Chapter 1 Betrayal

Chapter 1.

Lynn’s POV.

Alpha Felipe would announce his secret mate today before all the pack members, and today was also my seemingly fatherless daughter's birthday.

His pack members handed gifts in their hands as they yearned to meet their Luna for the first time. The room was filled with balloons, and the smell of frosting cake lingered.

" Really? You got some birthday cake for your bastard daughter? Do you know it would have made some sense if you had used the money to pay part of the huge debt your family owes instead?”

“ I'd be here when the Alpha would kick you two stinking runts out with your cake."

I and Barbie were waiting for Alpha Felipe as we held a cake in our hands. But the pack members had been throwing insults at us just because I got some debts racked on me and belonged to the Omega tier and didn't reveal who my daughter's father was.

" Oh, little girl. Didn't your mom tell you you have no father and deserve not to be celebrated?" One of the bullies stooped down, and yanked the cake away from her, ruining it on the floor. Barbie’s face contorted in coldness.

" The Alpha would break my bones if his secret mate would witness this curse of a cake.”

My jaw clenched, and fists molded into balls. My wolf juggled in my head, sparing to let loose and fight. I tamed it, knowing fully well all this humiliation would come to an end today.

" You want to fight, huh? Bring it on and humiliate yourself, pig!!"

My daughter and I were called so many poignant names because I was an Omega with a daughter that seemingly had no father.

But what the pack members didn't know was that I was Alpha Felipe’s secret mate, and he was the father of my daughter, Barbie.

When I clocked on the 18th and found out he was my mate, I thought he would sever our mate bond because of my status, but he didn't. Instead he chose to keep our mate bond under wraps, claiming he was protecting me.

But today, being Barbie's 5th birthday, I was excited the most because he had promised to spill the beans and put us back on the chair of honor we deserve.

A black Mercedes pulled to a stop, the sound of the screeching tires blaring through the window. His scent like blueberries and pines, hit my nostrils, easing the ache in my chest. I rushed to the window, my hands stiffening on the handles as I glanced down at the man that would put an end to our humiliation as he stepped out of the car.

He was strikingly handsome as usual with his amber eyes, physique like a demigod, and a charming smile. I was expecting him to pace up to us and announce us as his own with an immediate alacrity, but instead he motioned to the other side of the car, opening the door for a familiar figure.

My skin burned, my heart sinking into my stomach. Who was she?

Dark long hairs, slim body, sharp manicured fingers, like a top star model. She stepped out of the car, radiating dominance.

He just opened the car door for Sarah Clark, his Ex, who left him some years ago.

Not only that, he offered her his hand and helped her out of the car, both smiling at each other like perfect mates.

My legs almost buckled beneath me. My eyes burnt with rage.

" Guess the Alpha is back with his secret mate. She's a top star model from a powerful pack, beautiful and perfect for him."

“ Hey, debtor,I will strongly advise you to run away from here with your bastard daughter. If the Alpha and his beautiful secret mate sees you here he might chop on your bones.”

This statement was like a knife buried in my heart, twisting deeper and deeper the more I thought about it.

This was the right time Felipe could reveal me as his secret mate, and the father of my daughter. The pack must have mistook this golddigger for me. It wasn't their fault. However, this was the right time he made these bullies beg on their knees.

I ran downstairs to meet him, taking two stairs per leap. However, as I got downstairs, a faint murmur flinched in my ears and I was tempted to eavesdrop.

“ So when exactly do you plan to auction her? You promised me once she gives you a male pup she will be thrown out to where she belongs. It's been six years now all she could give you was the otherwise.”

“ Well, since she has failed to produce a male pup, if she is being auctioned I'm pretty sure it would cover her parent’s debt,” Felilpe's voice was low and intensional.

“ What will happen to her child?”

He played with his chin. “ I don't want to hold anything that belongs to her. I'll auction her too.”

My heart flew out of my chest, my inside out burning like a rage of fire. The weight of their words pressed against my chest that I almost collapsed.

Really? My six years of being a secret and loyal mate was just a waste? My sacrifices?

The air in the room became stuffy and heavy to breath. His words were like a two edged sword as they slit my throat.

Everything I've ever presumed about our secret relationship was a lie. It was a plot for me to breed him a male pup so he could discard me away like a house of placards and choose his Ex, Sandra— the same girl that left him some years ago, as he had claimed.

Tears filled my eyes. However, I ensured it didn't drop. My lips spun open in shock and betrayal.

Turning out of the veranda, I met them, still giggling and laughing at each other publicly as though nothing sacred had been torn , while the click of camera kissed the air as they took pictures of them.

That was all I ever asked him, just to come openly as my mate. Well, he did, but not with me, with his Ex. And me? I was just what he never cared about, a mere breeder, and nothing more.

Frozen in front of them, they paused in a slight shock, which was quickly replaced with a look of disgust.

“ What's going on, Felipe? What are you doing with this filth?"

A raging slap from him hit across my face as though the question was a blade on his throat. I cupped my hands over my bleeding mouth, tears finally bubbling in my eyes.

“ How dare you talk to Sandra like that, a filthy thing? Do you think she has a low family profile like you?” He yelled at me, disgust filling his eyes.
