Chapter 8 7

Morning came quickly, a long night spent in passionate play. Camilla and Danieru were still lying in bed, cuddling and sharing a blanket.

Danieru slowly opened his eyes, the light leaking through the curtains disturbing his sleep. For a moment, he was lost in thought. Camilla's face looked fresher now, no longer pale, and he hadn't even heard her sleep talk last night.

Slowly, he released his embrace and got up and sat on the edge of the bed. Danieru smiled, even laughing softly as he remembered last night's play. Camilla had truly meowed like a cat; she had made him feel adorable.

"So she's stupid too," Danieru said softly. He turned his attention back to Camilla, who was still sleeping peacefully.

"Hey, wake up. Do you want to keep sleeping like a pig?" Danieru asked, tugging at Camila's hand. He wasn't satisfied with his pranks; he wanted to see her eyes this morning, and to see her reaction.

"Camilla, wake up!" Danieru said in a rather loud voice. The man shook his head when she didn't wake up.

Danieru immediately pulled the blanket off Camilla's body, stood up, and grabbed her ankles. He pulled her legs up, letting her fall onto the thin mattress below.

"Ah, damn it!" Camilla said, wincing. She immediately woke up on the thin mattress. It wasn't too painful, but enough to make Camilla wince.

Camilla opened her eyes and looked at Danieru, who was still holding her ankle.

“You idiot, what are you doing?” Camilla asked. She moved her leg, trying to get him to let go.

“Waking a sleeping pig,” Danieru replied.

“Pig?” Camilla asked, confused. “Are you raising pigs?”

Danieru held back a laugh; it turned out he had not made a mistake in choosing a contract wife. Camilla could make him laugh, making him forget about his work for a moment.

“Why aren’t you answering?” Camilla asked.

Danieru regained his focus and released his grip on Camilla’s leg. He stared at Camilla, who was now lying on her back, not to mention naked.

“Camilla, why are you sleeping like a pig?”

Camilla widened her eyes. She had no idea Danieru liked to compare herself to animals so much. The woman immediately sat up, then stood up to match his height.

“What did you just say?” Camilla asked. Her face was now so sour, she even glared at Danieru with a very sharp gaze. If her eyes were swords, Danieru would be dead now, covered in blood.

"I just said you sleep like a pig, you're very hard to wake." Danieru took a step back, preparing to run if Camilla wanted to attack him too. He couldn't read the woman, and he was sure she was holding back her irritation.

"Say it again." Camilla prepared to attack Danieru, she would pull his hair until he was bald.

"No repeats, if you don't listen, that's your problem."

Hearing Danieru's answer made Camilla even more irritated. The woman immediately took a quick step and attacked Danieru. But unfortunately for her, Danieru quickly dodged her attack.

"DANIERU!" Camilla shouted.

"What?" Danieru asked innocently. Luckily, Danieru's room was spacious, making it easy for him to escape and avoid Camilla.

"You're annoying!" Camilla reiterated. Ever since she met Danieru, her peaceful life had become a complete mess. Danieru had managed to annoy her; he was the first person to ever annoy her.

"If I'm annoying, why don't you punch me in the face?" Danieru asked.

"DANIERU, YOU'RE REALLY ANNOYING!" Camilla exclaimed loudly.

Danieru laughed, then remembered last night's incident. "Meow... ah, meow."

Camilla's face felt hot, remembering the embarrassing incident. The beautiful woman became even more annoyed, and she was also embarrassed that Danieru was still bringing it up.

"Meow... meow... hahaha... meow." Danieru suppressed a smile, preparing to open the door and flee the room.

An irritated Camilla immediately ran, trying to reach Danieru. But again, she failed. Danieru immediately opened the door and ran out of the room.

"I'll kill you, just watch it!" Camilla declared. The woman, unconcerned about her naked body, immediately chased after Danieru, who was already outside the room. Camilla glanced toward the stairs; Danieru was also on the ground floor.

