Chapter 145

Gavin’s POV

Out of all the things for Erin to blurt out at that moment, Gavin certainly was not expecting that one.

Her face was as red as cherry as soon as those words left her mouth.

She couldn’t believe she blurted it out like that either.

“You’re pregnant?” Gavin managed to ask after what felt like an eternity of silence.

Tears filled her eyes, and he could see the shame that lurked behind her gaze. She was truly struggling with this, and Gavin didn’t understand why.

Unless the baby wasn’t ours.

“Oh… it’s ours,” Roman said, sniffing the air. “She’s having our pups!”

“You knew about this?” Gavin growled at his wolf. “And you didn’t think to tell me?”

“Our mate was right, with everything going on, it never seemed like the right time. Besides, I only now just picked up the scent. Go easy on her… I don’t want anything disrupting this baby of ours.”

“Are you mad?” Erin brought Gavin out of his conversation with his wolf. “I would understand if you were mad.”

She kept her eyes fixated on her hands, tugging at them nervously.

“Are you kidding me?” Gavin wanted to laugh.

He cupped his hand under her face and brought her eyes to his.

“We are having a baby. I’m overjoyed,” he said, lovingly; and he meant that. “Apparently my wolf knew it this entire time. Maybe that’s why it was so easy for him to take that dagger for you.”

Erin’s face reddened again.

“It could have been bad, yes,” she agreed, placing her hands on her stomach. “I still can’t believe something is growing in there. I never really had a chance to let that process yet. At least not until now.”

Gavin wrapped his arms around her and held her close to him.

“We are going to be parents,” he said, allowing that thought to settle in. “I never thought we would get to this point after you broke up with me.”

She burrowed her face into his chest.

“I don’t want to think about that right now,” she murmured against him.

Her smell was so intoxicating I was taking all his straight to not rip her clothes off right then and there.

“I have a surprise for you too,” he quickly said, rummaging through his bedside table.

He’s been wanting to do this for a while, but it never seemed like the right timing for their alignment. But now, while she was carrying his pup, and she was finally all his, it seemed like the perfect time.

She stared at the little black box in shock for a moment.

“I’ve been wanting to do this for a long time,” Gavin said, opening the box to reveal a gorgeous diamond wedding ring with small blue sapphires decorating the silver band. This ring once belonged to his mother and was given to Gavin for when he found his mate.

“Oh, Gavin…” she breathed, staring at the ring.

She reached her hand out to take the box; he could tell she was thinking intently about something. She stared at the ring with a timid frown on her face.

“Do you not like the ring?” He asked, eyeing her perplexed features.

“The ring is gorgeous,’ she breathed, looking at him with misty eyes. “It’s the ring of a Luna. I know these symbols on the inside…”

“Is that a problem?”

“Do you really think I could be a good luna?” She asked, keeping her eye locked on his. “I’m worried that I will let you down.”

“You helped me boost my rankings because everybody at the convention loved you. I don’t think you have to worry about not being a good Luna. But even so, I don’t need you to be perfect. I need you to be exactly who you are. The one I fell in love with and the woman I continue to love every day. As long as you can do that, then you are the perfect Luna.

Erin put the ring on the bedside table and threw her arms around him. His words were incredibly sexy, and she wanted him right now.

As she wrapped her legs around him and sat on his lap, she kissed him deeply and passionately.

He pulled away only for a moment to say, “That wasn’t an answer…”

She only laughed as she began to kiss his neck.

Gavin trailed his fingertips down her soft skin, leaving goosebumps on his track. He ran his kisses down the nape of her neck, tickling her in the process. He licked and nicked at her; basically, everything except for marking her, even though he so desperately wanted to do just that.

Erin tossed her shirt to the ground, revealing her breasts to him. She ran her fingers through his hair as he continued to kick and lick her. She threw her head back, enjoying every sensation of his tongue.

They were both stripping naked as the heat and the passion grew even more intense. He was pressing her to the bed, kissing all down her body and positioning himself between her legs. She dug into the bed sheets as he pleased her with his tongue.

She gasped and moaned out his name, causing him to grow hungrier for her. A low growl escaped from his throat as he made his way up her torso and back to her lips.

She kissed him like he was the breath of fresh air that she’s been deprived of.

As her heat grew, her body began to glow a light pink shade and her nipples grew hard. He ran his fingers down her body until he reached her core, throwing his fingers inside of her and feeling her juices dripping down her leg.

A small whimper escaped her lips; she kept her eyes closed tightly and she was gasping out for another breath of air as he leaned down and kissed her.

He explored her mouth with his tongue curiously, biting onto her bottom lip and bringing it further into his mouth.

She thrust against him, her breasts dancing happily in his face. He attacked her nipples with his teeth, pulling and tugging at them, causing her to wince only slightly.

“Oh, Gavin,” she gasped, burying her face in his neck.

Gavin finally had what was his and he was never going to let her go again. He was finally reconnected with his mate on all levels. Mind, body, soul, and wolf.

There wasn’t an area in the room where they didn’t have sex.

At one point, they even ended up on top of his dresser.

Gavin knocked over everything on his dresser to make room for them. She wrapped her legs around his waist and kept herself close to him as he thrust into her. He didn’t care if everyone inthe3 packhouse could hear them; he wanted them all to know that Erin was his.

After they’ve climaxed, again and again, they finally lay side by side on the bed. They were both breathing heavily and staring at the ceiling. Gavin kept one hand behind his head and another one wrapped around Erin’s body.

She kept her hands on her stomach and attempted to slow down her heart rate. Neither of them said a word for a long while.

None of them knew what to say to one another. Until Erin looked over at him, keeping her eyes locked on her face, she said, “Yes.”

He looked back over at her curiously and confused.

“What?” He asked, keeping his eyes locked on hers.

“Yes,” she said again. “I’ll marry you.”
