The second they heard that voice, Victor and Lilia whipped around. Victor froze solid as if struck by lightning, his eyes bulging nearly out of their sockets.

Lilia let out a shrill scream like she’d seen a ghost and collapsed flat on the concrete dock.

“D-Dante?!”
