Chapter 1 Arrival.

STAR

I was happy mum finally got rid of her abusive and cheating ass shit of a husband—my dad, even if it meant starting a new life in a new pack and with a new father figure, Alpha Fredrick—mum's new husband who happens to be the Alpha of the Moon Sage pack.

Today, I will be moving into the pack. I’d just finished my examinations for the session which I had to beg mum to let me complete with my peers before transferring to a new school which she surprisingly agreed to.

The limousine which had come to pick me up from school in my old pack because I was a boarder dropped me in front of my mum's new family home. I stared at the big mansion, almost utterly speechless. It looked like a castle.

My friends at school had been blasting my phone with messages when they saw the limo pull up for me.

"Wow," I muttered amusingly. The cold breeze slapped my face as I stepped out of the car while I fought the urge to stop grinning like I'd hit a jackpot. Well, the moon sage pack is the leading and strongest, wealthiest pack in the werewolf territories, so, I expected no less from them.

I pulled my luggage towards the door and pressed the button beside the door. I heard the chiming sound from inside the house and waited patiently for the door to open. A few seconds later, the door opened suddenly, and I was greeted by a woman in her early fifties wearing a maid's uniform.

A smile appeared on my face as I was about to greet her and introduce myself, "Hi, I'm—"

"You must be Miss Star," she beat me to it and smiled. I nodded immediately in response, my smile getting wider.

"Please, come in, we've been expecting you. I'll inform the Luna of your arrival." She said, stepping aside.

That was mum. A sense of pride coursed through me that my mother was the Luna of this prestigious pack.

"Thank you," I tried to grab my luggage when she stopped me. "Don't worry, I'll have the younger maids carry them to your room, Miss Star."

"Okay."

I gaped in awe as I walked into the mansion. It was even more majestic on the inside.

"Star, you're around!" Mum approached me out of nowhere and I gasped when my eyes fell on her. She looked so pretty and expensive.

"Mum!" I ran over to her and fell into her warm embrace. I've missed her so much.

"Oh, my baby," she cooed. I nuzzled into her bosom. Her sweet fragnance filling my nostrils. After having my satisfaction from the mother and daughter embrace, I pulled away.

"Mum, look at you! You look so different," I gushed out.

She rolled her eyes teasingly, her cheeks burning red, "Star, please." She smiled.

I chuckled. "I'm so happy you made the right decision."

Mum's green eyes sparkled, she moved closer, grabbing both of my hands with hers. "Thank you, baby. I'm happy too." She sniffed, trying to stop herself from tearing up.

I sighed. "Mum, it's all in the past right now. That man doesn't deserve any tears of yours again." I uttered frankly. Mum nodded in response, smiling at me.

"You are right, Star." She muttered.

She heaved in a deep breath, "Come, let me take you to your room and get ready to meet the rest of your new family." She said and I nodded. I can't say I was excited but I was actually nervous about meeting Alpha Fredrick and the rest of his family.

I hope it turns out great.

I trailed behind Mum as she walked up the stairs. "Here's your room. I've got everything prepared to your liking." She beamed, pushing open the door for me to enter.

I waltzed into the room and immediately got awestruck. This was a Barbie princess room. "Mum!" I called out in disbelief, turning around to face her as my heart did a bit of racing.

"Do you like it?" She asked.

"I don't like it?”

“What? Goodness!”

I love it, mum!" I giggled, jumping happily on my feet. It was a lilac themed room—my favorite color and mum paid every little attention to the dream room I'd always wanted as a kid.

I pounced on my bed and it happened to be the softest thing I've ever lain on in my life. "Gosh, this is amazing."

"I'm glad you do," Mum said softly. I sat on the bed to look at her and fell on my back on the bed, excited.

"Why don't you check your closet?" Mum suggested and I sat up almost immediately.

"I have a closet?" I questioned, wide-eyed.

Mum smiled, nudging her shoulders at me. "Well..." I could see the faint smirk at the corner of her lips.

I stood up from the bed and walked over to the place she had pointed and when I opened the door, a loud gasp escaped my lips.

My eyes twitched in a frantic attempt to see if all these were real. The closet itself looked like a room on its own and was filled with luxurious designer bags, shoes, clothes, and the rest. And I mean tons of them.

My feet grew weak as I could barely stand. "Please, mum, tell me I'm not dreaming?" I was scared to believe all my deluded fantasies were starting to come true.

"It's real, my love, "you are a princess now and you should get used to it," Mum said. My lips parted slightly.

I tried to speak but no words were forming.

Is this real?

I wasn't wrong when I said I felt like I'd been the one to hit a jackpot.

"Now, get ready and change into one of these dresses, everyone is waiting to meet you."

"Everyone?"

"Well, the Alpha and his sons," she highlighted.

I swallowed. I was going to have brothers and I don't know how to feel about them. What if they don't like me? I thought, tugging on my lower lip.

I felt mum's hand on my shoulder and I turned my head slowly to look at her.

She had this assuring look in her eyes as she could read through me. "Don't worry, darling, I'm sure they'll love you, they're sweethearts."
