Chapter 7
"Belleth Klein and her companion arrived at the base of Klein Family Company's building on their electric bikes. Only after receiving reassurance from Alan Yager did Belleth Klein enter the meeting room alongside him.
As soon as they entered, everyone glared at them with anger; the old man likewise fixed a fierce stare on the two men.
""Alan Yager! What a bold move!""
After a moment of silence, the old man suddenly stomped his cane and glared at Alan Yeger in anger.
""Second Grandfather, this matter isn't that simple. Please listen to my explanation!""
Belleth Klein quickly stepped forward.
I don't care about explanations or justifications—I only care about the results!
The old man let out a cold snort, looked at Alan Yager, and said with a gloomy expression,
Alan Yager, do you realize that by breaking Andre Winston's leg, you've not only caused the Winston family to stop cooperating with us, but even all the second-tier families in Seattle have ceased collaboration with us?! Do you understand the magnitude of this loss?!
“ I do not know 。”
Alan Yegel shook his head expressionlessly.
A loss that even eight lifetimes of work by Alan Yager could never make up for!!
You useless brat! What more do you want to ruin our Klein family?! You scum!!
Alan Yegel, you wretch! What good are you except as a husband?!
Alan Yegel gave a cold laugh as he looked at the angry members of the Klein family and took a step forward.
""What does your loss have to do with me? Do I even bear the surname Klein?""
The entire room fell silent for a moment, before an even louder roar erupted.
You useless brat! You live off the Klein family's resources every day—do you really think it has nothing to do with you?!
Alan Yegel, you despicable scoundrel! Never forget your true identity—you're a traitor to our Klein family!!
Alan Yegel, you damn stubborn piece of shit!!
""When did I ever eat at your Klein family's restaurant?!""
Hearing the crowd's curses, Alan Yegel took a deep breath, let out a loud shout to drown out their voices, then glared at them coldly and said,
""My wife Bethel Klein is indeed from the Klein family!! But has she ever received any favor from members of that family?! Forget about the coffee shop—get her a job! That coffee shop was opened by her father using his own money! As for a job, how dare you Klein family members?! Employing your own niece as a cleaner?! Just a cleaner, and her salary isn't even competitive with that of other cleaners. That's exactly how you treat your niece?! I'm eating all the hard-earned money my wife works tirelessly to earn every day—it has nothing to do with you!""
As soon as Alan Yager finished speaking, the members of the Klein family instinctively wanted to argue back but couldn't think of anything to say—after all, what Alan Yager said was absolutely true!
Beside her, Bethel Klein listened as Alan Yegel recounted his story, tears welling up in her eyes.
""Well, Alan Yegel—so you mean you're living off others' success yet still feeling superior?""
""Antony Klein said with a cold laugh.""
Do you have anything to eat? Oh, by the way, how much pocket money did you get from your wife today?
Alan Yegel gave him a mocking look. The man immediately blushed with embarrassment and tried to say something but held back.
But after all, she's from the Klein family! This whole situation is entirely your fault, Alan Yegel!!
At this point, someone finally mustered the courage to refute them.
""Hmph! Do you really have no idea who Andre Winston is?! Send Beth Klein to talk to him—don't you even know what your own intentions are?""
Upon hearing these words, Alan Yegel gave a cold laugh, then approached Dave Klein's parents and said to them,
What do you think? Is what I said right?
""I... I don't know what you're saying.""
Anthony Klein felt a sudden panic; his flushed face immediately changed, and he quickly avoided Alan Yeger's gaze.
""Alan Yegel, what the hell are you talking about, you crazy person!!""
However, the woman beside him quickly contradicted him.
“ All right !!”
The old man above furrowed his brow deeply, roared fiercely, then fixed a stern gaze on Alan Yager before turning to Berice Klein and declaring, ""Berice Klein, if you believe you have been wronged by the Klein family, then from today onward, you shall no longer be considered part of the Klein family! Our family will absolutely not contribute a single cent toward your father's claim, and we will reclaim control of the coffee shop!""
When the old man announced this decision, a group of Klein family members all gave cold smiles. Duff Klein also glared at Beth Klein with malicious intent—he knew full well that this was Beth Klein's Achilles' heel!
However, to everyone's surprise, when Bethel Klein heard this decision, she simply wiped away her tears, let out a sigh of relief, bowed to the old man, and wore a smile of profound satisfaction.
""Second Grandfather, since that's the case, this will be the last time I address you that way. From now on, I'm Bellis Klein—not just 'Klein,' but a member of the Klein family.""
The last few words were spoken almost word by word, so angrily that everyone's expressions changed completely.
But Bethel Klein paid no attention to these matters. By now, the surgery schedule for his father had been finalized, and he was also aware of Alan Yager's extraordinary capabilities.
Being a member of the Klein family meant nothing to her anymore—just as Alan Yager put it, that family never offered her any sense of homecoming.
At this thought, Belice Klein straightened up, smiled as she approached Alan Yeger, took his hand, and walked out with him. Upon reaching the door, she turned to face everyone's astonished yet complex expressions and spoke earnestly.
Furthermore, I must emphasize that my father purchased that coffee shop with his own money, and it is registered under my name; you have no right to reclaim it. If you insist on doing so, we will have no choice but to take the matter to court!
Great!! Absolutely great!!
The old man stood up with a gloomy expression and a trembling voice, watched the two people leave, then rose and jabbed his cane fiercely as he spoke.
Second Uncle, don't be angry—I'm sure those two will come back in a few days crying and begging you!
""That's right, Uncle Er – please don't show any mercy when the time comes!""
Indeed, Second Grandfather shouldn 't get upset over such a despicable person; it wouldn't be worth it to suffer physical harm from anger.
For now, I think we should focus on finding a way to get through this crisis—otherwise, our Klein family will truly decline!
A group of people quickly spoke up, with one mentioning the current difficulties, immediately plunging the meeting room into confusion and panic.
How about it? You seem quite happy about being expelled from your family.
""Looking at Bethel Klein's radiant face,"" Alan Yegel said jokingly.
""Stop mocking me!""
Belleth Klein shot him a glance, her lips involuntarily curling into a smile before fixing a stern stare on him.
I have no way out now. If you dare abandon me in the future, I'll kill you!
Well, I'd like to leave you behind—at least if you're still my woman. Well, how about tonight... in bed?
Alan Yegel touched his nose and chuckled, which made Belice Klein's face turn bright red.
You're shameless!!
Belleth Klein cursed, took a few steps forward, then suddenly stopped as if something had occurred to her. She turned around with a look of concern on her face.
“ what's up ?”
Alan Yegel saw her reaction and was momentarily stunned.
I've thought of something.
""Belis Klein said this with gritted teeth.""
“ What's up ?”
Alan Yegel asked.
I don't really care whether he's from the Klein family or not, but my father is such a traditional man—I'm worried he might be unable to cope when he learns about this...
Upon hearing Bethel Klein's words, Alan Yager couldn't help but frown—this was indeed something he had truly overlooked. After a moment's thought, he patted her shoulder and said,
Don't worry; I guarantee they'll beg you to come back!"
