I patted Renault's face with the broken blade of my sword.

He lay on the ground, his face submerged in blood.

It made a whimpering sound.

"What did you just say?"

I said.

"You want to turn my daughter into a blood slave?"

Renault shuddered.

"I...I was wrong..."

His voice sounded like a broken bellow...
