Chapter 3

The Norfolk Nightclub is the largest entertainment venue in the Demon Realm. It has powerful backers, so basically, no one dares to mess with it.

When Burke Woolley first arrived in the Demon Realm, he couldn’t find Marian White for a while. So, he went into the Norfolk Nightclub, hoping to relax a little.

The messy environment and the blinding lights made Burke Woolley feel a bit irritable. He found a seat to sit down at and ordered a bottle of vodka. The pleasure brought by the strong alcohol allowed Burke Woolley to feel relaxed for the first time in ages.

Since becoming the Holy Son, he had been constantly concerned about the development of the Holy Temple. It had been a long time since he’d been alone like this.

After Burk Woolley finished his drink and was about to close his eyes and rest for a while, he heard flattery coming from outside the door: “Young Master Evan has arrived. Please welcome him in.”

Phoebe Evan is the eldest son of the Evan family, one of the four major families in the Magic Realm. Relying on his father’s power, he engages in all kinds of misdeeds everywhere.

Burke Woolley completely ignored him. In his eyes, people like him were nothing but insignificant figures.

There’s a rule at the Norfolk nightclub: the girls there serve drinks, but don’t engage in sexual activities. Anyone who breaks this rule will be told to leave immediately.

Phoebe Evan simply refused to believe such nonsense. Relying on her father’s influence, she considered all rules to be meaningless. Besides, it was the Evan family that funded the Norfolk nightclub behind the scenes. Given the Evan family’s immense wealth and power, everyone treated Phoebe Evan with great respect.

“Bring me the prettiest girl you’ve got here,” Phoebe Evan said drunkenly to Mona Mini, the manager of the Norfolk nightclub.

“Young Master Evan, I’m the most beautiful one here. What do you think of me?” Mona Mini said coquettishly.

Phoebe Evan glanced at Mona Minnie’s full breasts and said with a lecherous look, “Can I spend the night here?”

“At our Norfolk nightclub, we have rules: we only sell entertainment, not bodies.”

“Who the hell made this rule? It doesn’t mean anything to me. If I take a liking to you, that’s your good luck…”

Mona Mini was also a veteran in such matters. She knew full well that a spoiled brat like Phoebe Evan couldn’t be trifled with. So, she greeted him with a smile, saying, “It’s a great fortune for me that Young Master Evan has taken a liking to me. But I’m not feeling well today. I’ll serve you properly another day.”

“That’s actually something that sounds like human speech.”

“Young Master Evan, please wait a moment. I’ll go find the prettiest girl to keep you company.” Mona Mini stood up, her expression immediately darkening. In her heart, she cursed Phoebe Evan’s entire family.

After a while, Mona Mini brought Sydney, the top dancer from the Norfolk nightclub, over to Phoebe Evan. Phoebe Evan was already quite drunk by then. He narrowed his eyes and took in Sydney’s figure—the curvy, attractive shape that instantly aroused his lust.

“Young Master Evan, I’ve brought the person you wanted. You…”

“Enough, it’s none of your business. Get lost.” Before Mona Mini could finish speaking, Phoebe Evan pulled Sydney into her arms.

Mona Mini’s face turned bright red with anger, but she had no choice but to leave in silence. At that moment, she thought to herself that if one day the four great families were destroyed, she would definitely use Phoebe Evan’s head as a football to kick around.

Phoebe Evan’s greedy hands kept roaming over Sydney’s body. Sydney tried to get away again and again, but this only made Phoebe Evan even more aroused. He pinned Sydney down and roughly tore off the thin clothes covering her chest. Her fair skin was exposed to the air without any restraint.

Sydney cried out helplessly, begging, “Young Master Evan, please, let me go.”

“You damn bitch want to act like a decent person while actually being a whore? I really do think highly of you.” Phoebe Evan acted like a wild animal in heat, ready to strip Sydney of her last piece of clothing. Sydney managed to break free from Phoebe Evan’s grasp and stumbled over to Burke Woolley, who was closing his eyes.

“Damn you, you bitch! Bring him back to me immediately. I’ll deal with her right in front of you all.” Phoebe Evan screamed arrogantly, while her lackeys approached Burke Woolley with sinister looks on their faces.

“Big brother, please, save me…” Sydney shook Burke Woolley’s arm, crying softly.

Although Burke Woolley wasn’t exactly a hero who would stand up for justice, he considered anyone who used their power to bully others as someone who deserved to be killed. In his eyes, the fewer of such people there were, the better.

Buck Woolley kept his eyes tightly closed, remaining completely motionless, while Phoebe Evan’s men had already approached Sydney.

“You wretched bitch, how dare you run away? Let’s see where you think you can go.” With that, a guy with yellow hair grabbed Xue Li by the shoulder, ready to take her away.

Sydney’s helpless pleas seemed so pitiful at that moment.

The lively atmosphere in the Norfolk nightclub was completely shattered by this sudden incident. Everyone’s gaze was fixed on Sydney, yet no one dared to step forward to help.

“Young Master Evan, do you really need to make such a big deal out of this? How will you explain this to Miss White later?”

“Why should I report my actions to Marian White? Who does she think she is?” Phoebe Evan snapped.

Marian White’s name reached Burke Woolley’s ears. He suddenly opened his eyes. Could it be that the owner of this Norfolk nightclub was Marian White?

