I found the coin while looking for something else entirely. It was buried in the bottom drawer of my nightstand under a tangle of old receipts and a lighter that hadn't worked in months. 

I'd forgotten I still had it. Hinestly, the old woman's silver coin from what felt like a lifetime ago ...
