Chapter 1

Aishe's POV

In my past life, I drained my own dragon blood to help my husband, Flark, ascend into a dragon. I nearly sacrificed my life to bear him our dragon-beast son, Fris. Yet, all I received in return was ruthless betrayal.

Flark personally brought me a cup of deadly poison, sneering that my lowborn white snake blood had stained the noble dragon race.

Even Fris, the son I raised with my own hands, threw my true body to the giant eagles without a shred of mercy. He cold-bloodedly declared that only my half-sister, Bryn, was worthy of all the glory.

As my flesh was torn apart in agonizing despair, I died harboring endless hatred—only to be reborn on the day of the marriage selection.

This time, Flark got his wish. He publicly abandoned me, joyfully choosing to marry my half-sister Bryn, foolishly believing he could use her power to leap into dragonhood.

What he would never know was that I—the one he so trashily threw away—was the true possessor of the pure Dragon Bloodline.

"Father, I've made my choice. I will marry Bryn."

Hearing Flark’s familiar, scheming voice, I snapped my eyes open.

Inside the grand hall of the Serennis Snake Clan, Flark was holding my half-sister Bryn’s hand tightly, proudly announcing his decision to the entire crowd.

The hall burst into hushed chatter. Everyone pointed fingers, but I simply let out a long sigh of relief in my heart.

Flark turned to look at me, his eyes gleaming with the arrogant, villainous triumph of a small man who thought he had won.

In that instant, I understood: this scoundrel had been reborn with the memories of our past life as well.

In the Serennis Clan, scale patterns decided everything. The more colorful the patterns, the higher the status. Both Bryn and I were the lowest of the low—pure-colored snakes. I was a white snake, and she was a green snake. Because we lacked vibrant patterns, we had been the laughingstock of the clan since childhood.

In our past life, Flark—the thirteenth son of low status—chose me, the most ignored girl in the clan.

Back then, I mistook it for salvation and true love. Three months into our marriage, he evolved from a lowly mud worm into a snake. Later, when I became pregnant, I fought through hell to bear him our dragon-beast son, Fris.

On Fris’s birth day, Flark broke through to become a dragon-beast himself. The wizard Gorath predicted they would fully ascend to true dragons within five hundred years!

When King Kaelthyr abdicated, Flark naturally took the throne, and I became the supreme Queen.

Yet I never imagined that the very first thing the father and son would do after achieving power was hand me a cup of poison.

"You filthy white snake are the only stain on our noble dragon lives!" Flark sneered as he forced me to drink.

And Fris, the son I bled to raise, coldly threw my snake body to the giant eagles: "Mother, only a born dragon-woman like Bryn deserves to be Father's wife. You? You're just eagle food!"

The excruciating agony of being torn apart alive still roared in my bones.

In this life, Flark clearly believed that by dumping me and taking Bryn, he could skip the long wait and instantly transform into a dragon!

"Flark, have you lost your mind?" Kaelthyr frowned, sternly interrupting my thoughts. "If you want a pure-colored snake, Aishe is a hundred times better than Bryn in both talent and beauty! Her mother was once a top-tier priestess, while Bryn’s mother was nothing but a opportunistic maid!"

"Father, I fell in love with Bryn at first sight!" Flark dropped to his knees in the center of the hall, his tone unyielding. "I will marry no one but her!"

Standing beside him, Bryn trembled with excitement, her eyes brimming with the pride of stepping over my head. She shot me a side-glance and murmured in a sickeningly sweet voice, "Aishe, I'm so sorry. It seems that even if your status is higher than mine, Flark's heart still belongs to me."

"Then congratulations to you both," I sneered faintly.

Kaelthyr let out a helpless sigh. "Fine. Since you insist on marrying a maid's daughter, I shall grant your wish."

Seeing the match finalized, I thought I could make a clean break and leave these lunatics behind.

Unexpectedly, Flark suddenly turned around and pointed at me maliciously. "Father, since Aishe has no one to marry, why not give her to Uncle Valen? He’s getting old, and his only regret in life is never marrying or having children!"

A collective gasp echoed through the hall.

Valen was Kaelthyr's full brother. He was once an unbeatable warrior, but now he lay bedridden, clinging to his last breath.

In the previous life, Bryn was the one forced to marry Valen. Valen died on their wedding night, and Bryn was blamed for cursing her husband, nearly getting skinned and paraded in shame. She only survived by using magic drugs to fake dragon horns, pretending to be a dragon goddess.

In this life, Flark clearly wanted to dump this death sentence onto me, pushing me into hell once and for all.

Kaelthyr's eyes lit up, and he immediately slammed his hand down. "Yes! Before your grandmother passed, I promised to take care of your uncle. Since that's the case, Aishe, you shall marry Valen! The wedding will take place in three days!"

I raised no objection.

Three days later, without a grand ceremony or cheering crowds, I was about to be escorted to Valen's residence when Flark walked in, arrogantly arm-in-arm with Bryn.

Bryn giggled, leaning coyly against Flark's chest. "Aishe, you really should thank Flark. If he hadn't suggested it, a lowborn white snake like you would never step foot inside the Royal Family’s doors!"

Flark scanned me up and down with cruel mockery in his eyes. "Tried to climb up to me, didn't you? Now you're stuck marrying my dying uncle!"

I looked at Flark calmly. "Flark, do you really have no idea what you actually are? A worm crawling in the mud dares to strut in front of me?"

"What do you know?!" Flark’s face twisted in rage as he pulled Bryn tighter. "Once Bryn and I have a child, we will rapidly ascend into dragons!"

Bryn held her chin up high like a proud peacock. "That's right! Flark is destined to be dragons! As for you, get ready to be a widow!"

Looking at these two self-absorbed fools, I almost burst out laughing.

With dragon blood, a snake takes three hundred years to become a dragon-beast, and five hundred to ascend into a true dragon.

Flark had always believed he achieved dragon status because of his own "blood."

He had no idea that pure dragon blood flowed inside my veins!

Even his proud son Fris was only born a dragon-beast because he inherited the majority of my bloodline!

And Bryn wasn't a dragon at all—she had simply fooled everyone back then using illusion potions!

"Then I wish you a happy marriage," I suppressed the bloodthirsty hatred in my heart, a creepy smile curling on my lips. "I just hope you actually turn into a dragon, rather than a larger digging worm."

"Just you wait! When the time comes, I'll rip your head off myself!" Flark cursed venomously before storming out with Bryn.

Watching them leave, the warmth in my eyes vanished completely.

Without my dragon blood, I'd love to see how a filthy worm like you become dragons!
