Chapter 6: My Aud

Milos's POV

Yesterday

FUCK!

What the hell did I just hear? This damnable woman, writhing beneath me, yet calling out another man's name.

Daniel? Some pretty-boy con artist who'd been stringing her along, who'd gotten tangled up with Lyanna, all while keeping my Audrey in the dark.

Damn it! I wanted nothing more than to put a bullet through that philandering bastard's skull.

"Daniel..."

A flush rose across Audrey's perfect features, and I knew the drug was taking effect—the very drug that Lyanna and Daniel had slipped into her drink. The thought of what they'd originally planned made rage surge through me, hot and uncontrollable.

I leaned down, my hips never ceasing their rhythm, thrusting even harder now, wanting to bury myself so deep inside her that she'd forget anyone else had ever existed.

"Aud," I murmured, my voice thick with emotion, "I need you to see clearly—to know exactly who's fucking you right now."

The woman beneath me responded, her body tightening around me until I couldn't suppress a groan. Audrey was coming back to consciousness, her expression shifting to one of shock. Shock at what, exactly? That the man inside her was me?

A fresh wave of anger swept through me, and my voice came out rough and hoarse. "Surprised, are you? Aud, who did you think would be in your hotel room? Daniel? That coward didn't even put up a fight—I made a few threats, and he handed you over to me like you were nothing."

I drove into her hard, and Audrey moaned with pleasure, the sound so exquisite it sent shivers down my spine.

I quickened my pace, desperate to give her more pleasure, to hear her cry out louder. When I took her from behind, her body swayed with each thrust, and God, I loved watching that.

The thought that if I hadn't arrived in time, she'd be writhing beneath some other man, finding her release with someone else—it unleashed something dark and possessive in me.

"Aud, can you feel it? Your body and mine—we're perfect together."

"As for Daniel, you'd better stop fantasizing about him. We're going to get married, and then I'm going to fuck you until you can't leave the bed. We'll have children—I want daughters, little angels just like you."

That last part I whispered so quietly that Audrey, lost in the haze of desire, clearly didn't hear me. I flipped her over and captured her lips with mine. They felt like silk, and her tongue tasted sweet. She was like opium—once you had a taste, there was no going back.

What made my heart race even faster was when she actively wrapped her arms around me and kissed me back. The sensation drove me wild, my hips pistoning faster, pleasure shooting through every nerve.

An hour later, I held Audrey close, greedily breathing in her scent, but she resisted my touch, trying to pull away.

I threatened her then—told her that if she refused to marry me, I'd break her legs and lock her away on some remote island, or perhaps I'd make sure Daniel and his accomplice became genuinely insane patients in that psychiatric facility.

Audrey seemed frightened. She agreed to my terms.

"Milos, I'll marry you. But before that, you need to take me to see Daniel and the others."

So she was only agreeing to marry me because of Daniel?

The realization sent a sharp pain through my chest, yet the words that came out of my mouth were even more vicious. "You've agreed to this yourself. Don't come crying to me when you see what's become of him."

Later, I took Audrey to the psychiatric hospital to see Daniel and Lyanna. I'd expected her to beg me to release them, but instead, Audrey drove a knife through Daniel's calf herself, then had the doctors use electroshock therapy on both of them before ordering the word "Fornicators" tattooed across their faces.

I watched her back intently, wondering—did Audrey know about their betrayal? Was this her revenge against those two pieces of trash?

That suspicion lasted only until Audrey asked me to release them. Then I understood.

Audrey, you still can't forget him, can you?

Retreating to advance—it was all a strategy to make me let them go. I stared at her, fury burning in my chest, yet I couldn't bring myself to hurt her. Shamefully, I even used this opportunity to push for our marriage.

She agreed, but why did my heart feel so bitter?

I took her to see the priest. The arrangements were hasty—I could only use the couple's rings I'd prepared long ago as our wedding bands. After we exchanged vows, I slipped the ring onto Audrey's finger.

Her smile was radiant, and watching her, I felt utterly fulfilled. My Aud—we were married now.

She initiated a kiss, and I felt as though my soul had ascended, an electric current racing through my entire body. Just as I moved to deepen the kiss, Audrey pulled away. Some irritating phone call required her attention, apparently.

She asked me to wait in the car while she took the call. What kind of phone call couldn't a wife take in front of her husband? My possessiveness flared again, and I grabbed her arm. "Wifey, my little deceiver, you'd better not be thinking about other men, because if you are..."

"I'll kill him. I'll make sure you belong only to me, forever."

Audrey merely smiled and kissed my cheek, as though she were simply humoring me. I watched her walk away, and William approached, asking whether we should proceed with the original arrangements—the candlelit dinner and custom wedding ring order.

"No need," I told him.

William warned me to be careful of Daniel's schemes and Audrey's fickle heart. His words irritated me, and I told him to shut up, though I had to admit there was some truth to what he said. Daniel was a despicable man who would undoubtedly try to seduce my wife, and Audrey—she was too innocent, too easily fooled.

But then Audrey seemed to have overheard our conversation and came to explain herself. She said many things, but my attention was fixed entirely on her moist lips. God, I wanted to kiss her.

So she'd let Daniel go because she was worried about me? My wife admitted it, but only because I was her husband now.

I loved hearing her call me "hubby," but what I really wanted was for her to worry about me not because of our marital status, but because she loved me.

Halfway home, an urgent matter at the company demanded my attention. I had no choice but to drop Audrey off at home and return to handle the crisis. By the time I finished dealing with everything, it was already one in the morning.

On the drive back, I asked William, "How is the lady adjusting to the new house?"

William relayed Linda's report—Audrey had gone to bed at eleven.

When I entered the master bedroom, I quickly took a hot shower, then gathered Audrey into my arms. She shifted uncomfortably in her sleep, her movements causing an immediate physical reaction that strained against my self-control.

I took a deep breath and kissed the top of her head helplessly. "You heartless little thing, trying to drive your husband crazy with lust on our wedding night?"

But Audrey remained deeply asleep, and I couldn't bear to wake her and exhaust her again. I held her close, finding release through friction alone, and then drifted off to sleep.

Today

The next morning, I woke at my usual seven o'clock. I had an important partnership meeting that morning. Before leaving, I kissed Audrey's forehead and instructed Linda not to follow my meal preferences anymore—she and all the other servants should take orders from Audrey now.

Afternoon, Audrey called asking for skilled bodyguards. She wanted to return to her worthless father's house. I agreed immediately.

Just as Audrey had said, I was her husband—my assets and my people were hers to command as she wished.

After hanging up, I told William to arrange for fourteen bodyguards. As William turned to carry out the order, I called him back. "Wait, William. You go protect Audrey as well. I want her unharmed by the time I get there."

William looked surprised but chose to obey.

I quickly finalized the partnership contract, then headed to the garage where a modified supercar waited—silver body, sleek lines, something I knew Audrey would love.

When I pulled up outside Beverly Hills and saw Audrey emerge, my mood lifted instantly. Mimicking those college boys who used to show off for their crushes, I called out to the woman I loved, "Wifey, would you care to go on a date with me?"
