Chapter 5 The First Revenge

Draxler POV

I've spent a good chunk of years in the old world. I immersed myself in underworld activities and Vanshi rulership to keep in touch with the modernities of this era. It gave me a different part to life and a sort of persecution complex.

In the past, while other guys discussed superheroes, I worried about being bullied as a teenager. While other guys flirted with girls they liked, I worried about losing verbal battles.

So I signed up for every debate competition possible and developed the most vicious tongue that could win any argument.

Unlike Silas, who went about fighting to enforce his rule, I conquered Vanshi Town through strategy and diplomacy, even though I had the strength to do so by force.

In my past life, kids were nice and sweet, parents were gentle and loving, and servants obeyed without complaining. Just when I was getting bored, the Almighty brought this golden opportunity to me.

I listened in on the conversation between the doctor and my new parents, Mr. Stuffin and Patricia.

"You can see her now. She's awake," the attending doctor pointed toward my room.

The beautiful lady ran in and hugged me, crying crocodile tears while protecting my supposed half-brother, Bucky.

"Sylvia, from now on, Bucky, your brother, should always be by your side. You shouldn't go running about in Vanshi Town. Thank the heavens you're still alive," Patricia spoke hypocritically.

Bucky agreed on the surface, but deep down he had other intentions. I peeped into Sylvia's memories and put the pieces together.

Bucky must have been the one who set me up with Zara before I was killed. He deliberately made things difficult, making sure I abandoned the family driver and took the bus. That's where Zara found me and began the chase.

My first revenge plot was to get even with Bucky.

Smiling at my dad, I spoke out. "Dad, can I get a 4D action camera from the mall before we go home?" I asked politely.

Mr. Stuffin stared at me for a few seconds.

"What do you need a 4D action camera for?" he asked curiously.

Patricia cut in immediately. "You see? You've spoiled her. Now she wants to go around throwing money on some useless spy camera."

"Just the way you threw Dad's previous holiday investment on some makeup kits you didn't use," I cut in sharply.

Mr. Stuffin laughed under his breath, then cautioned me. "Damn, girl. A coma gave you an attitude. Alright, I'll get you your cameras, but don't go insulting your mama next time."

Just like that, the issue was settled. The drive home was unusually quiet, and I played with the action camera, gently setting it up for future use.

Two minutes after entering the Stuffin household, Bucky pulled one of his naughty tricks, stuffing his Rolex into my pocket and accusing me of being a petty thief.

His cries were disgustingly satisfying. Under the suspicious eyes of everyone, I pulled out my 4D action camera.

"Come on, everyone. Let's watch it bit by bit."

The entire Stuffin family was shocked by my actions. Bucky gritted his teeth, staring at my 4D action camera in surprise.

"This is a recording of everything that happened since I entered the Stuffin mansion."

I excitedly forwarded through the events, searching for the exact point. "Don't worry, I covered every angle. You can't miss it."

Bucky's face turned pale when the recording began to play. Before I reached that point, Bridget, my supposed half-sister, spoke up angrily.

"Just stop! What are you trying to prove? Do you mean Bucky framed you? I practically raised him myself. He wouldn't do such a thing."

What a classic line. She was trying to cover up his hypocrisy.

I yawned lazily as I pulled the video to the exact moment Bucky stuffed the Rolex into my pocket.

"You being the biological daughter of the Stuffin family doesn't mean shit! I'll make sure I kick you out into the streets. Mum, Dad, and Bridget will only love me..."

"There it is!" I cried out in excitement, pausing the video.

On the screen, Bucky's fingers were suspended above my pocket with the Rolex in hand.

Mr. and Mrs. Stuffin wore confused expressions as they couldn't utter a word.

Bridget stared at Bucky in disappointment as the entire room fell silent.

"Don't all go quiet on me now. Does this prove that I stole anything?" I turned toward Patricia and my dad.

Then I turned to Bucky. "You checked the video. Does this prove my innocence? Bucky, can you give your own side of the story? Can you tell everyone how you felt when framing me?"

Bucky's face turned ashen as he stammered. "You... I wasn't..."

Then he turned to his parents with a pleading look before collapsing dramatically to the ground.

My parents and half-sister, who stood still moments ago, rushed toward Bucky. "Bucky! Bucky!! Call an ambulance!"

I rushed up to Bucky. "Don't collapse on me. You've not given your statement about the framing. You need to testify before fainting."

Bridget roared at me angrily. "Sylvia, what the hell is wrong with you? Young Master Bucky has fainted, yet you're still provoking him? Where is your conscience?"

I rolled my eyes in boredom. "I worked so hard to get every angle of the crime scene, and you're talking about conscience?"

The Stuffins didn't care about me anymore. They hurriedly put Bucky into the family SUV and drove back to the hospital.

I stretched lazily as I packed up my 4D action camera and relaxed on the cozy couch.

First challenge in the Stuffin household, handled.

Bucky stayed in the hospital for a whole day. Bridget and my parents stood by him, offering comfort. The old Sylvia would have felt jealous, but the new me was different.

I had a wicked package waiting for him when he returned, and I needed to teach those bullies at school a dangerous lesson too. All these thoughts made my blood boil with excitement.
