Chapter 3 Inks Game 3

Ink

“So who gets first dibs?” Click threw is feet up on my coffee table, the bottle of beer held loosely in his fingers. As always these days Church, the name we gave to the meeting of members of the Lost Reapers MC was more a formality than anything else.

Things had really calmed down after the whole Josh and Stella nightmare of a few years ago. I’d only come in at the end of it and that had been enough.

I was happy for the older guys, the ones who could live happily with their women and ever growing families but god I was bored.

I kicked his feet from the table with a growl. I might be bored but I wasn’t so bored that I wanted to clean his filthy sneaker prints off my glass table.

“Well?” Click met my eyes with a smirk. “You seemed very taken with your new neighbour? Do you think you have a chance?”

Slowly I eyed him up and down. No one had mentioned Molly for the last few hours but we all knew who he was talking about before he had mentioned her name.

I shrugged, tilting the bottle to my lips and sucking down a long sip. “I get the feeling she’s here to rebuild her life. I doubt she here to date.”

“Date?” Dagger scoffed. “Click isn’t talking about dating her. He’s talking about getting her naked and showing her a good time.” His lips quipped up into a grin. “For all of five minutes.”

Phantom snorted out a laugh, Click threw a cushion at the older bikers head. “It would be at least fifteen but I would rock her world. Unlike you old man. When was the last time you even -“

I threw him a look. Warning him with my eyes to shut the fuck up before Dagger lost his temper and pummelled him.

Catching my look, Click threw up his hands. “I just mean. Jesus Dagger I didn’t mean.”

We all knew what he meant, just like we knew he always spoke without thinking. Usually it was fine but not about Dagger and his soon to be ex wife.

That particular wound was still too fresh.

I couldn’t imagine still being in love with someone who had moved on with her life.

“It’s cool.” Thoughtfully he sipped his beer.

One look at his face and I knew it wasn’t cool.

“You guys have at it.” Another sip. “She’s much too young for me anyway.” He grinned. “And may the best man win. But I have to admit my money is on Ink.”

I choked on the beer. Wiping the back of my hand against my suddenly frothy lips. “What?”

“No way.” Click jumped up, a look of indignation on his face. “No way she would choose Ink if I put the effort in. Phantom would have more of a chance and he doesn’t even speak.”

Phantom flipped him off. “I do and can speak. I just don’t have to hear the sound of my own voice teeth four seven like you do.”

I loved every man in this room like they were blood brothers but this was ridiculous. Molly wasn’t a thing. She was a person.

“Are you seriously sitting here and talking about my new neighbour like-“

Phantom and Click answered in unison. “Yeah we are. And don’t act all high and mighty. You’re interested as well. Don’t deny it. Everyone here is interested.”

“I’m not.” Dagger added unhelpfully.

“Well everyone apart from Dagger. There’s three of us and one of her. And I get the impression that she’s not going to be into the kind of thing X and Irish get to have.” He chuckled. “Although the visuals I’m getting right now are hot. Especially after that dildo fell out of the box.” He swept his eyes to me. “Tell me what it-“

“Youre disgusting.” I shook my head.

“And you’re a prude.” He countered. “I’m not saying we ask her to join us for an orgy. I am saying maybe a little competition would spice things up a bit?”

Three sets of eyes swivelled towards him. “What are you talking about?” Dagger asked.

Clicks grin didn’t shift from his face. “Just a friendly bet.”

I swallowed hard. “You want to put money on which one of us gets her into bed first?” Disgust tinged my voice. Standing up I headed towards the sliding door that would take me out onto the balcony.

I needed a smoke. Even though I had mostly quit last year.

“Like I would be so crude.”

I rolled my eyes. Oh he would be. And I wanted to part of it. For one thing I had to live next door to her. If one of my club brothers fucked her and then kicked her too the curb then things would get awkward quick.

“I’m talking about dinner, or a movie or something?”

I had half slid  the door open when he said it. Turning I stared at him. “A date?” I muttered. “Since when do you take women out on dates?”

He shrugged, laughing loudly. “Molly seems the kind of woman you take out before you rail her.”

I rolled my eyes. Fuck he was impossible.

“So whoever gets her to say yes to a date first wins. Who wants to put down a hundred?”

“I’ll do it.” Phantom said quietly.

“I think you are all animals.” Dagger chuckled.

“What about you Ink? Are you in or are you going to admit defeat? I mean you might as well just give me your money now.”

I didn’t answer him at first. Instead I tapped a cigarette out and placed it between my lips without lighting it. I couldn’t help it, my eyes darted to the left. Her balcony was empty but I could see the lights on inside and it made me wonder what she was doing inside?

Probably something mundane and motherly. Maybe she was already asleep?

Maybe she was in her bed and using that long pink thing I had picked up earlier between her legs. I licked my lips at the thought of it.  Images flooded my mind.

I’d never been jealous of an inanimate object before but god I was now and if I was jealous of a vibrator then I sure as hell wouldn’t be able to handle someone like Click having a chance with her.

I turned back to the room. “I’m down for a hundred.” I said quietly, closing the door behind me. “Game on.”
