The dragon’s lair was quieter than I had imagined—a solitary tower. Orion set me down on the stone slabs of the terrace, his brow furrowing slightly.

He stood up. "I'll go get the medicine."

I could hear him rummaging around inside the tower. The clinking of bottles and jars drifted out, occasiona...
