Josie's POV

Victor's outburst threw the whole room into a strange, tense quiet.

His eyes, always so cold and unreadable, were full of shock now, and something close to confusion.

"Your face..." Victor muttered, half to himself, taking a step forward without seeming to notice he'd moved.

"Victor!...