Camilla quickly descended the stairs, catching up with Danieru quickly. The woman passed the sofa, grabbed a cushion, and threw it at him.

Danieru, sensing danger, immediately averted his gaze and saw the cushion flying toward him. He quickly dodged Camilla's throw, laughing in satisfaction when she missed him.

Annoyed, Camilla stomped her right foot. Why did it have to fail, when the cushion was so close to hitting Danieru's head?

"Stop it, you're making me tired in the morning," Danieru said.

"Not until I get you," Camilla replied.

Danieru glanced at the clock on the wall, smiling again in amusement. His mind flashed back to last night's events. Although he didn't want Camilla's body, it would be hypocritical not to enjoy it.

"My sweet cat, why are you still staring at me like that? Do you think of me as a fresh fish?" Danieru asked.

Camilla grabbed another cushion and threw it at him.

Danieru dodged the throw and looked back at Camilla. "Is my sweet cat really hungry? Look, only her chest is full, while her stomach is flat. Are you starving, my dear cat?"

"YES, I'M HUNGRY AND I WANT YOU TO BE MY FOOD!" Camilla stated angrily.

Danieru laughed again; seeing Camilla upset was his entertainment from today on. Maybe she wouldn't just be his contractual wife, but she would be his friend.

"Camilla, how about we become friends from today?" Danieru asked.

Camilla, who had been annoyed all along, continued to glare at Danieru. "Friend? If you want to be friends with me, then you'll be the one receiving my attacks."

Danieru shook his head. “Do you think I’m stupid?”

“Yes, you’re even an idiot to me.” Camilla looked away, feeling comfortable when Danieru talked to her about friendship. She didn’t have any friends, and she wanted to experience what it was like to have someone to call a friend.

“Okay, you can reply to me. But after this, you have to be my friend,” Danieru said.

“You must be lying,” Camilla retorted.

Danieru stepped forward, approaching Camilla. “Reply, I’m not lying to you. But you have to hear this first.”

Camilla was quite surprised when Danieru approached her. She held back her hand to prevent it from pulling his hair, patiently waiting for what he would say.

“First, as a friend, I don’t want you to buy those men anymore. Besides being my wife, you’re my friend. I don’t want my friend to be involved with other men, I don’t want you to return to a world you shouldn’t be in.” Danieru stared at Camilla, wanting to free her from this world that was so dark and addictive to her.

"Then you want me to die, enduring pain I can't even escape."

“You’re jumping to conclusions too quickly.” Danieru sighed wearily; talking to a woman was indeed very difficult.

“I will be your medicine, I will help you as a friend. Besides being your husband, I am also your friend. So, come to me when you feel sick, don’t hide and look for someone else.”

Camilla began to understand Danieru’s intentions; she knew he wasn’t as evil as she thought. “Is there anything else?”

“I’ll still call you cat, and you’re free to call me whatever you like.”

“What if I call you dog?” Camilla asked.

“Kitty, and Doggie? Not bad, just think of them as our special names.”

Camilla nodded, then smiled mysteriously. It seemed like this would be fun, but she hoped she would never fall in love.

“Now you can return the favor,” Danieru said.

Camilla reached for Danieru’s hand, gripping it tightly. The woman smiled, then bit his hand.

“CAMILLA, YOU’RE OVERDOING IT!” Danieru’s shout was so loud, his voice echoed.

“Hahaha… I’ve already gotten back at you, Doggie.”

Danieru, who heard Camilla's words, was stunned. They were now friends, and they could share their problems. It wasn't clear how long their contractual husband and wife status would last, but Danieru was certain he would maintain his and Camilla's friendship.

"Today we'll choose a wedding dress. I've already finished the venue and other preparations."

"Okay, we're friends now." Camilla released Danieru's hand from hers. She immediately held out her pinky finger.

"Yes, we're friends now." Danieru immediately intertwined his pinky with Camilla's.

"Doggie," Camilla said.

"What's wrong, Kitty?" Danieru asked.

"Thank you," Camilla replied sincerely.
