Elara's POV

My body hits the freezing water. Pain explodes in my chest. My lungs feel like they're tearing apart. Every time I try to breathe, freezing water rushes into my lungs.

I can't even struggle. The late-stage lung cancer has already ravaged my body. The beating I just took left my insides...
