Chapter 5

KIARA POV

It took about an hour for us to get to this mysterious location, which I know nothing about. It was a little villa along the oceanside, and it was actually really peaceful.

Now I see why he said somewhere with just us two, because this place was dead silent, nothing to hear except the sound of waves in the ocean.

We parked in front of the house, and then the silence broke again.

"So, little princess, do you like it?" Xander asked as he faced me.

Honestly, the place was perfect, the villa and the view were just warm and welcoming, but there is no way I'm going to admit to that in front of him.

"Well, it's okay, I guess," I uttered.

He let out a light laugh, and then he smirked again. Ahh! I seriously hated it when he did that. It was like he saw me as a little girl.

He got out of the car and then came towards my side to get it open for me. At Least he has been behaving as a proper gentleman since I got married to him.

"I want to hear your reply again once you have seen the inside." He handed the keys down to me and then went to package my luggage.

Why does he think I would even change my reply, huh?

I walked down towards the front door of the villa, leaving him to carry the luggage since they were not that much. As I opened the door, I was utterly astonished at how beautiful the place was.

The house was painted royal blue with touches of gold. It had well-furnished chairs, and the tiles must have honestly cost a fortune. I walked forward and went around the house. It had two large pools, one on the inside and one outside, like, just why would a house need two large pools, as if one is not enough?

I get that he is the leader of Darkwood, but is he not just wasting money carelessly at this point?

The house was truly beautiful, and I can't deny it.

Xander finally brought all the luggage into the house.

"So, what do you think now, little princess?" I carried my feet and walked up the stairs.

"Drop me down, Xander." I struggle to get down, but this man is seriously strong.

"Okay, it is beautiful, but don't you think you did a little too much, Xander? It's just for the honeymoon, it's not like this is the house we will be living in from now on," I said as I accepted being in his arms.

"No, I don't think it's too much, little princess." He let out a soft laugh.

He really looked handsome while he smiled. I much preferred it to his annoying smirk. He was handsome either way, but that smirk just pisses me off for no reason.

We got to where the room was, and to my surprise, it was only one room, like, come on, they had the money to build two massive pools, but could not build an extra room.

I was pretty sure this man totally planned it. I looked at him suspiciously and smirked, avoiding my stare.

Yeah, he definitely planned this. This man definitely knows what he's doing.

"Xander, why is there only one bedroom in this house, huh?" I asked.

"Don't tell me you were expecting two now, my dear, we are married now, so why exactly would we need two rooms, huh?"

He dropped me down and then opened the room door, and oh my, was the room large, the bed was so big, and I still wonder why it was one large room.

"Just so you know, even after this honeymoon, I don't intend to stay in a different room from my dear wife."

If only he knew the main reason why I got married to him, he certainly wouldn't be saying all these to me, oh well, staying in the same room makes my job easier.

"Just get yourself relaxed and then come downstairs." He said as he left and closed the doors.

Immediately, I sat on the bed and just lay there for a while, then I heard my phone ringing, checked who it was, and saw it was Sophie.

"Hey Kiara, have you arrived at your destination yet?" She asked immediately as I picked up the call.

"Yes, I have Sophie, but should you not ask if I'm doing alright first, huh?"

"I know you are perfectly fine, dear, I actually just wanted to tell you I left my wedding gift for you in the small pink luggage, it should certainly help you tonight," she sneakily uttered.

"Sophie, what did you do?"

"Nothing, honestly, you will love it, well, goodnight then, hope you enjoy your first night with your husband." She laughed and then cut the call.

"Honestly, what did she put in the pink box?" I thought to myself as I walked towards it and then opened it up.

Omg it was two different pairs of lingerie, a red one and a black one. I can't believe this girl. Why would she even give this as a wedding gift?

"Sophie, you are something," I laughed.

I then closed the box back and went to have my bath. After the bath, I decided to wear the red lingerie and tie a robe to cover myself and make my way downstairs.

And to my surprise, Xander had just finished cooking and was serving the food, and oh my, did he make the serving of food look so hot.

"I didn't know you could cook." Sitting down in the dining seat, I voiced.

"Well, you don't know much about me, little princess," he replied as he also took his seat directly beside me.

"Thank you for the meal," I said, and then I began eating.

"So little princess, what do you do for fun?" he asked as he began eating too.

"Nothing much really, but I do love swimming and skydiving a lot, and what about you?" I continued eating my food as I asked.

"I love playing the piano, swimming and…" he drew closer and then licked the stain of food off the side of my lips.

"And of course, looking at my gorgeous wife." He smiled softly.

I couldn't help but blush, so I just faced my food, he didn't move from that spot, and just kept watching me until I was done.

I finished my meal and was about to get up, and then he suddenly dragged me to his chair and carried me up on his lap.

"Now, where do you think you're going, huh? I patiently waited for you to be done with your meal, so it's time for mine," He whispered in my ear, gliding his hands up my legs.
