Introduction
Until the real daughter, Serena, came home.
She put wolfsbane extract in my throat tea. At the most important celebration, I opened my mouth and what came out was broken, ugly sound. Everyone thought I was jealous, deliberately sabotaging the performance.
My room went to her. My choir position went to her. Derek said "you need to understand what Serena suffered." Marcus said "don't be so petty." Finn looked at me like I was a stranger: "My sister is Serena. You're just a fake."
I walked in on Marcus kissing Serena. He said: "She's my fated mate."
That rainy night, I took off Silvercrest's necklace and walked into the storm. Elara died.
Five years later, Silvercrest's delegation came to Pinewood for business. Derek saw me serving tea, his cup clattered to the floor: "Elara?!"
I smiled politely: "Sir, you have the wrong person. My name is Lily."
Marcus knelt before me crying about his regrets. I looked at him calmly: "Sorry, Mr. Marcus. Lily doesn't know you."
Then Serena's crimes were exposed. She screamed and charged at me. I stood in front of the crying children and caught her wrist—
"Five years ago, Elara might have let you hit her. But Lily won't."
Chapter 1
Elara's POV
I'm walking through the Silvercrest Pack community center just as the evening sun starts to dip below the horizon. There's a commotion ahead—a crowd of Pack members backing away from something, their faces tight with worry.
A seventeen-year-old boy is crouched in the center, trembling violently. His eyes are glowing red. First Shift failure. His wolf is trying to claw its way out, and he's losing control.
Someone mutters about getting the doctor. A mother pulls her kid behind her.
I step forward. "Hey. Look at me."
His breathing is ragged, almost hyperventilating. The red in his eyes flares brighter.
I start singing. It's an old lullaby, something Derek used to sing to me when I was little. Nothing fancy, just a simple melody that flows soft and steady like moonlight on water.
The boy's breathing slows. The red light in his eyes dims, then fades completely. He slumps to the ground and starts crying.
I crouch down beside him, resting a hand on his shoulder. "You're okay now. First Shift fails for a lot of people. It's nothing to be ashamed of."
He looks up at me, tears streaming down his face, and I see the gratitude there.
The Pack members relax. A woman approaches and squeezes my hand. "Thank you, Elara. Your voice always has this way of calming people."
"It's not magic or anything," I say, smiling. "Just letting him know he's not alone."
The doctor arrives and takes over. I head out as the Pack's street lights flicker on, casting everything in warm amber. This is my favorite time of day—when everything settles down and families come together.
Tonight's family dinner is supposed to be special. Derek mentioned Father has a "big surprise" to announce. Maybe it's about formalizing the ceremony for Marcus and me? We're already promised mates. We just need to make it official.
I'm still thinking about it when I push through the front door.
"Father? I'm home!" I call out, heading toward the living room.
Father is standing by the fireplace. Derek is perched on the arm of the sofa. And there's a girl I've never seen before sitting in the center of the couch. She looks about my age, with long chestnut hair and large, doe-like eyes that are currently fixed on me with an expression I can't quite read. Nervous, maybe.
"Elara," Father says, and his voice catches. "Come meet your sister."
I freeze. "Sister?"
"This is Serena," Derek says, standing up. His expression is complicated. "Our biological sister. She's been found."
It takes me a few seconds to process. Then the memories come flooding back—the hospital mix-up eighteen years ago, the missing Alpha's daughter everyone thought was lost forever.
Serena is that child.
Which means I'm the one who took her place for eighteen years.
The guilt hits me like a physical blow. I've been living her life. Her father, her brother, her home. Everything that should have been hers.
"Oh my God," I rush forward and throw my arms around her. "Welcome home! I can't believe I finally have a sister!"
Serena goes stiff for a second before her arms come up to return the hug. It's light, tentative, like she's embracing a stranger.
I pull back, practically vibrating with excitement. "You must have so many stories! Where have you been living? Are you okay? If you need anything, just tell me. We're family!"
"Thank you," Serena says quietly.
Just those two words. No warmth behind them.
But I don't overthink it. She's probably overwhelmed. This has to be terrifying for her, walking into a completely unfamiliar place and being told these are her people.
"Serena has been living in Nightshade Pack," Father says carefully. "The conditions there were... less than ideal."
Less than ideal. That's putting it mildly. I can tell from the way Derek's jaw tightens that it was bad. Really bad.
I look at Serena more closely now. Her clothes are worn, almost threadbare. There are scars on her fingers. And there's this guardedness to her, like she's constantly braced for something terrible to happen.
My heart breaks.
She should have grown up here. Loved and protected and safe. Not wherever she was, suffering.
During dinner, Serena tells us about her past.
"They treated me like an Omega," she says softly, tears welling up in her eyes. "I lived in the basement. It was cold and damp. I was hungry a lot. They said I didn't deserve anything better."
Tears roll down my cheeks. Derek's fists clench on the table. Father's face goes hard as stone.
"Those days are over," Father says firmly. "You're home now."
"I don't want to be a burden," Serena says, her voice small. "I can stay in the guest room, or maybe—"
"Absolutely not!" The words burst out of me. "You should have the best room in the house. Mine faces south, gets amazing sunlight, and the view is beautiful. You should take it. I'll move to the guest room."
"Elara, you don't have to..." Serena starts, but I catch a flicker of something in her eyes. Hope, maybe.
"I insist," I say, reaching across the table to squeeze her hand. "You've been through hell. You deserve something good now."
Derek gives me an approving look. "That's my girl. Always thinking of others."
After dinner, I head upstairs to start packing up my things. Serena appears in my doorway, watching me gather my belongings.
"You're really kind to me, Elara," she says. Her tone is light, almost airy. "So very kind."
There's something in her voice I can't quite place. Something cold.
But I brush it off. She's probably still adjusting. I smile at her. "We're sisters. This is what family does. If you ever need anything, just ask."
Serena doesn't respond. She just stands there, watching me with those dark, unreadable eyes.

