Chapter 4 Hall Counterattack
Dirty water came pouring down. Just as everyone was gloating and waiting to see Ivy drenched in filthy water, she swayed slightly and quickly grabbed Mr. Monroe, who was standing not far behind her.
The dirty water poured down accurately onto the principal's head, soaking him completely. Instantly, a foul stench spread out.
"Ah!!"
"Who did this!"
The stage descended into chaos, with many teachers rushing up to check on the principal.
But Ivy just stood there calmly.
The person hiding in the shadows stomped their feet angrily and struck again.
Out of the corner of her eye, Ivy noticed someone controlling the plastic bucket of water overhead. The bucket suddenly came flying at her. She dodged to the side at lightning speed without even looking, then kicked it hard with a flying kick. The plastic bucket went smashing toward the person hiding in the shadows.
"Ah! That hurts!"
The plastic bucket hit the student who tried to ambush Ivy hard in the face, and cries of pain rang out continuously.
"Ha, child's play."
This kind of ambush was nothing to Blood Dove.
She stood on stage dismissively and challenged. "Anyone else who's not convinced, come at me."
However, this time the auditorium fell completely silent. Not a single person dared to make a sound.
Everyone stared at Ivy on stage in shock. The girl who used to be so timid and submissive was now saying such threatening and powerful words.
Had she become a different person?
Angela, standing below the stage, looked at Ivy in front of her with surprise. Was this still the same idiot, the Cooper family's young lady from before?
Ivy on stage threw down the microphone and walked off stage with her head held high. Not even the school teachers dared to stop her.
It had to be said that this speech on stage was quite intimidating. After returning to the classroom, those who used to bully Ivy no longer dared to gossip about her to her face. Even if they wanted to talk, they shut their mouths when they saw Ivy.
The world was finally peaceful. Ivy followed the original owner's memory and sat down at her seat.
For some reason, since her rebirth, she had felt very tired. As soon as she sat down, she fell asleep.
Students trickled back into the classroom. Just as she was dozing off, she heard a scream.
"Ah, my sapphire necklace is gone! Who stole my sapphire!?"
"Don't make me catch you—come out yourself right now!"
Class 2 of Senior Year immediately exploded, with classmates asking the owner Jane Lee with concern.
"I remember that necklace was a birthday gift from your dad a few months ago, worth over five million dollars!"
"Jane, think carefully—how did you lose it? Where did you put it?"
Jane anxiously rummaged through her bag and checked her drawer. "I just put it in my drawer. When I came back from the auditorium, it was gone."
Jane came from a wealthy family. The Lees were one of the noble families in the city.. Jane was usually spoiled and often threw tantrums, but the classmates, intimidated by her status, dared to be angry but not speak out.
Now that something was lost, the students in the classroom stayed silent.
Charlotte arrived late and walked from the classroom door to Jane's side with a concerned look. "Jane, don't worry. The thief must have entered the classroom before you came back. We just need to search those few people who came back to the classroom before you, right?"
Charlotte's words seemed to remind Jane. She immediately locked her gaze on Ivy, who was sleeping.
A close friend beside her seemed to notice her gaze and immediately shouted, "I remember now! Only Ivy was in the classroom before Jane came back!"
"Ivy!! You stole Jane's sapphire."
Countless eyes turned to the corner, where Ivy was sleeping on her desk, completely motionless.
This immediately pissed Jane off. She stormed over to Ivy and slammed her hand on the desk.
The loud bang made Ivy look up with a frown, her voice irritated. "Looking for death?"
The cold, dismissive tone made Jane grit her teeth in anger. She was the class's young lady—how dare this illegitimate daughter talk to her like this?!
A friend behind her immediately defended her. "Ivy, you bitch, stop pretending! You definitely took Jane's sapphire!!"
"That's right, a poor nobody like you must be jealous that Jane has a sapphire, so you took advantage of her not being back in the classroom and stole her stuff!"
The speaking classmate quickly grabbed Ivy's small bag from the desk. As soon as she opened it, she exclaimed. "Jane, your sapphire is really here! Ivy stole it!"
In front of everyone, that classmate pulled out a sapphire necklace from Ivy's bag. The students present instantly erupted.
"Ha, caught red-handed!"
"I thought Ivy had changed at the auditorium earlier, but turns out a dog can't stop eating shit. She's just a country bumpkin who's never seen the world, and now she's stealing with dirty hands. Disgusting."
"Jane, I think you should call the police. Everyone here can testify that this lowlife stole your stuff."
Jane took the sapphire, and after confirming it wasn't damaged, she looked viciously at Ivy below and sneered. "The Cooper family's illegitimate daughter really can't be brought to the table."
Charlotte followed behind Jane, adding, "Exactly. An illegitimate daughter who grew up in the countryside, seeing a five-million-dollar gemstone for the first time in the city—she must have gone crazy with jealousy."
"Lottie, I really feel sorry for you. The Cooper family is a wealthy household, how did they end up with such a shameless lowlife?"The vicious voices around her grew louder. Ivy, who had just been sleepy, felt her temples throbbing with pain from the disturbance. She couldn't bear it anymore and didn't need to—she banged on the desk with a loud "bang."
This time it was even louder than when Jane had knocked earlier, and the people in the classroom were scared into silence.
Then, Ivy slowly rose from her seat. The original owner was, after all, the true daughter of the Cooper family, and genetically inherited the family's tall stature. Standing up, she was noticeably taller than the several female classmates in front of her.
Having her sleep disturbed made Ivy very unhappy.
She squinted impatiently at Jane. Before she even spoke, just that one look made Jane's whole body go cold. But she stubbornly insisted.
"Ivy! You stole my stuff, and you still dare to have this attitude with me!"
Ivy didn't waste time talking. She grabbed Jane by the hair so fast that Jane screamed before anyone could react. "Ah!!"
"Ivy, are you crazy? What are you doing?! If I go home and tell Mom today, you're dead! Let go of Jane right now!"
Charlotte was about to step forward to stop her when Ivy moved aside and pressed Jane's head down, then said coldly, "Open your dog eyes and look carefully at what's on the necklace."
Her tone carried a powerful sense of oppression. Jane actually obeyed obediently for a moment, her gaze involuntarily looking at the sapphire. Her good friend beside her also looked.
"This..."
"Jane! There seems to be a hair stuck on your sapphire."
