I had been standing close to the porch for over an hour now, after I knocked and no one answered.

Or was she avoiding me?

Then I saw someone bringing out trash from the next house.

I walked up to him.

“Hi. Have you seen the people who live here?” I asked him

“Sorry they don’t stay here anymore”...
