Chapter 3 Who is Leondra?

I was actually just an ordinary human, married to Alpha Almarjaf due to a misunderstanding, and eventually forced into a marriage against my will.

As time went on, I was able to accept Alpha Almarjaf as my husband, loving him wholeheartedly, even though he was very cold and bluntly asked me to sleep separately.

"Has he really not forgotten his first love?" I said while holding back tears.

I have a magic power. Alpha Almarjaf himself bestowed upon me a magical power. But only a low level.

"Leondra, when are you going to teach me?" I asked nervously.

"Do I look scary?" I was certainly confused as to why Leondra would ask such a question.

From her face, Leondra wasn't scary at all; it was just that I had a bad feeling about her intending to be troublesome.

"No, no. You're not scary at all. It's just that I'm a little uncomfortable with you; I'm going to trouble you about my problem," I replied.

Leondra chuckled; she didn't feel troubled at all.

"I don't mind helping you at all," Leondra said.

"Thank you," I said with a smile.

"It's a good thing you don't have any wolf blood on you," Leondra said to herself.

"How will I teach you tomorrow? What level of magic are you at?" Leondra said.

Henary's face looked discouraged; should she tell Leondra that her witchcraft was equivalent to that of a servant?

"It doesn't matter if your magic is still low; there is still me who will teach you various kinds of knowledge," said Leondra.

"Not like that useless husband of yours, a wife, but instead being taught knowledge like a servant." I was a little annoyed that Leondra was insulting my husband.

"I was originally just an ordinary human; I also did not expect to be able to relate to Alpha Almarjaf." I began to explain to Leondra the beginning of my relationship with Alpha Almarjaf.

"My mother said Father was a mid-level wizard and my mother was an ordinary human like me," I said in a low voice.

"Father was indebted to Alpha Almarjaf's family; at that time, Alpha Almarjaf was required to have a partner if he wanted to become a leader, so I was told to marry Alpha Almarjaf."

Leondra snorted in annoyance, but she still listened to Henary's story.

"At first, I was hesitant, especially since I'm just an ordinary human, and Alpha Almarjaf seemed reluctant to marry me, but eventually he agreed for whatever reason. Father also forbade me to become a witch because when I marry Alpha Almarjaf, it means I have to become like him."

"Stupid wolf!" Leondra said to herself.

"Is it possible that your husband already has a woman he loves?" Leondra asked.

"It's possible," I replied.

"But if he's still in love with his first love, why would he want to marry me? I'm only human; he can reject me easily," she continued.

"Of course, there's something; you just don't know," Leondra replied.

"What do you mean?" I asked curiously.

"Wolves will always be loyal to their mates if that mate is destined for them. However, if it is due to coercion or certain advantages, they will not let their feelings dictate their actions. Besides being loyal, they are also very cunning," Leondra explained with a chuckle.

"Really?" I said in a low voice.

"Want me to tell you a secret? I know a little about you, but believe it or not, it's your right."

I was certainly curious; did Leondra know something that I didn't?

"You are very special, Henary. Apart from the fact that you were born from the descendants of a witch, your mother was also once a pure girl who was targeted by many from various circles," Leondra said.

"Your mother intended to marry an ordinary human, but your father did everything he could to marry your mother. Your father is not a mid-level witch; he's the leader of the witches." I was surprised by Leondra's words.

I was hesitant to believe; it was clear that her father was only a mid-level witch, and where did Leondra herself know about her parents?

"I know you're hesitant to believe what I'm saying; that's your right. If only your parents were still alive, you could ask them," she said with a chuckle.

"How could you possibly know about my parents? You don't seem to be much older than me. Did someone else tell you?" I obviously doubted Leondra because I didn't think we were that far apart in age.

Leondra laughed, but there was no way she could have told Henary that she had lived for 700 years.

"I got that information from my parents. They used to be close friends," Leondra replied.

"Our parents were close friends?" I asked for confirmation.

"Leondra, are you a common traveler? You don't seem to be an ordinary human either? Who are you really?" She continued.

"I will tell you, who am I? But you don't tell anyone," said Leondra, which was immediately obeyed by me.

"Actually, I'm also a descendant of a witch just like you; that's why I helped you," Leondra whispered while chuckling.

I was certainly surprised; Leondra is a witch. No wonder Leondra wasn't afraid of Alpha Almarjaf.

"How could I be afraid of that bastard wolf?" Leondra said with annoyance.

"I guess witches don't hate wolves. Especially with Alpha Almarjaf, they have a lot of respect." I was still surprised by Leondra.

"But you look different; you look like an enemy. Do you hate Alpha Almarjaf because of me?" Henary asked while looking Leondra straight in the eye.

"What else do you think I hate him for? He has wasted a woman as good as you, and he accuses you without clear evidence; of course, he is not worthy of being a leader. I don't think he has any common sense," she said with annoyance.

"Maybe Alpha Almarjaf doesn't know the truth about me yet," I said quietly.

"One of those stupid people, because it's easily influenced. That's stupid and unfit to be a leader!" grumbled Leondra.

"You seem to have a long-standing feud with Alpha Almarjaf," I said as I shook my head.

Because I saw Leondra's face as she held back her emotions, and also always looked down on Alpha Almarjaf.

"Indeed, I have been enemies with him for a very long time. Even before we were born, our ancestors were enemies." Leondra said to herself.

"Plus, I have to deal with him again because of you," she continued.

Leondra wouldn't be upset if it was someone else who married Henary, as long as it wasn't a Wolf. Fortunately, Henary hadn't been touched yet, so Leondra didn't get too emotional.
