Chapter 4
Jane's POV
When the public statement went out, I knew it would be a hard one to stand on my own. Especially, returning all shares. It literally meant I was starting my company all over again.
But I do not care as far as this marriage is concerned.
My phone started ringing aloud, and when I checked, I realized it was my lawyer.
I picked up the call. “Hello.”
“Hello, Miss Jane. I saw the news. Are you sure you want to do this?” He asked me.
“Yes.” I replied sharply.
“In that case, I will prepare a legal document in your support. I hope you have spoken about this with your father.” He asked me.
“There is no point in coming to an agreement with him. I will call him now to…” Before I finished my statement, my phone started beeping.
I checked it and realised it was my father calling.
“I will call you back. My father is on the line.” I said and quickly picked up my father's call.
“Hello, Father.” I said it with calm.
“Don't you dare call me your father, you bastard! You didn't only stop by disgracing me in front of the congregation at your wedding. You went ahead to sever ties with my company. What kind of a daughter acts so rashly? I am disappointed in you.” He lashed out at me.
I wasn't intimidated by any of his words. In fact, I was proud of what I did. “It is my life, and you won't teach me how to run it, Father. Enough of the leech you put on me because you helped in developing my company. I am proud of myself.” I responded to him with pride in my voice.
“You ungrateful bastard!” He spoke with fierce anger.
“I will return all the money you ever invested in my company. Do have a nice day, thank you.” I ended the call with him.
And immediately, I put a call across to the financial team. “Hello,” I said, after he picked up the call.
“Hello, Ma.”
“I believe you still have the record of all the transactions with Grande's cooperation, right?” I asked him.
“Yes, I do.”
“Good. Look at Grande's investment from the start of the company to this period. I will give you only five minutes to check this and revert.” I ordered.
I ended the call, and I had to wait for five minutes. My phone started ringing.
“Hello, the update?” I asked.
“Grade's cooperation investment, including its shares, is actually five hundred million dollars.” He explained.
“Good. Transfer all the money to Grande's corporate account. Once that is done, document the receipt in case of any future legal case.”
“Okay, Ma.”
After his response, I ended the phone call and took a deep breath.
“Drive in!” The sound of a car zooming into my compound caught my attention.
‘That must be Hades, the man I rejected.’ I decided to meet him first before he comes to make a mess out of my house.
I stood up hurriedly and walked out of my house just to meet with him.
Getting outside, Hades stepped down from his car, and a lady stepped down also.
The lady walked close to him and kissed him on his cheek before holding him by the wrist.
I half-smiled because I knew what he was doing. ‘Trying to make me jealous with his newfound love.’
“Glad you moved on, Hades.” I remarked.
He shot a deadly glare at me. “You disappointed me, Jane. I had thought everything was going to go smoothly as planned. But you ruined it all and disgraced me. I won't forget the humiliation you caused me.” He spoke fiercely.
“I don't care. I did what I did, and I didn't regret it.” I expressed it proudly.
He looked at me with disgust. “Don't think you will get away so easily. Your company will come to ruin with the enemies you just made. I will make sure you regret it.” He vibrated fiercely.
I intentionally yawned because I was getting bored. “That should be for me to worry about. I will take my leave now.” I said and walked away from him.
I have never felt so fulfilled in my life. After the breakup with my ex, I decided I would never be a pushover again.

The next day.
“Ringing.” The repeated ringing of my phone startled me awake from my sleep.
‘Gosh. It's morning already.’ I murmured and had to check on my phone.
When I saw it was my secretary, I was surprised and had to pick it up at once. “Hello. What is with the early morning call?” I asked outright.
“There is a problem, Ma.” She spoke with panic.
“Okay, spill.” I said with confidence.
“The top ten shareholders sold their shares early this morning and cancelled all investments with our company. At this rate we will go bankrupt.” She alerted me with fear.
I exhaled after hearing the news. ‘I have been expecting this.’ It was the consequence of action, and I wasn't afraid to face it.
“This company won't go bankrupt. I will do everything to get a new investor. Alert the marketing department to work on a new marketing strategy so that we can make a lot of profit.” I ordered.
“Okay, Ma.” I ended the call.
I walked into the bathroom to freshen up with thoughts on how to get to the apex in my mind. Suddenly, an idea came into my head, but then it was a risky one.
I either lose all my investment, which means bankruptcy, or I either gain a thousandfold.
I finished bathing and headed out of the bathroom to wear my clothes. ‘I have to do this. That might be the only way out of this whole mess.’
Without waiting any further, I put a call across to the marketing team, and a representative picked up.
“Who amongst you is an expert trader?” I asked.
“There is none among us, ma. But there is one that I know. He is gifted with it.”
“Good. Invite him to the office immediately. I have a deal for him!” I ordered.
“Okay, Ma.” After his response, I ended the call.
