and about the woman who is starting school today." dad answered with a growl to his words but also looking like he was amused by my reaction to hearing this. I swear this man has to rile me up sometimes.

" Now that I got your attention listen carefully ok. The girl’s name is Jazzamine Bartallota, and she is a hybrid shifter she is 17 years old. I don’t know what her other animal is, but I know one is a wolf. That is all her mom would say on that. She did tell me that they were her adopted parents since her mom was killed in an accident. She wouldn’t elaborate more about it but was willing to give us that. When I asked why they wanted the border and not to be around everyone else she said it was better in case they needed to leave in a rush to protect everyone. She didn’t seem like she wanted to say more so I let it go. I just want you to watch the girl because I feel like they are hiding something but are not willing to tell until they trust us which means its serious enough to warrant a little bit concern." Dad said but the entire time I was thinking about the girl's name. " That is not a normal last name dad. It sounds Italian. Are they from Italy? And I’ll keep an eye on her most likely it’s probably nothing to serious." I answered as I got up to go eat breakfast I was starving.

" Do you think they have an in with the mob or something worse dad. I mean honestly if they rather live on the border then they have more woods to run in than anything else. Do we know what type of shifters the parents are? Or are they the same as her." I asked before we headed out the door. Dad looked thoughtful like he was trying to remember the answer to my question or if he even knew. Apparently, he did cause the answer he gave me shocked me enough to stop at the door. " Well Trent if I remember correctly her parents and brother are Siberian tigers from Italy. I don’t know their colors since Italy isn’t really known for their colder climate. But I guess you’re right, I do know that Mr. and Mrs. Bartallota are coming over to talk some more to me and your mom after they drop their son at school since Jazzamine drives herself everywhere." I just looked at dad and said the only thing I could think of " Are you fucking shitting me. Their tigers damn I wonder if Jazz is to wow, I didn’t see that coming but ok. Got it I’ll make sure none of the littles go that far into the woods without an adult, so they don’t get scared then." Wow I couldn’t believe we now have tigers live with us man this is going to be a fucking shock to everyone including the guys when I tell them about the new wolf starting today. Dad was laughing behind me when we walked into the kitchen to see mom plating our food. " What are you guys laughing about now?" Mom asked as I was walking around to hug her and give her cheek a kiss. " I just told Trenton about the Bartallota’s moving in and them being tigers. Let's just say he had the same reaction I did when they told me." Dad said as he accepted the coffee cup mom gave him with a kiss. Mom just laughed and shook her head while saying, " I know I was standing right there with him, and I swear I thought I heard his brain break. The entire time that he was silent Mr. Bartallota was laughing and looking at his wife who was just smirking. It was the funniest thing ever to see your father so speechless. I swear I fell in love with them then and I told them too. It made Mrs. Bartallota start laughing and your father just looked at me with a mock attempt to be mad." mom answered while getting that same look again by dad and shaking his head.
