Chapter 303
Tessa’s POV
As soon as we were in my office and the door was closed, I laughed. I couldn’t hold it in any longer. Joseph just grinned at me as he wrapped his arms around me, kissing down my neckline and over my exposed shoulders.
“Did you see their faces?” I asked, unable to contain the giggles. “It was priceless. I owe you so much for that.”
“I’m sorry I couldn’t come sooner,” he said, keeping his arms around my waist and swaying us back and forth around my office like we were dancing to a melody that only we could hear. “I had to take care of some work.”
“It’s okay,” I said, smiling up at him. “It was perfect.”
He bent and brushed his lips across mine and I felt heat coursing through my body. I melted into his kiss, wanting it to go so much further, but not wanting to cross that line at work. The last thing I needed was for rumors to spread around this place. I had a feeling rumor spread like wildfire and that wasn’t something I wanted to deal with.
“We should do this interview,” I said, putting my hand on his chest to keep him from kissing me any further.
A crease formed between his brows as he looked at me.
“You actually want to ask me questions?” He asked, raising his brows. “What don’t you already know about me?”
I shrugged.
“I guess I just thought you’d want to give actual statements. This is going to be in a worldwide magazine,” I reminded him.
He smiles and then he kisses me again.
“I trust you,” he said between kisses. “There’s nothing you don’t already know about me.”
I sighed as his kiss deepened and I smiled against his mouth. I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled myself closer to him, unable to control myself any further. He lifted me off the ground and I immediately wrapped my legs around his waist. He sat me down on my desk and I could feel his hardness pressing into me.
I couldn’t help the moan that escaped my lips as he ground my hips against him and continued to kiss him deeply. He ran his fingers down my sides, making me wiggle from the sensation and then I felt his hands on my bare flesh as he explored the insides of my shirt. I was glad I was wearing a skirt today because I wouldn’t have to remove those.
He lifted my shirt up to my chest, so my breasts were exposed but he didn’t lift it over my head. The look of hunger and desire pooling in his eyes was almost too much for me to take. I felt my center moisten as he took me in. I wore a red bra with matching red panties. They made me feel incredibly sexy and plus, I knew they were Joseph’s favorites.
He cupped my breasts over my bra with his large hands, playing with the fabrics of my bra and attempting to get my nipples hard. I could feel them pebbling from the sensation before he lifted my bra over my breasts and released them for him to see. He dipped his head low, and he took my nipple in his mouth, twirling it with his tongue and tugging on it with his teeth. He delicately plated with the other one until it pebbled between his fingers and then he moved his mouth over to it.
Goosebumps attacked my skin and chills ran the course of my flesh, but it felt incredible. I quickly tried to undo his pants, my fingers shaking with the anticipation. He pulled back slightly so he could help me, and I grinned at him.
Once he released himself, I hiked my skirt up and moved my panties to the side. He positioned himself between my legs and I moaned with pleasure as he slid deep inside of me. I had to bite down on his shoulder to keep from screaming. As he thrust inside of me, the desk kept shaking and for a second, I feared that it was going to break.
His lips found mine and he tasted so incredibly sweet as his tongue explored my mouth. He nibbled on my bottom lip, and I smiled into the kiss. With the buildup of my orgasm, my legs began to wobble.
“Joseph…” I moaned, unable to hold it in anymore.
That was enough to undo us both and we both came undone in unison, falling against one another and fighting to catch our breath.
“Holy shit,” I whispered. “What an interview.”
He laughed and then he kissed me as he pulled away.
“I hope you don’t do this with everyone you interview,” he teased, giving me a stern look.
I gave him an innocent one in return.
“Only you.”
He grinned at my response and then tucked himself back into his pants, much to my dismay. I would gladly stare at his manhood all day. But I really had to get back to work and he was only going to distract me further.
“I should get these profiles done,” I told him, lifting the folder that Megan had given me earlier. “I think we can say we’ve interviewed long enough.”
“Make me look good in the article,” he said, kissing me one last time. “I’ll see you at home. I think I’m going to run by the academy and see Ruby. I want to keep her updated on everything.”
“Tell her I miss her and that I love her,” I said. I hadn’t spoken to my best friend in so long and I really did miss her.
“I will,” he assured me. “And you should try speaking to your father again. It’s probably better to get him away from Penny.”
I nodded, feeling a knot build in the pit of my stomach. My father doesn’t want to hear anything negative about Penny. But I was going to have to try.
After one last kiss goodbye, Joseph left. I heard him saying goodbye to Ashley before he left the building completely.
I got to work with the profiles and not even 5 minutes after Joseph had left, Megan was at my door with her arms folded across her chest.
My cheeks flushed wondering if she heard what we had done in here. Oh God, I hoped not.
“Why didn’t you tell me you spoke to him yesterday? It would have saved a lot of grief and embarrassment,” she said, her brows furrowed.
“I wasn’t sure if he would actually come or not. We didn’t actually talk about anything yesterday. He caught me snooping outside his house and he invited me to dinner. I intended to ask him some questions for the article, but I guess I was starstruck. I honestly didn’t get much done other than getting his phone number,” I lied completely, trying to sound casual.
“So, was it a date or something?” Megan surprised me by asking.
“What? No, of course not,” I said, but even I didn’t sound convincing to myself. “It was just dinner. We really didn’t talk about much of anything. He told me that he might swing by today if he has time so we can do that interview, but I wasn’t holding my breath. That’s why I didn’t say anything. I didn’t want to get your hopes up.”
“Well, I’m sorry for how I spoke to you earlier,” she told me, wrapping her arms around her body. “Obviously it was wrong of me, and you are no longer off the case. I hope you got some good material for this article because it needs to be big.”
“I got pictures too,” I told her with a smile. “It’ll be phenomenal.”
“I knew I could count on you, Tessa,” she said, turning to leave, Then she paused. “Take your time with the profiles. I don’t need them today. Focus your attention on this article.”
“Yes, mam,” I said to her, giving her a solute. I fully intend to do the profiles by the end of today and write an amazing article for Fable Magazine.
I drowned myself in work for the rest of the day. I spent most of the time completing the profiles and organizing them in the manila folder before going to Megan’s office. She was already gone for the evening so I let myself in and placed the folder on her desk before returning to my office.
On my way back I paused when I saw Morgana and Ashely speaking in hushed tones at the reception desk. They were both getting ready to leave and I could tell they were gossiping as usual. I tried to avoid their eyes, but I ended up making eye contact with Morgana and she scowled evilly at me, sending a chill down my spine.
I swallowed the lump in my throat and quickly hurried into my office. Just as I sat back down, my cell phone rang. When I looked at the screen, I nearly screamed when I saw who was calling me.
