“Isn’t this the Su family’s young lady? How come she’s fallen on hard times after all these years? From the way she looks, I hope she’s not some new cleaner!”

As soon as those words were spoken, the others in the restroom began to laugh as well.

“Who doesn’t know that the Su family’s young lady is exceptionally beautiful and graceful? How many people have gone to great lengths just to see her? And now, she’s nothing but a stray dog.”

“Isn’t that right? She suddenly disappeared back then, and who would’ve thought she’d come back after several years.”

“If it were me, I’d definitely find a place to hide and never show my face again, so as not to be laughed at by others.”

“All you people keep saying are the same old things. I’m tired of hearing them. Can’t you come up with anything new?” Eileen Barton tilted her head slightly, her sharp gaze scanning the crowd.

After spending so many years abroad, she’s far from the little girl who used to be easily influenced by others’ words.

Alice Barton stepped forward to Erin Barton, looking down at her. “It’s been years since we last met. You’ve really gotten better, haven’t you? Your speaking skills have improved quite a bit.”

“I have no time to waste on you guys here. Please get out of the way.”

After saying that, Eileen Barton passed by Alice Barton and walked straight inside.

At that moment, Alice Barton grabbed Eileen Barton by the arm and said coldly, “You want to just walk away without apologizing after hitting someone?”

She clenched her hands tightly, her nails digging into Eileen Barton’s flesh.

Eileen Barton frowned and pushed Alice Barton away forcefully. “I was walking normally just now. It’s your fault for not watching where you’re going and bumping into me. You’re the one who should apologize!”

Everyone was utterly shocked by these words. No one had ever dared to provoke Alice Barton before. This had really gone too far.

Eileen Barton wore a faint smile on her face, but the words she spoke had a profound impact.

Many people heard that someone was arguing with Alice Barton, so out of curiosity, they all gathered around, completely blocking the bathroom.

“What happened?”

Emily Church waited in the office for a long time. When she heard noise outside, she rushed over.

Alice Barton’s assistant recounted what had just happened to Emily Church. Her words clearly favored Alice Barton. Eileen Barton stood by without making any explanations.

“It’s all a misunderstanding. It’s normal to bump into each other while walking around. So, please don’t make a fuss about it.”

Emily Church pulled Eileen Barton forward and continued, “Today, I’d like to formally introduce to you all Ailah, a designer who’s become very famous abroad. She’ll be our colleague from now on.”

“How is that possible?”

Alice Barton had heard of this designer before. Her style was unique and ever-changing. Many well-known companies wanted to hire her. Who would have thought that person was Eileen Barton herself.

The people around them were also shocked. For a moment, they couldn’t relate Ailah to Eileen Barton.

“I heard the company is currently looking for a chief designer. Could it be that she’s here for the interview?”

“If she really is Ailah, then we’re incredibly fortunate to be able to work with her in the future.”

“There were reports earlier that Ailah resigned from her previous company. I never expected her to end up working at our company.”

“I still have things to do, so I’ll be leaving now.” Eileen Barton turned to go. She didn’t want to see Alice Barton’s face anymore.

“What’s the hurry?” Alice Barton took out an invitation from her bag and handed it to Eileen Barton, clearly proud of herself. “Next week, Henry Warren and I will get married. You must come.”

Previously, since her career was in its ascending phase, she hadn’t revealed her relationship. Now that everything has stabilized, the two have decided to get married.

The patterns on the invitation were all outlined in gold thread. When the invitation was opened, there was also a wedding photo of Alice Barton and Henry Warren inside.

If even the wedding invitations are made with such care, then the wedding must be truly magnificent.

Eileen Barton tried hard to control her emotions, wearing a polite and generous smile. “Don’t worry, I’ll definitely be there.”

“I give you one piece of advice: if you’re returning to the country this time with the intention of taking Henry Warren away from me, then forget about it!” Alice Barton’s gaze was warning, as she rushed to assert her claim over Eileen Barton.

Emily Church, standing nearby, was completely confused about what was going on. She couldn’t understand what had happened, but she could sense that the two of them knew each other, and that there was some irreconcilable conflict between them.

Eileen Barton had long given up on Henry Warren. But if it would make Alice Barton unhappy, then whatever Eileen thought didn’t matter.

Alice Barton was furious, looking as though she wanted to tear Eileen Barton to shreds.

Sure enough, just as she thought, this woman truly has ulterior motives.

Seeing that the two people were about to start fighting, Emily Church quickly stepped in to break up the situation. “Miss Barton, we still have filming tasks to complete today. We must not delay any further.”

After hearing this, Alice Barton stopped complaining and left the restroom.

“Stop gathering here and go back to your desks immediately.”

Emily Church frowned slightly, immediately sending the onlookers away. Then, with concern, she looked at Eileen Barton. “How are you? Are you okay?”

“It’s okay.”

Eileen Barton shook her head, forcing out a smile that was even uglier than a cry.

Emily Church noticed that Eileen Barton didn’t seem to be in a good mood, so she didn’t ask any further questions.

After the two of them came out of the restroom, they happened to meet Teresa Barton, who was standing outside the door.

Eileen Barton’s nerves immediately tensed up. Fearing she might see what had just happened, she quickly asked, “What are you doing here?”

“Mom, please find me a father. That way, no one will dare to bully you anymore.”

Teresa Barton’s eyes were red, and her chubby little hands were clenched into fists.

Eileen Barton quickly hugged Teresa Barton in her arms and comforted her softly, “Don’t worry, I can handle whatever it is.”

As the saying goes, a mother becomes strong. Now that she has Teresa Barton by her side, she feels much stronger.

She never wanted to get married again before. But now that Teresa Barton has grown up and sees that other children have dads, she must be feeling sad.

So she also tried to open her heart, but it’s not that easy to accept someone again, is it?

“Mom, please agree to this. I can help you find a great father for me.”

Teresa Barton’s round eyes moved back and forth, as if she was thinking about something.