I squeezed my eyes shut.
"Dani," he pressed. "Do you get me?"
"No, Austin, I don't," I admitted as I pulled my robe closed again and sat up. "You confuse me."
He dragged his hands down his face. "Tell me what's on your mind."
I sighed. "You're everything my parents warned me against. You're secretive, but you're also honest. I feel wholly protected by you, but then you scare me more than anyone I've ever known. You're a bad boy, but when I dated a so-called good one, he turned out to be the devil, so, yeah, I don't get you because you're not what I expected. You drive me crazier than anyone I've ever met, but then you make me feel complete. I'm feeling things I don't quite know how to process and that makes me want to run. I don't want to give up something that might be really, really good, but I also don't want to be stupid and fall for a boy just because he's super pretty and makes me come."

Accardi
“I thought you said you were done chasing me?” Gen mocked.
“I am done chasing you.”
Before she could formulate a witty remark, Matteo threw her down. She landed hard on her back atop his dining room table. She tried to sit up when she noticed what he was doing. His hands were working on his belt. It came free of his pants with a violent yank. She collapsed back on her elbows, her mouth gaping open at the display. His face was a mask of sheer determination, his eyes were a dark gold swimming with heat and desire. His hands wrapped around her thighs and pulled her to the edge of the table. He glided his fingers up her thighs and hooked several around the inside of her panties. His knuckles brushed her dripping sex.
“You’re soaking wet, Genevieve. Tell me, was it me that made you this way or him?” his voice told her to be careful with her answer. His knuckles slid down through her folds and she threw her head back as she moaned. “Weakness?”
“You…” she breathed.

From Substitute To Queen
Heartbroken, Sable discovered Darrell having sex with his ex in their bed, while secretly transferring hundreds of thousands to support that woman.
Even worse was overhearing Darrell laugh to his friends: "She's useful—obedient, doesn't cause trouble, handles housework, and I can fuck her whenever I need relief. She's basically a live-in maid with benefits." He made crude thrusting gestures, sending his friends into laughter.
In despair, Sable left, reclaimed her true identity, and married her childhood neighbor—Lycan King Caelan, nine years her senior and her fated mate. Now Darrell desperately tries to win her back. How will her revenge unfold?
From substitute to queen—her revenge has just begun!
Badass in Disguise
"Jade, I need to check your—" the nurse began.
"OUT!" I snarled with enough force that both women backed toward the door.
Once feared by Shadow Organization that drugged me to replicate my abilities into a more controllable version, I had escaped my restraints and detonated their entire facility, ready to die alongside my captors.
Instead, I woke up in a school infirmary with women arguing around me, their voices piercing my skull. My outburst froze them in shock—clearly they hadn't expected such a reaction. One woman threatened as she left, "We'll discuss this attitude when you get home."
The bitter truth? I've been reborn into the body of an overweight, weak, and supposedly dim-witted high school girl. Her life is filled with bullies and tormentors who've made her existence miserable.
But they have no idea who they're dealing with now.
I didn't survive as the world's deadliest assassin by allowing anyone to push me around. And I certainly won't start now.
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.

My drunk stepfather remained indifferent, his weight suffocating, making it hard to breathe as my heart raced.
