Chapter 3 Say you’re MINE
Sienna.
The next morning, I opened my door to head down for breakfast. At the same time, the door opposite mine swung open. There he was, shirtless again. At least he had the decency to put on sweatpants this time.
Swallowing my pride, I stepped forward, approaching him.
“Hey, I’m sorry about yesterday,” I muttered. I tried my best not to let my eyes roam over his chest even though it was a losing battle.
He didn’t say a word. He just stood there, staring at me like I had a third eye in the middle of my head.
“Okay,” he finally said.
“I’ll replace your sandwich, if that’s what you’re so mad about,” I said, rolling my eyes.
“You think I care about some stupid sandwich?” The light in his eyes went off. “Stay in your freaking lane.”
I looked around to be sure I was the person he is speaking to. Then i scoffed.
“If no one told you you’re rude, well, I’m saying it now,” I hissed before stomping away.
“Girl, why do you look like you’ve seen a ghost?” Bianca asked when we met up later.
“Just tired,” I murmured.
“I met someone, Si. And… we’re kinda together now.” She said it more like a confession.
My mood switched instantly, my eyes lightening up. “OMG! Bianca, when did this happen?”
“Promise me you won’t be mad first.”
Confused, I asked “Why would I be mad? I’m happy for you!”
Just as she was about to explain, someone called her name from behind me. I turned around and froze. It was the cute coffee guy—the one who had left me on read. I thought maybe he was coming to apologize.
“Hey, so—” I started, but he just gave me a single nod.
“Hi.”
Before I could breathe, he pulled Bianca into him and kissed her deeply. They started tongue fucking right in front of me like I wasn't even there.
“Wait... what?” I stammered. “What’s going on?”
“Simon and I are together now,” Bianca said, breathless.
I didn’t even wait for the rest. I simply walked out, my head spinning.
“Sienna! Please, wait!” Bianca caught up to me, grabbing my arm. “I was going to tell you! I’ve always liked him and we ran into each other at the store... it just happened. It wasn't intentional, I’m sorry”
“I told you I liked him, Bianca.”
“Sienna, please. I don’t want to lose you. I’ll break it off immediately , I promise. I just felt like someone finally liked me after everything...” her eyes welled up.
My heart softened, even though it hurt. “It’s okay, Bianca. You can... have him.” The words tasted bitter, but I wasn't losing my best friend over some guy.
“I’m happy for you,” I forced out a smile.
She pulled me into a tight squeeze. “I love you so so much! You’re the bestest girl ever.”
For the next few days, it was constant. Bianca was practically rubbing it in my face, sticking her tongue down Simon’s throat every chance she got.
“Hey, we need to get you a boyfriend soon, Si,” Bianca teased. “Then we can go on double dates… It’ll be so much fun. Right babe?”
“Yes, my love.”
She was doing it again, my blood went hot as she kissed Simon before I even responded.
“I actually do have a boyfriend,” I said, the lie slipping out before I could stop it.
“You’re kidding! Who?” Bianca yelled, making everyone nearby turn their heads.
Panic set in. “Who is he? Is he hot?” Simon shook his head, looking annoyed that Bianca was interested.
Right then, a sleek black Maserati pulled into the lot. My step-brother, Roman, was behind the wheel looking like a total jerk and the same time so fucking lickable.
“Him,” I pointed.
“No way. He’s your boyfriend?” Bianca gasped.
“Holy shit,” Simon added. “That car is dope.”
“Yes. His name is Roman,” I said, my heart hammering against my ribs.
“We have to say hi!” Bianca started dragging me toward the car.
“No, wait… we’re keeping it private!”
It was too late. They were already in front of him. I could see the look on Roman’s face— he looked ready to murder someone. I slapped my hands together, mouthing “Please” over Bianca’s shoulder.
Bianca reached out to him. “I thought Sienna would never find someone, but she outdid herself. I’m her best friend, Bianca.”
Roman didn’t even look at her hand. He lunged forward, grabbed my arm, and dragged me toward a quiet corner. Behind us, I could hear Bianca scolding Simon for drooling over the car.
“What the fuck was that about, Sienna?” he barked once we were alone. “Your boyfriend? Really?”
“I’m sorry!! I swear I’ll do whatever you want, just please act like it!” I pleaded, pressing my palms together.
“Even if it’s for a day, I’ll pay you back I swear it!”
Roman started to say something mean, but then his eyes turned dark. A slow, wicked smirk spread across his face. He stepped closer, pinning me against the wall.
“Anything?” he whispered in my ear.
“Yes,” I breathed. “Anything.”
