Chapter 5
Ward Jimmy stared intently at the bald man, refusing to back down in any way.
“Not to do it?”
The bald man let out a light laugh, but his expression immediately turned cold, with a sinister look appearing at the corners of his mouth.
“With you worthless piece of trash, you still dare to talk back to me?”
As soon as the words were spoken, a faint yellow glow emerged from the burly man’s body. A yellow ape’s phantom appeared behind him out of thin air.
“First level of the beginner rank!”
Ward Jimmy’s pupils constricted. He had thought that all the workers in this place were mere mortals. But he never expected that the supervisor would actually be a first-level mage.
“Damn it, if I don’t teach you a lesson, you’ll never know who’s the boss of this mess hall!”
With that angry shout from the bald man, his fists suddenly swelled in size. Immediately afterwards, they flew toward Ward Jimmy’s face, accompanied by gusts of wind.
This bald man’s skill is of the highest level. As the Yellow Monkey, when he activates his skill, he can increase his own strength by hundreds of pounds.
With those massive fists, capable of generating hundreds of pounds of force, even a fierce tiger would be crushed to death!
If it had been a day earlier, Ward Jimmy would have been at a loss against this bald man. But now, he was at the same level as this man—both were at the first level of the beginner stage.
Moreover, it’s a body that has been strengthened twice, with a primary first-level ability of the advanced ninth rank.
So, without using any skills, Ward Jimmy took a big step forward and swung his right fist at his opponent.
“You brought this upon yourself!”
Seeing that Ward Jimmy actually threw a punch back, the bald man sneered. He could almost imagine the once-supreme genius from the experimental class groaning in pain and begging for mercy later on.
Bang!
A dull sound rang out, and a faint, visible shockwave spread rapidly from the point where the two fists collided.
In that very moment, the fierce smile on the burly man’s face vanished instantly, and his eyes became vacant.
How could this good-for-nothing have reached the first level of the beginner rank? Weren’t all his skills useless anyway?
As soon as this thought crossed his mind, there was a loud thud—as Ward Jimmy’s fist knocked the big man’s punch aside.
Immediately afterwards, Ward Jimmy delivered a powerful punch to the burly man’s abdomen. Then, with a quick turn, he kicked sideways, hitting the bald man’s neck with his left leg while simultaneously stepping down forcefully.
With a loud noise, the bald man was kicked by Ward Jimmy right into the wooden planks of the ground, along with his head.
“Ah!”
Wood shavings flew everywhere, followed by a scream that suddenly ceased!
Ward Jimmy stared down at the bald man coldly and said, “What if I say no now?”
“You… weren’t you already deprived of your skills?” The bald man struggled to get up from the floor. His face, covered in bruises and blood, no longer showed any trace of arrogance. Instead, it was filled with fear. “How… how is it that you’re only at the first level of the beginner rank?”
Just at the moment of their clash, the bald man clearly sensed the fluctuations of magic surrounding Ward Jimmy.
He was at the same first-level beginner stage as him, if not even better!
He was acting on Ryan Churchill’s orders to make life difficult for Ward Jimmy. He also learned from Ryan Churchill that Ward Jimmy had had his abilities revoked—that he was nothing but a worthless person.
But why has it reverted to the first level now? Moreover, he didn’t even use any skills when he attacked just now.
If only I had known that my skills were based on strength, like Kurohige’s!
At that moment, the bald man’s heart was filled with overwhelming emotions. He simply couldn’t accept everything that was happening before his eyes.
“Hmph!”
Ward Jimmy snorted coldly, giving him a disdainful glance. “I know you’re just another lackey of Ryan Churchill. Today, I’ll spare you. Go back and tell Ryan Churchill that he shouldn’t let his lackeys bark at me all the time!”
“Now, get lost!”
Ward Jimmy’s deep voice, like the voice of a deity, made the bald man shudder. Without caring about his own injuries, he scrambled away from there.
Snow Mountain, Snowden Hall.
On the grand Snowden Hall, there was a jade throne. On it sat an emaciated old man with white hair and beard.
