Chapter 4
"Bang—"The heavy iron door was roughly kicked open, a cold wind filled the room with the ferocity of a man, Miles Hamilton froze, watching three fierce-looking men dragging a girl like a dead dog, pushing her hard into the room. The girl's mouth was tightly sealed with adhesive tape, tears mixing with fear as she could only let out whimpering sounds of "wuwu," her thin body falling onto the cold concrete ground, twitching all over in pain. The room's deathly silence was broken, as a girl with a pale complexion in the corner curled her lips into a mocking smile, her voice light and floating, as if whispering to the air, or as if deliberately warning: "Here comes another one who's come to die."Miles Hamilton's heart tightened, and he instinctively rushed forward to help the girl up. His fingertips touched her trembling body, and he looked up at the three men, his voice trembling but firm: "Who are you? What do you want with us?"Three men burst into laughter as if they had heard the funniest joke in the world. The man in the middle, with a toothpick in his mouth and a fierce expression, took a step forward, reaching out to pinch Miles Hamilton's face. His tone was menacing and harsh: "What are you doing? From now on, we are your masters! Obey obediently, and you will have good days ahead; dare to resist, and I'll break your legs and throw you to the dogs!"Miles Hamilton jerked his head sharply to dodge, the man's hand missed, his expression instantly darkened, and he raised his hand to strike, but was pulled by someone nearby: "Don't waste time, they're still waiting up there."The man spat fiercely, glared fiercely at Miles Hamilton, and turned to leave with two underlings. The iron gate slammed shut with a bang, causing the walls to tremble slightly and making Miles Hamilton's heart sink to the bottom. She was sheltered by Reed Coleman since she was a child, she had never met such a malicious person, nor had she experienced such a desperate situation. Her face, originally as clean as white paper, was now tinged with gray from fear and unease, the light in her eyes gradually dimming. The girl who had just been pushed in, seized Miles Hamilton's wrist as he removed the tape from her mouth, her eyes full of urgency and determination, her voice barely audible: "Let's escape! If we don't leave now, we'll really be finished!""Escape?" Miles Hamilton repeated the word, his gaze sweeping over the small, damp, windowless room, his heart feeling as if it were being clenched tightly, "There are no windows here, how can we escape?""I can't escape." The pale-faced girl in the corner spoke again, her tone filled with numbness and sarcasm, "None of those who come in here live to leave. Don't waste your effort.""Why?" Miles Hamilton and the girl asked in unison, their eyes full of confusion and resentment. But the pale-faced girl closed her mouth, turned her head, and refused to say another word, as if she had long accepted this hopeless fate. The girl tightly gripped Miles Hamilton's hand, her fingertips cold but with a hint of resilience: "My name is Ye Chuchu, whether I can escape or not, I'm going to try! Better than being here and being cut to pieces!""My name is Miles Hamilton." Miles Hamilton returned her grip, the almost extinguished flame in his heart being reignited by Chuchu's determination. She couldn't die, she still had to go back and save Reed, she had to escape! Two people were huddled in the corner, whispering about how to escape, while the other girls in the room remained numbly curled in the corners, their eyes vacant, like soulless puppets. Only the girl with the yellowish face occasionally glanced at them with a strange look, a faint cold smile playing on her lips, exuding an inexplicable eeriness.Just then, the girl with the yellowish face suddenly spoke, her tone frighteningly calm: "Time's up."Miles Hamilton and Chu Chu's hearts tightened simultaneously, and they asked in unison, "What time is it?""You'll know soon." Just as the pale-faced girl finished speaking, the iron door opened again, and the three men from before walked in once more. Their gazes swept across the room before finally landing on Miles Hamilton and Chu Chu."You two, come out!" The man's tone remained harsh, pointing at them with eyes full of impatience.Chu Chu quietly rubbed Miles Hamilton's palm with her fingers, signaling that she shouldn't be afraid. Miles Hamilton took a deep breath, suppressing the fear in her heart, and followed Chu Chu slowly towards the door. As they passed the girl with the pale face, Miles Hamilton clearly saw the deeper mockery in her eyes, as if she were looking at two fools about to fall into the abyss. The blindfold was put on again, his hands tied behind his back. Miles Hamilton felt himself roughly dragged and thrown into a bumpy car. The roar of the engine and Chu Chu's suppressed crying filled his ears, but soon, Chu Chu's voice disappeared, leaving only the cold seat beside him and the man's heavy breathing. The car traveled for about half an hour before finally stopping. Miles Hamilton was dragged out and pulled into a warm and luxurious place, the air filled with a strong scent of perfume and alcohol, the sound of loud music came into ear, and the seductive laughter of women. Not until the ropes on his hands were untied and the blindfold was removed did Miles Hamilton see what was before him—a spacious room with a dozen or so women standing inside, their clothing so minimal it barely covered their bodies, their faces heavily made up, their eyes vacant, indifferent to Miles Hamilton's arrival, each occupied with their own tasks.Miles Hamilton trembled all over and turned to run, but the man behind him grabbed his wrist and threw him hard to the ground. "Damn it, still trying to run? Do you have a death wish!" The man's furious shouts exploded in his ear, followed by the door slamming shut, leaving him completely trapped in this hell.A woman with a cigarette held between her fingers, dressed provocatively, slowly walked up to her, her hand gently resting on her shoulder, her alluring voice tinged with a hint of scrutiny: "Hmm, this skin, so soft it looks like it could be squeezed for water, seems like another new virgin."Miles Hamilton abruptly pushed her away, his body tense, his eyes filled with rejection and fear: "Don't touch me! What is this place?"The woman smiled and blew out a ring of smoke, the smoke swirling in front of Miles Hamilton, making her cough repeatedly. "This is the Diamond Club, the most expensive place in S City," the woman said, pausing with a hint of warning in her tone. "My name is Jaden Hicks, and you'll be under my supervision from now on. Ezra Holland, get me a change of clothes."A woman in revealing clothing picked up a skirt and tossed it onto Miles Hamilton. Miles Hamilton picked it up and his heart sank instantly—it was a white bikini skirt, so thin it was transparent, so short it could only cover the upper part of the thighs, and any slight movement would reveal everything."Put it on." Jaden Hicks crossed his arms, his tone undeniable.Miles Hamilton clenched the skirt and threw it down fiercely, his eyes stubborn, his voice teary but unusually firm: "I won't change! I want to leave here!"The smile vanished from Jaden Hicks' face, and he stepped directly onto the skirt with a 10-centimeter high heel, grinding it down. His tone was cold: "You think you won't change? Here, it's not up to you. Either change yourself, or I'll have them change you."Miles Hamilton looked at the fierce glint in Jaden Hicks' eyes and then at the numb women around her. The fear in her heart grew stronger, but her innate stubbornness refused to let her submit. She knew that once she put on this dress, she would never go back, never see Reid again.
