In the afternoon, Michael sent a text. Emma saw it right after getting off work, grabbed her bag, and headed out to catch a ride.

"See you tomorrow, Emma!"

"Bye!"

Smiling, she waved to the colleague saying goodbye. But just as she stepped out of the building, an unexpected scene greeted her.
