Chapter 6

"""What are you doing?! Believe me—I'll call the police right away!""

Witnessing this scene, Belice Klein immediately realized it must be the Winston family coming for revenge, and she shouted loudly.

""Call the police??"" The man in a white suit sneered. ""Shouldn 't we be the ones calling the police first? Wasn't it your husband who came to our company and assaulted us?""

Belleth Klein paused for a moment, then said angrily, ""That was that damn Andre Winston who tried to...""

It was me who called Andre Winston. What do you think?

Alan Yegel interrupted Betheline Klein, pulled a cigarette from his pocket, took a puff, and spat a mouthful onto the face of the man in the white suit.

""Hehe, you really are quite arrogant, kid.""

Berg Winston's face turned ashen, his eyelids fluttering uncontrollably—he never expected Alan Yegel to be so arrogant!!

With a cold snort, he gestured toward the group behind him, and the already cramped space instantly became even more confined.

Belice Klein, weren't you supposed to call the police?? Hurry up and report it—don't forget to call 120 too, or your husband could die en route!!

As he spoke, Berg Winston gave two sly smiles, licked his lips, and continued:

By the way, I forgot to tell you that calling the police won't help... Just act!!

Berg Winston's expression hardened; a cold gleam flashed in his eyes as he shouted fiercely, ""A group of armed men has surrounded Alan Yager!""

Alan Yegel frowned, took a deep puff of his cigarette, then tucked the remaining half between his ears before looking up at the crowd and smiling.

I fully agree with you; calling the police... is pointless.

With those words, Alan Yager's eyes turned cold as he swiftly delivered over a dozen kicks at the crowd surrounding him.

Suddenly, a muffled thudding sound echoed as over a dozen people—just moments earlier still looking fierce and menacing—planted themselves on the ground, gasping in pain.

Everything happened in the blink of an eye!

Not even Berg Winston's sinister smile had faded; he gritted his teeth, ready to join the battle. And Bethel Klein hadn't even managed to stand up yet!!

The instigator, however, walked past those lying on the ground with a cold smile, removed his cigarette from his ear, and spat a mouthful of smoke onto Berg Winston's face.

I'll go back and tell your family's headman that the situation with André Winston is far from over.

""How... how is that even possible?""

Berg Winston's face turned pale. Upon coming to his senses, he swallowed hard and left with a group of people—without even realizing it; his legs were trembling as he walked away!!

Only after watching the group leave in disappointment did Alan Yager turn around and glance at Bethel Klein's shocked expression, smiling awkwardly.

How did you react? Are you scared??

Belleth Klein nodded hesitantly; then, realizing she might cause Alan Yeger to misunderstand her, she quickly shook her head again.

Seeing Belice Klein's utterly adorable appearance, Alan Yegel couldn't help but smile, though he wondered if he should avoid acting so aggressively in front of her in the future.

""Alan Yegel, so you're actually that talented...""

Belleth Klein stared blankly at Alan Yeger, reflecting on what he had done that day, before suddenly speaking up.

""I've actually always been pretty good.""

Alan Yegel looked at Bethel Klein and said, ""Isn't that right? He was once a legendary sorcerer—people even gave him the nickname' The Immortal Beyond the Palace'!""

""They've always been amazing...""

Belleth Klein paused for a moment, then recalled her past mockery and disdain toward Alan Yeger, feeling a wave of guilt.

“ Yes ……”

Ding ding ding!!

Before I could even say the three words ""I'm sorry,"" Alan Yegel's phone rang.

""Hello, may I ask who you are? I'm... what's wrong? Oh, good afternoon, Dean Xie. Well, I understand now.""

Alan Yegel hung up the phone, then looked at Bethel Klein and smiled.

The father's surgery has been confirmed for next week, to be personally supervised by the hospital director. Additionally, Dr. Müller has been assigned a special investigation team by the hospital administration to conduct a thorough inquiry.

Really?! That's great!!!

Belleth Klein stood up joyfully; she didn't care whether Dr. Müller was alive or dead—what mattered to her was that her father would finally regain consciousness!

Alan Yegel, thank you!!

Only after the celebration did Bethel Klein realize she hadn't even thanked Alan Yager, and she quickly said this in an apologetic tone.

""Hehe, no problem. You're my wife, so doing anything for you is only right.""

Alan Yegel laughed.

As Belice Klein listened to his words, a feeling she had never experienced welled up inside her. After a moment's thought, her face flushed; she quickly tapped Allen Yeger on the cheek and then said shyly,

Is it uncomfortable to sleep on a sofa?

""No, it's quite comfortable.""

Alan Yegel was taken aback for a moment before saying,

""Alright then.""

Belleth Klein's ears turned red; she slightly pursed her lips and hurried back to her room.

""Hehe, just a silly girl.""

Alan Yegel looked at the shy Bethel Klein, couldn't help but smile and shake his head, then sat down on the sofa to begin his practice.

Shit!!

As soon as he assumed his stance, Alan Yager's closed eyes widened dramatically!

My God, didn't I miss something just now?!

No conversation all night.

“ what ?!”

The next day, when the elderly member of the Klein family sat at the head of the table and heard Duff Klein's report, he became so furious that he stood up immediately!

""Grandpa, Alan Yager is absolutely despicable—he literally broke Andre Winston's leg. Now the Winston family has abandoned any cooperation with us and even declared that all second-rate families in Seattle should stop working with us!""

Duff Klein's swollen face still showed, but recalling Alan Yager's appearance, he gritted his teeth and repeated what he had just said.

This is absolutely unacceptable!! How dare such a worthless person commit such a crime?!

""Second Uncle, we must not let these two go easily! If this continues, our Klein family will completely vanish from the list of Seattle's prominent families!!""

""Yes, Uncle Two, we must punish them severely!""

Below, a group of Klein family members, their eyes red with anger, unanimously condemned Bethel Klein and the other individuals involved.

The old man composed himself, then abruptly sat back down in his chair and jabbed his cane firmly against the floor several times.

""Get Bethel Klein and that useless person here right now!!!""

""Yes, Grandpa, I'll go right away to call Bellis Klein and that idiot!""

Seeing the furious old man, Duff Klein felt an immense sense of satisfaction. He immediately accepted the task, hurried downstairs, and drove his Mercedes straight to Bethel Klein's home.

Belis Klein, open the door!!

Duff Klein knocked on the door several times and shouted loudly.

Creak.

The door opened, and it was Alan Yegger who held it.

""What are you doing here again?""

Seeing Alan Yager's cold expression, Duff Klein's heart skipped a beat. Gathering his courage, he shouted inside.

""Belleth Klein, your grandfather asked you to attend a meeting—will you go or not?""

""Grandpa Two asked me to attend a meeting?""

Belleth Klein stepped out, wearing an apron, and asked with a look of surprise.

""Exactly—I was waiting for you alone. And also, bring Alan Yager along!""

Thinking of Alan Yager's brutality that day, Duff Klein immediately swallowed the words he was about to utter—after all, this was Yager's territory, and if he got beaten there, no one would stand up for him!

After finishing his speech, Duff Klein went downstairs on his own.

Alan Yager...

Belleth Klein's heart was pounding rapidly as she grabbed Alan Yegel by the arm.

Don't worry, go ahead—I'm here with you.

Alan Yegel smiled."
