Chapter 1 Unjustly Murdered

Sylvia POV

I died a horrible death and woke up in the body of the immortal Vampire Draxler.

It all began on the flooded streets of Vanshi Town. Rain poured uncontrollably as I ran with all the strength left within me.

"Catch her!!!" Zara roared as her minions ran after me like hungry wolves.

I needed to get away from these predators. They chased me as if I had committed a grave offence. This bullying had gone on for weeks.

The constant humiliation was pathetic and threatened every ounce of comfort and normalcy in Vanshi Town.

But tonight was different. They had taken a school beef to the marketplace, and nobody cared enough to caution them. Nobody tried to save me from the hands of these people until the unimaginable happened.

"The more you run, the angrier I get!" Zara cried out.

Gosh, I hated it when she made that statement. The last time she said it, she stuffed my head in a toilet until I literally passed out.

I would have died if not for the intervention of the school disciplinary master.

The busy vendors avoided my gaze as I ran helplessly. Zara was popular around here. Her brothers were the leaders of the two great Mobs of Anchor Street. If anyone meddled, their businesses would be evaporated before daybreak.

That was how terrifying it felt, standing up to the Wizards of Anchor, or at least that was what they were called.

I jumped into a moving tricycle, and the guy in charge cursed, "What the fuck? Get off my ride!"

When he saw the fiends running after me, he stepped on the accelerator and we zoomed off, but my happiness was short-lived.

Zara wouldn't give up. She intensified the chase, and the traffic lights shattered my hopes immediately the red light came on.

"Please, sir, move! The road is practically empty!" I blurted out in desperation.

"What kinda trouble did you get yourself into, young lady?" he asked angrily.

I had two options: stay and get caught, or continue on foot. I jumped off the tricycle without looking left or right. Then I heard the screeching sound of a Ferrari's tires.

My heart leaped into my throat, but the inevitable happened anyway.

I was sent flying over the bridge, and in that moment all I could see was darkness as I crashed brutally onto the cold concrete. The height of my fall was terrifying.

Making it out alive would be a miracle...

………….

"Get up, kid!" someone screamed.

"Oh no, her internals are shattered!" another shouted.

"Call an ambulance!" a young man yelled.

Why were they all looking blankly in one direction?

I rushed towards the spot they were all staring at, then a terrifying realization hit me.

How was this even possible?

They were all staring at my lifeless body covered in a pool of blood.

Here I was, standing hale and hearty, so who was that lying on the floor? Dead.

"Ma'am, miss, can you hear me?!" I called out, but she didn't even blink.

My chest tightened as I gasped for air. My fingers dug into my skin, and a terrifying chill ran down my spine.

This was indeed horrifying. It was too much for me to process.

I stumbled backward. "That's not me," I murmured.

I reached out to touch one of the guys trying to resuscitate me, but my hand went through him like smoke.

"Stay with me!" he roared as he continuously pounded on my chest.

No, no, no! This can't be happening.

I tried once more, but my hand went through him. Then I stared intently at my palm, and ultimate fear overwhelmed me like a flood.

Then I saw her. Zara and her gang stood staring at my lifeless body in horror. Moments later, they departed from the crime scene as if they had nothing to do with my death.

I made a vow that instant. If only God would give me a chance, I would take my revenge on that wicked girl.

The ambulance arrived within minutes, and I was gently covered and placed inside. A handsome man was loaded in as well. I didn't know the cause of his accident, but that was the least of my problems right now.

As I watched the ambulance depart, an invisible force pulled me straight through the closed ambulance doors. I guess death doesn't obey the laws of physics.

The steady beeping of the machines in the ambulance greatly unsettled me, but I saw something far more terrifying.

The guy strapped beside me was mortally injured. Even beneath all the injuries, his features stood out.

He looked overly handsome. He had a sharp jawline, dark grey wet hair clinging to his forehead, and a perfect model-like face.

My stomach churned when I saw the deep cuts in his neck and abdomen.

The paramedics checked his arm and neck once more as they cursed under their breath. "Fuck, there's no pulse."

"Fatal internal damage... we've lost him," another said, shaking his head regretfully.

They checked him again and again until the leader beckoned.

"Focus on the girl. Can't you see the straight line on the monitor? We can't afford to lose her too!"

They turned to me and began trying various means to revive me.

Then the unthinkable happened. His finger twitched.

I stared at him in excitement. "Doctor! Doctor... look!!!"

But, as expected, the doctors didn't hear me.

Then his wounds began to heal at a visibly fast rate.

The deep cut across his neck closed in an instant. Bruises on his face and chest faded into clear skin. The broken bones snapped back together as torn tissues reconnected.

"What the hell?" I blurted out, widening my eyes in confusion.
