Chapter 2
Me? Filthy thing? The same mother of his daughter, and a woman that stood by him when he had nothing?
“ Why did you do this to me? To us? You made fake promises to me all these years because of her?”
His face was devoid of remorse, and it punched my gut. He just moved closer to Sandra and wrapped his arms around her waist.
“Wait a minute, do you really think Felipe would let you be his Luna?You have no status and what it takes! And you've got some bad family records of debt, one you'll never be able to pay off in your lifetime,” Sandra scoffed.
“ You're nothing but a golddigger! Felipe is my mate, he belongs to us,” I spilled hot. His eyes bore a hole on my chest as he raised his hand again, ready to strike me down. However, she held his arms, calming him down.
“ Don't harm her, Felipe. She's just a dreamer who failed to understand that her dream couldn't come true,” Her voice dripped with false sweetness. The same man who didn't value my voice was succumbing to the voice of the woman that left him broken.
The pain that lingered in my heart made my wolf sobbed in my head.
“ Felipe, what will happen to the mate bond? Our daughter?” The tears I had tried to hold spilled down at both sides.
“ Good question,” He displayed a wicked grin. “ Auctioning you would pay off your family debt. And also, you take the girl with you. I wanted a male pup, but as unfortunate as you are, you gave birth to a female pup.”
My eyes blurred as his words hit on me like a heavy stone. He spoke to me with no guilt, as if he was out of his senses.
“ And for our mate bond?” He scoffed, wrapping his arms around her waist.
“ I, Alpha Felipe L’Oreal, of the crescent Moon pack, reject you, Lynn Edgar, as my destined mate."

After my parents died leaving behind a load of debts racked on me, I ventured into coding and hacking, a rare skill in our territory. But this was unbeknownst to anyone because I kept it anonymous and worked secretly for big and foreign packs for over two months.
However, when Felipe was losing to his brother, I made my skill known to the most powerful and coldest Lycan king of all time, Xander, offering to assist him guide his tech since the rogues were selling the Lycan data to the humans. Xander was a godfather who commands power. He could singlehandedly determine who wins and loses with just a glance.
My mate wasn't aware that he won against his brother because I offered myself for service for two months until he won.
However, today, all the sacrifices were rewarded with betrayal, humiliation, and severing of our heavenly bond.
“ Please reverse the rejection, please!” I coughed blood, my eyes bulging. Anytime an Alpha rejects an Omega she must accept the rejection right away or die from the pain of rejection unless he reverses it. My hands stiffened at both sides as I endured the rigorous pain, as I held up onto the beautiful bond that was about to be severed.
“ Seriously? Someone is really trying hard to protect her bond, her sweetheart, her daughter. Well, let's see how long you can go, girl!” Sarah scolded.
Her words were more of courage to me than mockery. I wouldn't let this beautiful bond break because of some golddigger. My wolf was whimpering in my head, begging me to hold on any longer.
I shot a straight gaze at Felipe and I could still see a part of him that wanted us, but suddenly, it shifted from his eyes, and was replaced with a disgusting glare.
“ You'll be nothing more than an asset to be auctioned!” His words were like a sharp blade slicing through my heart. My strength disappeared instantly and my knees cracked, dropping me on the floor.
“ I, Lynn Edgar, accept your rejection, Alpha Felipe L’Oreal, of the crescent Moon pack.”
The acceptance came with trembling voices and brewed tears as the bond severed. I didn't give up because I was going to die, I gave up because he wouldn't see me and my daughter less of an asset to be auctioned for debt.
A burning sensation bore in the middle of my chest, signifying how much weight the betrayal and rejection had on me. My wolf screeched on top, licking the wound of rejection.
“ Mummy!” Barbie ran up to me, curling her little hands around my trembling body. “ Who did this to you? Call Daddy right away!”
A faint chuckle mixed with tears escaped my lips. That was the little girl's dream. That one day her father would put our bully in their places, if only she knew this scoundrel standing in front of us with his mistress was her daddy she had been longing to meet.
“ You should have been a boy instead!” His eyes were filled with hatred as he stared down at Barbie. Barbie restrained from his coldness as she glued to me on the floor.
“ Applause for the Alpha and his beautiful secret mate.” The pack’s claps interrupted. He wrapped his hand around her waist instinctively and kissed her while I was on the floor catching my breath.
“ I'm sorry for not being competent enough, Alpha. I tried chasing her and her bastard daughter but she wouldn't listen.”
“ Take the child from her and throw her out of this place.”
“ Let Mommy go!” Barbie's little voice reached my ears as one guard lifted her up to his arms, and two yanked up my arms.
But as they pulled me up my feet I felt my body light. The last thing I heard before darkness overcame me was the tiny voice of my daughter screaming for help.

The next place I tore my eyes open was in the pack hospital. My inside felt sickened.
Then the pack nurse who was my childhood friend came with a stethoscope.
“ Are you feeling better now?” She asked in a low, composed tone.
I heaved a deep sigh as the thought of being rejected torrent in my head again. “ I'm fine, thank you.”
But there was something in her face that felt so strange, something she was finding it hard to say.
“ Well, I hope you know the father of your child this time!” She spoke, a petty smile radiating off her lips.
“ What do you mean, nurse?”
She stood up and handed a letter to me. I snapped it from her and pulled it out. I've not even read it when she read the content of the letter to my ears.
“ You're two weeks pregnant, and it's a male pup.”
