Introduction
Chapter 1
Hannah Balsam met with Grandpa for lunch after her graduation. He proposed that she marry Martin Wright's grandson, Darrian. She told him that she had just graduated and needed to start her career. He looked at her and said, "Pet, you don't need to worry about money. Your grandfather has more than enough for you to spend in ten lifetimes. My friend Marty's business needs a boost, and if our two grandchildren were to marry, we would become business associates and family for life." She told her grandfather, "No, thank you." Then he gave her the ultimatum. "Hannah, you will marry Darrian, or I will leave your inheritance to your stepsister." Hannah was furious. She remembered that her stepmother had married her dad for the family's wealth. She agreed to the marriage instantly, and the two grandfathers arranged the wedding.
Grandpa Sam did not hesitate to call his best friend, Martin, and tell him, "Done deal." They arranged the marriage for the following Saturday. She stood at the altar by herself, and Darrian's grandfather, Martin, signed the marriage certificate on his behalf. He claimed his grandson had been called away to Athens on an emergency business trip that day. She continued to live in her college apartment and never met her husband. After two years, her grandfather died suddenly of a heart attack. She claimed her inheritance and asked for a divorce. Her father could no longer manage the company since it was entrusted to her. She became the CEO by demanding that her dad give up the leadership position. She did not discuss her sacrificial marriage, as he wouldn't have been concerned for her. He complied without hesitation since the company belonged to her anyway. Taking over the family business made her vindictive stepmother, Chelsea, angry, and she vowed to bring Hannah down as soon as an opportunity presented itself.
Hannah requested a divorce, and the day of the divorce arrived quickly. After signing the documents, she felt exonerated. She decided it was a day for revenge. Hannah was going to get drunk and consummate the marriage she never had. She was willing to give up her virginity to celebrate her freedom. She would have sex with the first man who presented himself to her, taking vengeance on that wicked man who had never shown up for his own wedding or the divorce.
Hannah recognised Darrian immediately as she entered the bar. She saw him look her way and knew the opportunity was within her grasp. Although she had never planned to have sex with him specifically, it appeared as if the gods were toying with the two of them, forcing an encounter.
Darrian sat at the bar, nursing his whiskey, thoughts of work swirling in his mind. As the CEO of a successful company and a celebrated sports star, the pressure never seemed to let up. He needed an escape, just for a moment. His eyes wandered around the dimly lit room, searching for something to distract him. And then he saw her, an attractive young woman sitting alone at a table near the corner. Her dark hair cascaded over her shoulders, and her eyes sparkled with a hint of mischief.
His curiosity piqued, Darrian approached her. He sauntered over, his heart pounding slightly, and pulled out the empty chair across from her. "Mind if I join you?" he asked with a warm smile. The young woman's eyes flicked up, surprise evident on her face. "Sure, why not?" she replied, a coy smile on her lips. As they started talking, Darrian learned that her name was Hannah. She was an aspiring artist, full of dreams and passion for her craft as a luxury car designer. The more they spoke, the more Darrian was drawn to her energy and enthusiasm.
Hours passed like minutes as they delved into conversations about life, love, and the pursuit of happiness. Darrian hadn't felt this alive and engaged in a long time. Hannah's mere presence seemed to ignite a spark within him that he had thought was long gone. But as the night wore on, Darrian couldn't ignore the nagging feeling that there was something familiar about Hannah. Her laughter and the way she tilted her head when she listened intently tugged at his memory, though he couldn't quite place it.
As the clock struck midnight, signalling the bar's closing, Darrian reluctantly glanced at his watch. "I should be going," he said, his voice tinged with disappointment. Hannah nodded, a hint of sadness in her eyes. "It was nice meeting you, Darrian." He hesitated for a moment, then asked, "Would you like to have a meal with me?" She smiled and replied, "I'd like that." "Let's go." He placed his coat around her shoulders and called his chauffeur.
A feeling of excitement bubbled up within him. He stood and walked them out into the cool night air, thoughts of what the evening would bring lingering in his mind. He couldn't shake the thought that he had met Hannah somewhere before. His curiosity grew, urging him to uncover the mystery surrounding this captivating woman. He couldn't wait to get her alone. He asked her to accompany him to his penthouse, where he would order room service. To his delight, she readily agreed. The anticipation built as Darrian mentally prepared for the encounter that was yet to come.
They exited the limousine, entered the penthouse lobby, and rode the elevator upward. They exchanged pleasantries as they ascended, and he was enamoured of her smile, which seemed to illuminate the space around them. Their conversation flowed effortlessly. By the time they reached the penthouse, the meal had already been laid on the table. The wine flowed as the night wore on, and their connection deepened. Darrian found himself wholly enthralled by Hannah's presence.
The magnetic pull between them was undeniable, and the world faded away as they laughed, shared secrets, and bared their souls. This was unlike anything Darrian had ever felt with anyone, a feeling of peace and undeniable attraction.
The energy sizzled with intensity. Darrian leaned in and kissed her, a gentle yet fiery exchange that left them both craving more. With an unspoken understanding, Darrian led Hannah into his dimly lit bedroom, which cast a warm, inviting glow. Time stood still as they explored each other's bodies, a mixture of vulnerability and passion fuelling their every touch. Hannah was pleased with the extreme expertise. Darrian did not lack practice in this area. Soon, he was kissing her all over her body. He loved her breasts. He had been with many women, but by far, Hannah had the most gorgeous peaks he had ever held. He caressed her nipples and heard her moans. His hands roved all over her body, exploring every curve and crevice. She moaned with pleasure as his tongue found her most sensitive spot, working it until she felt a rush of warmth pooling inside her, causing a heaviness and ache she had never experienced before. She wanted him there as she twisted and moved her body to the rhythm he was coaxing from her. Finally, he undressed completely, and when he knew she was ready, he thrust himself inside her. Then he met resistance; a barrier was preventing him from entering fully. He pulled back. "What the hell, are you a virgin?" Tears of pain mixed with pleasure filled her eyes as she admitted it. He asked her if they should wait. She told him, "No. Tonight is the night!" She cried out when he entered her. The initial pain receded, followed by exquisite pleasure. She rotated her hips and moved her body to follow his rhythm, pulling him closer to feel all of him inside her. She was insatiable. As she climaxed, she shouted, "More, Darrian! More!"
As the night carried on, their breathy moans of pleasure echoed through the room as their bodies intertwined in a dance of longing and desire. In the depths of their embrace, Darrian felt a connection that surpassed the physical, as if their souls had recognised each other from the moment they met.
In the early morning, as dawn peeked through the window, Darrian held Hannah in his arms, their bodies tangled together. The world outside might have been waking up, but their universe was complete. As sleep washed over them, Darrian drifted off with a sense of contentment and wonder. He couldn't deny the impact Hannah had already made on his life. Unravelling the mystery of their connection would have to wait for another day.
Little did he know that their paths would diverge again, leading him down unexpected roads and forcing them both to confront secrets they held deep within.