The old man wore a black robe with dragon patterns. With his eyes closed, he sat there quietly. Strangely, there wasn’t even a trace of magical energy around him.
He is the master of Snow Mountain Gate, Jiang Liu.
And those carrying out the attack were a group of old men in white robes.
Although they all appear old and frail, each one is actually full of energy and vitality. The magical power emanating from them causes the air around them to vibrate slightly.
Especially that old man in the white robe at the head—the square-faced man with a beard and long eyebrows, his eyes filled with anger. Several peach blossoms were pinned to his snow-white robe at the chest. Of all the old men there, his aura was the strongest of all. In fact, it had reached the peak of the Soul-Controlling Realm!
He is Angelo Churchill, the administrative professor at Snow Mountain Gate. He is also Ryan Churchill’s grandfather.
At this moment, all of these old men occasionally glanced at the person kneeling in the center of the hall, looking thoughtful.
And the bald man kneeling in the main hall was none other than him.
By this point, the bald man no longer had any of the arrogance he had shown in front of Ward Jimmy. Instead, he was terrified, trembling non-stop, even while kneeling there.
“Master, Professor of Administration, that Ward Jimmy is actually only at the first level of the beginner rank, and yet he still dared to attack me!”
At this point, the bald man’s voice grew softer. Touching his still-blue and swollen face, his eyes were filled with grievance.
“Are you really sure that Ward Jimmy is only at the first level of the junior rank?” Angelo Churchill demanded angrily, his voice filled with coldness.
“Sure, sure! I guarantee it with my life. That Ward Jimmy is definitely at the first level of the beginner rank.”
Hearing the bald man’s reply, the professors present couldn’t help but frown.
“Logically speaking, since Ward Jimmy’s skills have been revoked, it’s absolutely impossible for him to learn them again!” said a professor with a long beard, stroking his beard firmly.
A short professor raised his eyebrows and retorted, “Professor Julian, but the facts are right before our eyes. There’s no way you can deny them!”
Just as the professors were arguing endlessly, a voice suddenly rang out.
“Tell me, could Ward Jimmy possibly be a dual-skill ability?”
I don’t know which professor said this, but the moment those words were spoken, the entire hall fell completely silent.
On the green jade throne, Master Snowden’s previously half-closed eyes also slowly opened at this moment.
And Professor Longbeard seemed to have heard something shocking. His hand, which was stroking his beard, trembled uncontrollably. He pulled out a clump of beard, then exclaimed, “What? Twin skills! If that’s the case, then Ward Jimmy must be a truly rare genius!”
A dual skill, as the name suggests, refers to a situation where one person gains access to two different skills.
“Hmph!”
Angelo Churchill couldn’t help but snort in disdain. He spoke in a deep voice, “A twin ability that occurs once in ten thousand years—something that hasn’t even happened throughout the entire Roman Empire. What merits does Ward Jimmy have to deserve such a thing?”
Just then, Lord Snowden suddenly spoke up, “Professor Churchill is too hasty in his judgment. Based on what we know now, it’s entirely possible that Ward Jimmy actually possesses a dual ability!”
“In that case, doesn’t that mean Snow Mountain Gate has produced a genius among its members?” Upon hearing this, the other professors couldn’t help but start discussing the matter among themselves.
However, what Angelo Churchill said next left them speechless once again.
“Don’t forget, Ward Jimmy has already lost one of his skills. His foundation has been destroyed. Even if those are twin skills, it’s unlikely he’ll ever be able to reach the Junior Third Level in his lifetime!”
“Then, what does Professor Yi mean by this?” Professor Longbeard asked tentatively.
“In my opinion, Ward Jimmy is unlikely to achieve anything significant. There’s no need to waste the sect’s resources on him. Let him just remain in that menial position for the rest of his life.” After saying this, Angelo Churchill turned to Snowdon, the sect leader, and asked with a bow, “What do you think, sect leader?”
“You take care of it.” Yet, it seemed like Snowdon, the master of the door, didn’t care at all. After giving those words, he simply closed his eyes again.
