Chapter 4

KIARA POV

Finally, it was the day of my wedding, and the sounds of preparation were everywhere, and some guests had begun to arrive.

"Kiara, quickly go have your bath, you know we are already behind time," Sophie let out.

"Okay, I'm going."

I had my bath and came out, Sophie had already brought the dress in, and the dress was breathtaking.

She helped her into the exquisite gown, carefully securing each button of the dress."You look gorgeous, Kiara."

My eyes sparkled as I saw myself in the mirror. "Thank you, Sophie, the dress is perfect."

I honestly never cared about the dress I would wear, but wow, the dress was beautiful, it completely flattered my petite figure perfectly. Sophie really must have gone beyond to get this dress.

We spent a few minutes on the makeup, and then it was time to wear the jewelry.

"I can't wait for you to see the necklace, Kiara," Sophie voiced out as she walked towards me with the box and guided me to sit down.

She wore the necklace around me, and it was stunning, it was a golden necklace, and it complemented my eyes perfectly well.

Sophie then clasped the earrings. "Now you are ready, my love."

"Thank you, Sophie, for everything," I said while letting out a soft laugh.

"Anything for you sis, I will seriously miss your Kiara. Don't forget to call me, okay?" she whispered as she hugged me.

"I won't, Sophie." I hugged her back.

"Okay, that's enough with the emotional stuff for now, it's you and your husband to have a special day, so I can't keep you all to myself," she said as she held my hands and brought me to the entrance of the hall.

As I stand before the door leading to the hall and the altar, various thoughts rush into my head.

Will I be able to succeed in this mission? I wonder what the man I'm going to marry will treat me like. I just hope he's not an annoying person.

The doors of the hall opened, and there I saw my father with his hands stretched out to hold mine, as I held him, the music began to play, and we slowly began to walk towards the altar.

I saw lots of familiar and unfamiliar faces as I walked, my fellow Blades and the Darkwood Society members, as we kept on walking, my father whispered into my ears.

"Never forget your mission, Kiara, don't be distracted by that man you will call husband soon, always remember where your loyalty is, now smile dear, they are looking at you."

I smiled as though it were sweet words he told me, and we continued down the aisle, and then we got to the altar.

And again, I was stunned at how Xander, my soon-to-be husband, was looking so dashing with his slick black hair, dark blue suit, and emerald brooch that complemented his eyes perfectly.

He once again noticed my stunned face and then smirked, quickly bringing me back to reality.

My father left my side, and then the priest began reciting the sacred text, and then the main question was asked.

"Do you, Kiara Blade, daughter of Leo Blade, take this man Xander as your lawfully wedded husband?"

Brief silence occurred, then I answered.

"Yes, I do."

Then he asked Xander.

"Do you, Xander Darkwood, leader of the Darkwood Society, take this woman, Kiara, as your lawfully wedded wife?"

"Yes, I definitely do," he answered with that annoying smirk on his face.

"I now proclaim you husband and wife, you may  kiss the bride."

Xander grabbed me, brushing his mouth against mine, sinking his lips into mine, guiding my lips to move with his. As he slid his hands down my waist, our kiss deepened, and I was drowning in his mouth. It felt as though he had longed for this kiss.

As he separated his lips from mine, he bit me at the tip of my mouth and whispered softly. "Finally, you're mine now, little princess."

I was breathless as he still held my waist, we both faced the crowd, and I let out a soft smile, and we both walked down the aisle with people cheering and throwing flowers at us.

The wedding party continued, and my new husband and I had to greet some leaders before making our way back to his place.

"Do take care of my daughter, Xander," my father said as he approached us.

"Of course I will, sir, she is now my wife," he replied with a grin on his face.

Knowing my father, I noticed how he was irritated by Xander's response to him, but he quickly brushed it off his face and then faced me.

"Kiara, be a good wife to him, okay?"

"I will, father," I answered with a fake smile.

He hugged me and then left our side. We continued making our way to other people to greet, and before I noticed, the wedding came to an end.

I said my final goodbyes to my Dad and elder sister, Sophie.

Sophie cried slowly as she hugged me. "I will miss you a lot Kiara, just be happy, okay."

"I will miss you too, Sophie, and I will definitely be happy," I said while hugging her back.

I left her and walked towards a black car, where Xander stood by, holding the door open for me.

"Are you sure you have said your goodbyes completely, little princess?"

"Yes I'm sure, and don't call me little princess." I scoffed as I entered the car.

As we left the site, I looked back, seeing my sister still crying, and I will truly miss her.

There was total silence as Xander drove. A few minutes into the drive, I noticed the Darkwood Society main building. Finally, we had arrived, or so I thought.

He drove past there to my surprise, and I quickly asked.

"Are we not supposed to stop here, Xander?"

"Of course not, little princess, you don't think we would have our honeymoon in a place like that now, dear."

"So where are we going then?" I asked curiously.

He looked at me and smiled, "Somewhere where it's just going to be the two of us, little princess."
