New friend

" ah" I screamed before turning black. He immediately covered  my mouth and dragged me to the secluded  place. A laughter erupted from Henry as he let go of me.

" It was not funny." I said as I calmed myself down. We both sat next to eachother in a stone benches near-by  .

" So , I presume that you heard the sound of a woman screaming for help. " He asked me as I was thinking about the weird noise that stopped the woman's scream.

" yes. I wonder who she is ." I said with not much emotion so that he won't be suspicious of me. He looks at  me like trying  to read  me.

" She is a werewolf. They're torturing her for some inside information about werewolves pack. " He said as he looks at me keenly. I only nodded but inside I am in a turmoil. I think it has to be Marcia. I need to find her soon.

" So anyways, why are you here Carla? What are you doing  at night in this place?  Exposing yourself to these blood suckers." He asked me.I slapped his hand .

" We are also half blood suckers ,you known. Not fair." I said as I thought of what to say.

" I am Carla Wilson. I don't know who my parents were. I grew up in foster care and ran away once I find out who I am. I was basically running all my life. That's how I landed here." I lied , keeping it simple.

" Life must be pretty hard for you,then" he sympathize  with me. That's good. He will come in handy.

" It's getting late. Good night." He said and stood up." Where are you going, Henry?" I asked him unsure.

" I am going  out to a club nearby. Want to come? " He asked me. I agreed  so that I  can get closer to him. He took  me out in a BMW car.

" how do you afford it?" I asked him. He smiled at me and said " I am king's favourite.  He treats me like a brother."

" Can you show me around? " I  asked him slowly.

" Tomorrow I will show you around the mansion as King won't be here. It will help you in years  to come. I will get you  a new mobile " He said with a smile.

He is helping me without even asking him. I think moon goddess is on my side. Soon ,we arrived at the club.

Henry took me to the VIP section.

While I was drinking  and having  fun with some of the friends  Henry introduced,  I felt like someone starring at me .

I looked around  and saw Alpha Nick in a couch a few meters away . He has his hands on the shoulders  of two different  girls bit his eyes piercing  at me.

I felt a tug of pain in my heart despite  my resolution  of not crying  over him. I need to see this so that I  can move on.

He ignored my presence as his eyes went back to the girls. I was about  to walk away  when he dragged  me to them.

" hey everyone . This is Erin. She is my mate. She shamelessly follow me despite  I don't want her. " He said to the group of people .

" Nick. Let me go" I tried to yank my hand away. He let go of me harshly as I  bite on his hand causing  me land on the glass table.

The glass pierced through  my forehead and my hand . He  looks at me worried for a moment  and then walked away.

Henry came rushing me to the exit. He carried  me in his arms. " I am fine. It's already  healing  . see." I showed him as the wounds that are started  to heal.

" I am sorry. I shouldn't have let you alone. It's  my fault. I am sorry. " He said ,feeling guilty. He suddenly  came closer and blew air to my forehead .

" you imbecile. " Nick growled as he throw him to the nearby wall.

" how dare you touch her?" Nick punched Henry on the face causing  me look at him angrily.

I pushed him back and went to Henry. I helped him get up and turned towards  Nick who is seething in anger.

" you are unbelievable.  One time , you behave  like you despise me  then the next moment,  acting  all possessive.  Why? Just reject me and get it over." I said as I  wiped the tears.

" Are you that eager to be without this  freak?"he angrily asked and shook his head.

He then grabbed me harshly  by my hair and whispered " I am not rejecting you until I  feel like to let you go. I like to mess with you.  Also don't  believe anyone blindly . Trust Noone." He loosened  his grip and our face are so close .

" remember. I will see you . Until next time." He kissed my cheek and let me go. I touched my cheek where his lips lingered a while ago. It's  just a peck and stupid  heart is going  crazy.

You hate him.

He hate you.

He pushed you.

He manhandled  you.

He  was possessive about you.

He kissed us.

He will love us.

Stop messing  my mind with your thoughts, Essence.

" so, You and Alpha Nick" Henry trailed off .

" He is my mate. I don't know  how I was chosen by moon goddess but yey  ,lucky me. " I said sarcastically.

" Then why are you not together?" He asked skeptically.

" He doesn't  want me. But ,for some reason he doesn't  reject me either. Before I could  try to reject him, he vanishes from there. "

Soon we reached the palace. He then took out a food package and hand it over to me.

" It's  already late. There will be nothing to eat . So, I thought to buy you these. " he sheepishly  smiled as he ruffled his hair.

" Thanks for everything. I really  mean it." I hugged him and then pulled away.

" Come . I will walk you to your quarters. " He came with me. I waved him off and entered.

After that I returned to the quarters and played it cool with the girls so that noone gets suspicious of me.

I lay down on the bed while my mind kept on replaying the words " Trust  Noone."

What did Nick mean by that?
