Chapter 10

Part 10

William drives me home. Our goodbye is hasty and nothing like what I had imagined. During the drive he offered to help, but when I see the ambulance outside our house I shake my head.

‘Dad is in good hands,’ I assure as I unbuckle my seat belt and grab my bag.
