My chest tightens at the way he is glaring at me but I won’t let him blame me for something I didn’t do. “I am not my father!” I rasp. 

His fingers tighten again, tilting my head back, forcing me to face him completely. “Maybe not,” he murmurs. “But you carry his name. His scent. His legacy.”