Huang Mao grabbed Xue Li’s arm, but suddenly felt a sharp pain. The pain spread from his arm throughout his body. Huang Mao let out a scream, causing everyone around to turn around in shock.

When Sydney saw Burke Woolley take action, it was as though she saw a savior. She quickly hid behind him.

“You brat, I warn you, stay out of this.”

“You’ve disturbed my sleep,” Burke Woolley said in a calm tone. Yet, the authority in his voice made those thugs tremble with fear.

Phoebe Evan’s subordinates looked at each other, then turned to Phoebe Evan and said, “Young Master Evan, this…”

“What the hell are you standing around for? Bring him here now.”

Phoebe Evan, seeing that they made no move, went over herself. When she saw that the blond guy’s arm was disabled, her face twisted with rage as she glared at Burke Woolley. “Who the hell do you think you are? How dare you meddle in my business? Want to see me chop you up and feed you to the dogs?”

“Slap! Slap! Slap!” No one had time to react before three loud slaps were landed on Phoebe Evan’s face.

“If you dare hit me, kill him on the spot,” Phoebe Evan ordered. Immediately, over thirty strong men armed with machetes rushed in from outside the door.

“Kill him, and each person will be rewarded with ten thousand yuan.”

In Burke Woolley’s eyes, these people were nothing but fools who had come to seek their deaths. He sat there, unmoving. The moment more than thirty machetes were swung down at his head, they shattered into pieces of metal. Before those men could even react, Burke Woolley acted swiftly. In an instant, the arms of more than thirty men were pierced by their own bones. The bare bones, protruding through flesh and skin, glowed in a terrifying manner.

Everyone in the Norfolk nightclub was completely terrified. What exactly had happened? Over thirty people suffered fractures in an instant.

Xue Li was completely stunned by what she saw. Was the man standing in front of her really a human being, or perhaps a god?

Phoebe Evan’s face was swollen like a pig’s head. Pointing at Burke Woolley, she said tremulously, “Don’t come near me! If you dare to hurt me, I’ll make sure you never get a proper burial.”

“With those words of yours, you deserve to die.”

As he spoke, Burke Woolley leaped forward and kicked Phoebe Evan to the ground. He then stepped on her face with one foot. With just a little more pressure from Burke Woolley, Phoebe Evan’s head would explode like a watermelon.

“No, please! If you kill him, our Norfolk nightclub will be ruined.” Seeing that Burke Woolley was about to step on him, Mona Mini rushed forward to stop him.

Burke Woolley thought for a moment and decided that Mona Minnie made sense. If the shop belonged to Marian White, killing Phoebe Evan would only bring her trouble.

“Hahaha, what can you do to me anyway?”

“Click!”

“Ah!” Burke Woolley stepped on Phoebe Evan’s arm. A crisp crack echoed through the air, along with Phoebe Evan’s screams of pain.

“Get lost, I’ll spare your life.” Burke Woolley kicked Phoebe Evan aside, as if she were a dead dog.

“Just wait for me. I’ll bring people to tear down the Norfolk Nightclub and kill you, you bastard.”

Phoebe Evan screamed as she fled in panic.

After Phoebe Evan left, Mona Mini said to Burke Woolley in a somewhat reproachful tone, “I don’t care how good a fighter you are, but you’ve caused us a huge problem.”

Buck Woolley didn’t care at all. He stared straight at Mona Minnie and said, “What do you mean, ‘what kind of way’?”

"You..."

“Minnie, this big brother also acted to save me. He really meant well…”

Before Sydney could finish speaking, Mona Mini slapped her across the face. “It’s all your fault, you wretched woman! What does it matter if Phoebe Evan does it instead? Now, see how you’re going to explain this to Miss White.”

Burke Woolley’s expression darkened. He thought Mona Mini was a woman with deep scheming skills and not easy to deal with.

“Please don’t make things difficult for her either. I’ll stay and do my job, protecting you all.”

“Being able to fight is no big deal, you…”

“Miss White, you’re back.” Before Mona Mini could finish speaking, she heard someone at the door. Turning around, she saw a tall woman with a beautiful face and long, black hair approaching.

“Miss White.”

“What’s going on?” Marian White asked, puzzled, as she looked at the thirty-odd people lying on the ground, wailing in pain. The entire store was in a complete mess.

“Phoebe Evan led a group of people to cause trouble. Those people were all beaten by that big guy,” Sydney cried out.

Marian White glanced at Burke Woolley and felt that he was no ordinary man, possessing an air of royalty about him.

“Are you Marian White?” Burke Woolley asked calmly.

“Yes.”

“From now on, I belong to you. I’ll protect you for life.”

“With you…” Mona Mini said disdainfully.

Looking at the more than thirty bones scattered on the ground, all broken as a result of the attacks, Marian White thought to herself that this man had the strength to protect her for life and help her fulfill her lifelong dreams.

“Then go to work tomorrow. The store’s losses will be deducted from your salary.”

“Okay!” Burke Woolley nodded indifferently.

From the moment Burke Woolley saw Marian White, he wondered what his master meant by asking him to take care of Marian White for her entire life and help her fulfill her dreams.

“Miss White, are you really going to accept him like this? What will Lord Evan say about it?”

“My rules! If even Phoebe Evan dares to break them, then shouldn’t the Evan family give me an explanation as well?”

“But…”

“Stop talking. Tomorrow, I’ll go to Xiler Finance in person to explain things to Lord Liu. Young Master Kainan.”
